2015-10-20[media] media: videobuf2: Change queue_setup argumentJunghak Sung1-1/+1
Replace struct v4l2_format * with void * to make queue_setup() for common use. And then, modify all device drivers related with this change. 2015-10-01[media] media: videobuf2: Restructure vb2_bufferJunghak Sung1-11/+14
Remove v4l2 stuff - v4l2_buf, v4l2_plane - from struct vb2_buffer. Add new member variables - bytesused, length, offset, userptr, fd, data_offset - to struct vb2_plane in order to cover all information of v4l2_plane. struct vb2_plane { <snip> unsigned int bytesused; unsigned int length; union { unsigned int offset; unsigned long userptr; int fd; } m; unsigned int data_offset; } Replace v4l2_buf with new member variables - index, type, memory - which are common fields for buffer management. struct vb2_buffer { <snip> unsigned int index; unsigned int type; unsigned int memory; unsigned int num_planes; struct vb2_plane planes[VIDEO_MAX_PLANES]; <snip> }; v4l2 specific fields - flags, field, timestamp, timecode, sequence - are moved to vb2_v4l2_buffer in videobuf2-v4l2.c struct vb2_v4l2_buffer { struct vb2_buffer vb2_buf; __u32 flags; __u32 field; struct timeval timestamp; struct v4l2_timecode timecode; __u32 sequence; }; Signed-off-by: Junghak Sung <jh1009.sung@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Geunyoung Kim <nenggun.kim@samsung.com> Acked-by: Seung-Woo Kim <sw0312.kim@samsung.com> Acked-by: Inki Dae <inki.dae@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Hans Verkuil <hans.verkuil@cisco.com> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@osg.samsung.com>
2015-08-16[media] v4l: omap3isp: Drop platform data supportLaurent Pinchart1-6/+3

2015-04-02[media] omap3isp: Platform data could be NULLSakari Ailus1-3/+3
Only check for call platform data callback functions if there's platform data. Also take care of a few other cases where the NULL pdata pointer could have been accessed, and remove the check for NULL dev->platform_data pointer. Removing the check for NULL dev->platform_data isn't strictly needed by the DT support but there's no harm from that either: the device now can be used without sensors, for instance. 2015-04-02[media] media: omap3isp: video: Don't call vb2 mmap with queue lock heldLaurent Pinchart1-7/+1
videobuf2 has long been subject to AB-BA style deadlocks due to the queue lock and mmap_sem being taken in different orders for the mmap operation. The problem has been fixed by making this operation callable without taking the queue lock, using an mmap_lock internal to videobuf2. The omap3isp driver still calls the mmap operation with the queue lock held, resulting in a potential deadlock. As the operation can now be called without locking the queue, fix it. 2015-01-22[media] omap3isp: Correctly set QUERYCAP capabilitiesSakari Ailus1-2/+5
device_caps in struct v4l2_capability were inadequately set in VIDIOC_QUERYCAP. Fix this. Without this a WARN_ON in the v4l2 core is triggered. This WARN_ON was added for kernel 3.19 exactly to detect these situations. 2014-05-25[media] omap3isp: Cancel all queued buffers when stopping the video streamLaurent Pinchart1-0/+2
When stopping a video stream the driver waits for ongoing DMA opeations to complete for the currently active buffer, but doesn't release the non-active queued buffers. This isn't a problem in most cases as the video device is usually closed after the stream is stopped, which will release all the buffers. However the problem would generate a warning when switching to videobuf2. Fix it by cancelling all buffers after DMA operations have completed. 2014-05-25[media] omap3isp: video: Set the buffer bytesused field at completion timeLaurent Pinchart1-1/+4
The v4l buffer bytesused field is a value that will be returned to userspace when the buffer gets dequeued. As such it doesn't need to be set early at buffer queue time. Move the assignment to buffer completion in the omap3isp_video_buffer_next() function to prepare for the video buffers queue refactoring. 2014-02-24[media] omap3isp: Don't try to locate external subdev for mem-to-mem pipelinesLaurent Pinchart1-0/+4
Memory-to-memory pipelines have no external subdev, we shouldn't try to locate one and validate its configuration. The driver currently works by chance due to another bug that results in failure to locate the external subdev being ignored. This gets rid of the "omap3isp omap3isp: can't find source, failing now" error message in the kernel log when operating on a memory-to-memory pipeline. 2014-01-07[media] omap3isp: Cancel streaming when a fatal error occursLaurent Pinchart1-0/+46
When a fatal error that prevents any further video streaming occurs in a pipeline, all queued buffers must be marked as erroneous and new buffers must be prevented from being queued. Implement this behaviour with a new omap3isp_pipeline_cancel_stream() function that can be used by submodules to cancel streaming. 2012-11-20ARM: OMAP2+: Move plat/iovmm.h to include/linux/omap-iommu.hTony Lindgren1-1/+1
Looks like the iommu framework does not have generic functions exported for all the needs yet. The hardware specific functions are defined in files like intel-iommu.h and amd-iommu.h. Follow the same standard for omap-iommu.h. This is needed because we are removing plat and mach includes for ARM common zImage support. Further work should continue in the iommu framework context as only pure platform data will be communicated from arch/arm/*omap*/* code to the iommu framework. 2012-11-01ARM: OMAP: Move omap-pm-noop.c local to mach-omap2Tony Lindgren1-1/+0
This code should be private to mach-omap2. The only use for it in for omap1 has been in dmtimer.c to check for context loss. However, omap1 does not lose context during idle, so the code is not needed. Further, omap1 timer has OMAP_TIMER_ALWON set, so omap1 was not hitting omap_pm_get_dev_context_loss_count() test. The remaining drivers are mostly platform drivers. Name the dir to reflect it. It makes sense to latter break it into a few other dirs. Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@redhat.com>
