commit 417c01b92ec278a1118a05c6ad8a796eaa0c9c52 upstream. The driver uses "whole" fps in all its calculations (e.g. in load_per_instance()). Those calculation expect an fps bigger than 1, and not big enough to overflow. Clamp the param if the user provides a value that will result in an invalid fps. commit 3200144a2fa4209dc084a19941b9b203b43580f0 upstream. Make sure the interrupt handler is initialized before the interrupt is registered. If the IRQ is registered before hfi_create(), it's possible that an interrupt fires before the handler setup is complete, leading to a NULL dereference. 2025-08-28media: pisp_be: Fix pm_runtime underrun in probeJacopo Mondi2-3/+3
commit e9bb2eacc7222ff8210903eb3b7d56709cc53228 upstream. During the probe() routine, the PiSP BE driver needs to power up the interface in order to identify and initialize the hardware. The driver resumes the interface by calling the pispbe_runtime_resume() function directly, without going through the pm_runtime helpers, but later suspends it by calling pm_runtime_put_autosuspend(). This causes a PM usage count imbalance at probe time, notified by the runtime_pm framework with the below message in the system log: pispbe 1000880000.pisp_be: Runtime PM usage count underflow! Fix this by resuming the interface using the pm runtime helpers instead of calling the resume function directly and use the pm_runtime framework in the probe() error path. While at it, remove manual suspend of the interface in the remove() function. The driver cannot be unloaded if in use, so simply disable runtime pm. To simplify the implementation, make the driver depend on PM as the RPI5 platform where the ISP is integrated in uses the PM framework by default. 2025-08-20media: venus: Fix OOB read due to missing payload bound checkVedang Nagar1-25/+58
commit 06d6770ff0d8cc8dfd392329a8cc03e2a83e7289 upstream. Currently, The event_seq_changed() handler processes a variable number of properties sent by the firmware. The number of properties is indicated by the firmware and used to iterate over the payload. However, the payload size is not being validated against the actual message length. This can lead to out-of-bounds memory access if the firmware provides a property count that exceeds the data available in the payload. Such a condition can result in kernel crashes or potential information leaks if memory beyond the buffer is accessed. Fix this by properly validating the remaining size of the payload before each property access and updating bounds accordingly as properties are parsed. This ensures that property parsing is safely bounded within the received message buffer and protects against malformed or malicious firmware behavior. commit ae42c6fe531425ef2f47e82f96851427d24bbf6b upstream. If ti_csi2rx_start_dma() fails in ti_csi2rx_dma_callback(), the buffer is marked done with VB2_BUF_STATE_ERROR but is not removed from the DMA queue. commit 910efa649076be9c2e1326059830327cf4228cf6 upstream. Currently, if streamon/streamoff calls are imbalanced we can either end up with a negative ISI m2m usage_count (if streamoff() is called more times than streamon()) in which case we'll not be able to restart the ISI pipe next time, or the usage_count never gets to 0 and the pipe is never switched off. To avoid that, add a 'streaming' flag to mxc_isi_m2m_ctx_queue_data and use it in the streamon/streamoff to avoid incrementing/decrementing the usage_count uselessly, if called multiple times from the same context. commit c4b7779abc6633677e6edb79e2809f4f61fde157 upstream. When function of_find_device_by_node() fails, it returns NULL instead of an error code. So the corresponding error check logic should be modified to check whether the return value is NULL and set the error code to be returned as -ENODEV. commit fbb5298bf1a7b71723cd2bb193642429ceb0fb84 upstream. In commit 4af65141e38e ("media: marvell: cafe: Register V4L2 device earlier"), a call to v4l2_device_register() was moved away from mccic_register() into its caller, marvell/cafe's cafe_pci_probe(). This is not the only caller though -- there's also marvell/mmp. Add v4l2_device_register() into mmpcam_probe() to unbreak the MMP camera driver, in a fashion analogous to what's been done to the Cafe driver. Same for the teardown path. commit 1378ffec30367233152b7dbf4fa6a25ee98585d1 upstream. The proble is on the first line: if (jpeg->pd_dev[i] && !pm_runtime_suspended(jpeg->pd_dev[i])) If jpeg->pd_dev[i] is an error pointer, then passing it to pm_runtime_suspended() will lead to an Oops. The other conditions check for both error pointers and NULL, but it would be more clear to use the IS_ERR_OR_NULL() check for that. [ Upstream commit 7b12ab055edef2f51733d155617a401a05237bcc ] Running the v4l2-compliance (1.27.0-5208, SHA: af114250d48d) on the m2m device fails on the MMAP streaming tests, with the following messages: fail: v4l2-test-buffers.cpp(240): g_field() == V4L2_FIELD_ANY fail: v4l2-test-buffers.cpp(1508): buf.qbuf(node) Apparently, the driver does not properly set the field member of vb2_v4l2_buffer struct, returning the default V4L2_FIELD_ANY value which is against the guidelines.
