2023-12-20HID: glorious: fix Glorious Model I HID reportBrett Raye1-4/+7
[ Upstream commit a5e913c25b6b2b6ae02acef6d9400645ac03dfdf ] The Glorious Model I mouse has a buggy HID report descriptor for its keyboard endpoint (used for programmable buttons). For report ID 2, there is a mismatch between Logical Minimum and Usage Minimum in the array that reports keycodes. The offending portion of the descriptor: (from hid-decode) 0x95, 0x05, // Report Count (5) 30 0x75, 0x08, // Report Size (8) 32 0x15, 0x00, // Logical Minimum (0) 34 0x25, 0x65, // Logical Maximum (101) 36 0x05, 0x07, // Usage Page (Keyboard) 38 0x19, 0x01, // Usage Minimum (1) 40 0x29, 0x65, // Usage Maximum (101) 42 0x81, 0x00, // Input (Data,Arr,Abs) 44 This bug shifts all programmed keycodes up by 1. Importantly, this causes "empty" array indexes of 0x00 to be interpreted as 0x01, ErrorRollOver. The presence of ErrorRollOver causes the system to ignore all keypresses from the endpoint and breaks the ability to use the programmable buttons. Setting byte 41 to 0x00 fixes this, and causes keycodes to be interpreted correctly. Also, USB_VENDOR_ID_GLORIOUS is changed to USB_VENDOR_ID_SINOWEALTH, and a new ID for Laview Technology is added. Glorious seems to be white-labeling controller boards or mice from these vendors. There isn't a single canonical vendor ID for Glorious products. 2023-08-26HID: add quirk for 03f0:464a HP Elite Presenter MouseMarco Morandini1-0/+1
[ Upstream commit 0db117359e47750d8bd310d19f13e1c4ef7fc26a ] HP Elite Presenter Mouse HID Record Descriptor shows two mouses (Repord ID 0x1 and 0x2), one keypad (Report ID 0x5), two Consumer Controls (Report IDs 0x6 and 0x3). Previous to this commit it registers one mouse, one keypad and one Consumer Control, and it was usable only as a digitl laser pointer (one of the two mouses). This patch defines the 464a USB device ID and enables the HID_QUIRK_MULTI_INPUT quirk for it, allowing to use the device both as a mouse and a digital laser pointer. 2023-01-14HID: plantronics: Additional PIDs for double volume key presses quirkTerry Junge1-0/+3
[ Upstream commit 3d57f36c89d8ba32b2c312f397a37fd1a2dc7cfc ] I no longer work for Plantronics (aka Poly, aka HP) and do not have access to the headsets in order to test. However, as noted by Maxim, the other 32xx models that share the same base code set as the 3220 would need the same quirk. This patch adds the PIDs for the rest of the Blackwire 32XX product family that require the quirk. Plantronics Blackwire 3210 Series (047f:c055) Plantronics Blackwire 3215 Series (047f:c057) Plantronics Blackwire 3225 Series (047f:c058) Quote from previous patch by Maxim Mikityanskiy Plantronics Blackwire 3220 Series (047f:c056) sends HID reports twice for each volume key press. This patch adds a quirk to hid-plantronics for this product ID, which will ignore the second volume key press if it happens within 5 ms from the last one that was handled. The patch was tested on the mentioned model only, it shouldn't affect other models, however, this quirk might be needed for them too. Auto-repeat (when a key is held pressed) is not affected, because the rate is about 3 times per second, which is far less frequent than once in 5 ms. 2022-12-21HID: ite: Enable QUIRK_TOUCHPAD_ON_OFF_REPORT on Acer Aspire Switch V 10Hans de Goede1-0/+1
[ Upstream commit 9ad6645a9dce4d0e42daca6ebf32a154401c59d3 ] The Acer Aspire Switch V 10 (SW5-017)'s keyboard-dock uses the same ITE controller setup as other Acer Switch 2-in-1's. This needs special handling for the wifi on/off toggle hotkey as well as to properly report touchpad on/off keypresses. Add the USB-ids for the SW5-017's keyboard-dock with a quirk setting of QUIRK_TOUCHPAD_ON_OFF_REPORT to fix both issues. [ Upstream commit c961facb5b19634eee5bcdd91fc5bf3f1c545bc5 ] Make the hid-ite driver handle the Acer S1002 keyboard-dock, this leads to 2 improvements: 1. The non working wifi-toggle hotkey now works. 2. Toggling the touchpad on of with the hotkey will no show OSD notifications in e.g. GNOME3. 2021-12-14HID: quirks: Add quirk for the Microsoft Surface 3 type-coverHans de Goede1-0/+1
commit 9003fbe0f3674b972f56fa7e6bf3ac9dbfc4d0ec upstream. Add a HID_QUIRK_NO_INIT_REPORTS quirk for the Microsoft Surface 3 (non pro) type-cover. Trying to init the reports seems to confuse the type-cover and causes 2 issues: 1. Despite hid-multitouch sending the command to switch the touchpad to multitouch mode, it keeps sending events on the mouse emulation interface. 2. The touchpad completely stops sending events after a reboot. Adding the HID_QUIRK_NO_INIT_REPORTS quirk fixes both issues. 2020-10-23HID: cypress: Support Varmilo Keyboards' media hotkeysFrank Yang1-0/+2
The Varmilo VA104M Keyboard (04b4:07b1, reported as Varmilo Z104M) exposes media control hotkeys as a USB HID consumer control device, but these keys do not work in the current (5.8-rc1) kernel due to the incorrect HID report descriptor. Fix the problem by modifying the internal HID report descriptor. More specifically, the keyboard report descriptor specifies the logical boundary as 572~10754 (0x023c ~ 0x2a02) while the usage boundary is specified as 0~10754 (0x00 ~ 0x2a02). This results in an incorrect interpretation of input reports, causing inputs to be ignored. By setting the Logical Minimum to zero, we align the logical boundary with the Usage ID boundary. Some notes: * There seem to be multiple variants of the VA104M keyboard. This patch specifically targets 04b4:07b1 variant. * The device works out-of-the-box on Windows platform with the generic consumer control device driver (hidserv.inf). This suggests that Windows either ignores the Logical Minimum/Logical Maximum or interprets the Usage ID assignment differently from the linux implementation; Maybe there are other devices out there that only works on Windows due to this problem? 2020-09-09HID: ite: Add USB id match for Acer One S1003 keyboard dockHans de Goede1-0/+1
The Acer One S1003 2-in-1 keyboard dock uses a Synaptics S910xx touchpad which is connected to an ITE 8910 USB keyboard controller chip. This keyboard has the same quirk for its rfkill / airplane mode hotkey as other keyboards with ITE keyboard chips, it only sends a single release event when pressed and released, it never sends a press event. This commit adds this keyboards USB id to the hid-ite id-table, fixing the rfkill key not working on this keyboard. Note that like for the Acer Aspire Switch 10 (SW5-012) the id-table entry matches on the HID_GROUP_GENERIC generic group so that hid-ite only binds to the keyboard interface and the mouse/touchpad interface is left untouched so that hid-multitouch can bind to it. When operating in XInput mode, the 8bitdo SN30 Pro+ requires the same quirk as the official Xbox One Bluetooth controllers for rumble to function. 2020-08-31HID: quirks: Set INCREMENT_USAGE_ON_DUPLICATE for all Saitek X52 devicesNirenjan Krishnan1-0/+2
The Saitek X52 family of joysticks has a pair of axes that were originally (by the Windows driver) used as mouse pointer controls. The corresponding usage page is the Game Controls page, which is not recognized by the generic HID driver, and therefore, both axes get mapped to ABS_MISC. The quirk makes the second axis get mapped to ABS_MISC+1, and therefore made available separately. One Saitek X52 device is already fixed. This patch fixes the other two known devices with VID/PID 06a3:0255 and 06a3:0762. Signed-off-by: Nirenjan Krishnan <nirenjan@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Jiri Kosina <jkosina@suse.cz>

The PixArt OEM mice are known for disconnecting every minute in runlevel 1 or 3 if they are not always polled. One Lenovo PixArt mouse is already fixed. Got two references for 17ef:602e and three references for 17ef:6019 misbehaving like this. Got one direct bug report for 17ef:6093 from Wyatt Ward (wyatt8740). The Obins Anne Pro 2 keyboard (04d9:a293) disconnects after a few minutes of inactivity when using it wired and typing does not result in any input events any more. This is a common firmware flaw. So add the ALWAYS_POLL quirk for this device. The Logitech G11 keyboard is a cheap variant of the G15 without the LCD screen.
