2022-03-18media: platform: re-structure TI driversPratyush Yadav1-343/+0
The ti-vpe/ sub-directory does not only contain the VPE-specific things. It also contains the CAL driver, which is a completely different subsystem. This is also not a good place to add new drivers for other TI platforms since they will all get mixed up. Separate the VPE and CAL parts into different sub-directories and rename the ti-vpe/ sub-directory to ti/. This is now the place where new TI platform drivers can be added. 2021-07-12media: ti-vpe: cal: allow more than 1 source padsTomi Valkeinen1-3/+18
CAL RX has a single sink and a single source pad. To support multiple streams, we will have multiple source pads (up to 8, one for each CAL context). Change the driver to allow creating more source pads and change the code accordingly to handle multiple source pads. We still keep CAL_CAMERARX_NUM_SOURCE_PADS as 1, and the behavior is unchanged. Also rename CAL_CAMERARX_PAD_SOURCE to CAL_CAMERARX_PAD_FIRST_SOURCE to highlight that it's the first source. 2021-07-12media: ti-vpe: cal: add camerarx lockingTomi Valkeinen1-0/+6
We don't have any locking in camerarx for the subdev ops. We have managed fine so far without locking, but in the future multiple video capture devices can use the same camerarx, and locking is a must. Add a mutex to protect the camerarx subdev ops. 2021-07-12media: ti-vpe: cal: support 8 DMA contextsTomi Valkeinen1-2/+3
The current driver only ever needs 2 DMA contexts (one per PHY), but we need to use more of the 8 contexts to add support for multiple streams. Change the code so that we allocate DMA contexts as needed, which at this time is 1 per PHY, but could be up to 8. 2021-07-12media: ti-vpe: cal: remove cal_camerarx->fmtinfoTomi Valkeinen1-1/+0
struct cal_camerarx has fmtinfo field which is used to point to the current active input format. The only place where the field is used is cal_camerarx_get_ext_link_freq(). With multiple streams the whole concept of single input format is not valid anymore, so lets remove the field by looking up the format in cal_camerarx_get_ext_link_freq(), making it easier to handle the multistream-case in the following patches. 2021-07-12media: ti-vpe: cal: init ctx->v_fmt correctly in MC modeTomi Valkeinen1-1/+1
CAL driver enumerates mbus codes in the connected subdev to create a list of supported formats reported to userspace, and initializes ctx->v_fmt and ctx->fmtinfo to one of those formats. This works fine for legacy mode, but is not correct for MC mode, and the list is not even used in MC mode. Fix this by adding a new function, cal_ctx_v4l2_init_mc_format, which only initializes ctx->v_fmt and ctx->fmtinfo to a default value. 2021-07-12media: ti-vpe: cal: Add CSI2 contextTomi Valkeinen1-0/+1
CAL has 8 CSI2 contexts per PHY, which are used to tag the incoming data. The current driver only uses the first context, but we need to support all of them to implement multi-stream support. Add a csi2_ctx field to cal_ctx, which indicates which of the 8 CSI2 contexts is used for the particular cal_ctx. Also clean up the context register macros to take the CSI2 context number as a parameter. Note that before this patch the CSI2 context used for both PHYs was always 0. This patch always uses cal_ctx index number as the CSI2 context. There is no functional difference, but this approach will work also in the future when we use more than 1 CSI2 context per PHY. The cal_dmaqueue structure only contains the list of queued buffers. Move the other fields that are logically related to the DMA queue (current and next buffer points, state, wait queue and lock) from cal_ctx to cal_dmaqueue. Take this as an opportunity to document the fields usage and to give them more appropriate names. The 'active' field stored the list of all queued buffers, not the active buffers, so rename it to 'queue'. The 'cur_frm' and 'next_frm' are respectively renamed to 'active' and 'pending' to better explain their purpose. The 'dma_state' and 'dma_wait' fields are stripped of their 'dma_' prefix as they're now part of cal_dmaqueue. Finally, 'slock' is renamed to 'lock'. 2021-01-04media: ti-vpe: cal: Stop write DMA without disabling PPILaurent Pinchart1-2/+12
When stopping the stream, the driver needs to ensure that ongoing DMA completes and that no new DMA is started. It does so using a feature of the PPI that can be stopped on a frame boundary. The downside of this mechanism is that the DMA can't be stopped independently of the source, which prevents usage of multiple contexts for the same source (to handle CSI-2 virtual channels or data types). Rework the stream stop mechanism to stop the write DMA without disabling the PPI first. The new mechanism relies on the combination of a state machine in the driver and shadowing of the CAL_WR_DMA_CTRL_j.MODE field in the hardware. When a stop is requested, the DMA start interrupt handler will request the hardware to stop at the end of the current frame by disabling the write DMA context in the shadowed register, and flag that a stop is in progress. The next DMA end interrupt will then report that the stop is complete. This makes it possible to stop the PPI after stopping the DMA, and fold the cal_camerarx_ppi_disable() call into cal_camerarx_stop(). 2021-01-04media: ti-vpe: cal: Refactor interrupt enable/disableLaurent Pinchart1-2/+2
Interrupts are enabled and disabled by the cal_camerarx_enable_irqs() and cal_camerarx_disable_irqs(). Despite their name, they deal with all interrupts, not just the CAMERARX interrupts, and they hardcode the assumption that the context index is identical to the CAMERARX index. Split the context-related interrupt management to two new functions, cal_ctx_enable_irqs() and cal_ctx_disable_irqs(), called from the cal_start_streaming() and cal_stop_streaming() functions. The explicit calls to cal_camerarx_enable_irqs() and cal_camerarx_disable_irqs() are folded with the CAMERARX .s_stream() operation to simplify the CAMERARX API. Enabling the OCPO error interrupt is moved to the PM runtime resume operation, as it's global to the device, not related to a CAMERARX or context. The VC IRQ enable and disable are removed as they're not used, the parent interrupt bit (CAL_HL_IRQ_VC_MASK) never being set. To prepare for the split of the camerarx code to a separate file, move the CAL I/O accessors to cal.h. This requires renaming the accessors with a cal_prefix, as the current names are too generic and prone to namespace clashes. The reg_read() and read_write() macros, that cover both CAL and CAMERARX register access, are split in two groups of inline functions, one for CAL access and one for CAMERARX access.
