2023-01-10Input: max8925_onkey - switch to DEFINE_SIMPLE_DEV_PM_OPS() and pm_sleep_ptr()Jonathan Cameron1-4/+5
SIMPLE_DEV_PM_OPS() is deprecated as it requires explicit protection against unused function warnings. The new combination of pm_sleep_ptr() and DEFINE_SIMPLE_DEV_PM_OPS() allows the compiler to see the functions, thus suppressing the warning, but still allowing the unused code to be removed. Thus also drop the __maybe_unused markings. 2019-08-14Input: remove dev_err() usage after platform_get_irq()Stephen Boyd1-6/+2
We don't need dev_err() messages when platform_get_irq() fails now that platform_get_irq() prints an error message itself when something goes wrong. Let's remove these prints with a simple semantic patch. // <smpl> @@ expression ret; struct platform_device *E; @@ ret = ( platform_get_irq(E, ...) | platform_get_irq_byname(E, ...) ); if ( \( ret < 0 \| ret <= 0 \) ) { ( -if (ret != -EPROBE_DEFER) -{ ... -dev_err(...); -... } | ... -dev_err(...); ) ... } // </smpl> While we're here, remove braces on if statements that only have one statement (manually). 2012-03-06Input: max8925_onkey - avoid accessing input device too earlyDmitry Torokhov1-47/+44
Input device must be allocated (but not necessarily registered) before requesting IRQs, otherwise there is a chance that IRQ handler fires and tries to reference not yet allocated input device. Also it makes sense to store relative IRQ numbers in max8925_onkey_info structure as they are needed in suspend/resume which we expect to be called more often than probe and remove.
