2006-12-10i2c: Discard the i2c algo del_bus wrappersJean Delvare1-1/+1
They are all only calling i2c_del_adapter, so we may as well do it directly. Signed-off-by: Jean Delvare <khali@linux-fr.org>
2006-11-23[PATCH] Fix i2c-ixp4xx compile (missing brace)Jean Delvare1-1/+1
Fix recent i2c-ixp4xx compilation breakage. Sorry for overlooking it. Signed-off-by: Jean Delvare <khali@linux-fr.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>

2006-09-27i2c-algo-bit: Discard the mdelay data struct memberJean Delvare1-1/+0
i2c-algo-bit: Discard the mdelay data struct member The i2c_algo_bit_data structure has an mdelay member, which is not used by the algorithm code (the code has always been ifdef'd out.) Let's discard it to save some code and memory. 2005-11-10[DRIVER MODEL] Convert platform drivers to use struct platform_driverRussell King1-13/+12
This allows us to eliminate the casts in the drivers, and eventually remove the use of the device_driver function pointer methods for platform device drivers. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk> Acked-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>
2005-10-29Create platform_device.h to contain all the platform device details.Russell King1-1/+1
Convert everyone who uses platform_bus_type to include linux/platform_device.h. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk> Acked-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>
2005-10-29[PATCH] i2c: kzalloc conversion, ixp bus driversDeepak Saxena1-2/+1
Use kzalloc instead of kmalloc+memzero in the ixp2000 and ixp4xx I2C bus drivers. Signed-off-by: Deepak Saxena <dsaxena@mvista.com> Signed-off-by: Jean Delvare <khali@linux-fr.org> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>

2005-10-29[PATCH] i2c: Add missing i2c-ixp2000/4xx adapter nameJean Delvare1-0/+4
The ixp4xx and ixp2000 i2c bus drivers omit to fill the required i2c_adapter name field. Copy the device driver name field there. Signed-off-by: Jean Delvare <khali@linux-fr.org> Signed-off-by: Deepak Saxena <dsaxena@plexity.net> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>
2005-06-22[PATCH] I2C: #include <linux/config.h> cleanupJean Delvare1-5/+0
Hi Alexey, > Files that don't use CONFIG_* stuff shouldn't include config.h > Files that use CONFIG_* stuff should include config.h > > It's that simple. ;-) I agree. This won't change anything though, as all drivers include either device.h or module.h, which in turn include config.h. But you are still correct, so I approve your patch. For completeness, I would propose the following on top of your own patch: i2c bus drivers do not need to define DEBUG themselves, as the Kconfig system takes care of it. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
