A remove callback that just returns 0 is equivalent to no callback at all
as can be seen in i2c_device_remove(). So simplify accordingly.

[ Upstream commit 337b1b566db087347194e4543ddfdfa5645275cc ]
BAR resize operation is implemented in the pci_resize_resource() and
pbus_reassign_bridge_resources() functions. pci_resize_resource() can be
called either from __resource_resize_store() from sysfs or directly by the
driver for the Endpoint Device.
The pci_resize_resource() requires that caller has released the device
resources that share the bridge window with the BAR to be resized as
otherwise the bridge window is pinned in place and cannot be changed.
pbus_reassign_bridge_resources() rolls back resources if the resize
operation fails, but rollback is performed only for the bridge windows.
Because releasing the device resources are done by the caller of the BAR
resize interface, these functions performing the BAR resize do not have
access to the device resources as they were before the resize.
pbus_reassign_bridge_resources() could try __pci_bridge_assign_resources()
after rolling back the bridge windows as they were, however, it will not
guarantee the resource are assigned due to differences in how FW and the
kernel assign the resources (alignment of the start address and tail).
To perform rollback robustly, the BAR resize interface has to be altered to
also release the device resources that share the bridge window with the BAR
to be resized.
Also, remove restoring from the entries failed list as saved list should
now contain both the bridge windows and device resources so the extra
restore is duplicated work.
Some drivers (currently only amdgpu) want to prevent releasing some
resources. Add exclude_bars param to pci_resize_resource() and make amdgpu
pass its register BAR (BAR 2 or 5), which should never be released during
resize operation. Normally 64-bit prefetchable resources do not share a
bridge window with the 32-bit only register BAR, but there are various
fallbacks in the resource assignment logic which may make the resources
share the bridge window in rare cases.
This change (together with the driver side changes) is to counter the
resource releases that had to be done to prevent resource tree corruption
in the ("PCI: Release assigned resource before restoring them") change. As
such, it likely restores functionality in cases where device resources were
released to avoid resource tree conflicts which appeared to be "working"
when such conflicts were not correctly detected by the kernel.

commit e75717f9aec04355777be41070890c6a815c76df upstream.
After device_initialize(), the embedded struct device in struct
host1x_device should be released through the device core with
put_device().
In host1x_device_add(), if host1x_device_parse_dt() fails, the current
error path frees the object directly with kfree(device). That bypasses
the normal device lifetime handling and leaks the reference held on the
embedded struct device.
The issue was identified by a static analysis tool I developed and
confirmed by manual review.
Fix this by using put_device() in the host1x_device_parse_dt() failure
path.

drm_parse_tiled_block() casts the DisplayID block to a
struct displayid_tiled_block and reads the full fixed layout up to
tile->topology_id[7] without checking block->num_bytes. The DisplayID
iterator only validates the declared payload length, so a crafted EDID
can advertise a tiled-display block (tag DATA_BLOCK_TILED_DISPLAY, or
DATA_BLOCK_2_TILED_DISPLAY_TOPOLOGY for v2.0) with a small num_bytes at
the end of a DisplayID extension. The read then runs past the end of the
exact-sized kmemdup()'d EDID allocation, a heap out-of-bounds read.
Reject blocks shorter than the spec's 22-byte tiled payload before
reading the fixed struct, as drm_parse_vesa_mso_data() already does.

radeon_ring_restore() takes ownership of the data buffer allocated by
radeon_ring_backup(). The caller (radeon_gpu_reset()) only frees it in
the non-restore branch; in the restore branch it relies on
radeon_ring_restore() to free it.
If radeon_ring_lock() fails, the function returned early without calling
kvfree(data), leaking the ring backup buffer on every GPU reset that
fails at the lock stage. During repeated GPU resets this causes
cumulative kernel memory exhaustion.

[Why & How]
dal_vector_reserve() computes the allocation size as
"capacity * vector->struct_size" using uint32_t arithmetic, which can
silently wrap to a small value on overflow. This would cause krealloc to
return a smaller buffer than expected, leading to heap overflows on
subsequent vector appends.
Replace krealloc() with krealloc_array() which performs an internal
overflow check and returns NULL on wrap, preventing the issue.

[Why & How]
All record-chain walk loops in bios_parser.c and bios_parser2.c use
for(;;) and only terminate on a 0xFF record_type sentinel or zero
record_size. A malformed VBIOS image missing the terminator record
causes unbounded iteration at probe time, potentially hundreds of
thousands of iterations with record_size=1. In the final iterations
near the BIOS image boundary, struct casts beyond the 2-byte header
validated by GET_IMAGE can also read out of bounds.
Cap all 14 record-chain walk loops to BIOS_MAX_NUM_RECORD (256)
iterations. The atombios.h defines up to 22 distinct record types
and atomfirmware.h has 13. Assuming an average of less than 10
records per type (which is reasonable since most are connector-
based) 256 is a generous upper bound.

commit adf67034b1f61f7119295208085bfd43f85f56af upstream.
[Why & How]
dp_sdp_message_debugfs_write() dereferences connector->base.state->crtc
without checking for NULL. A connector can be connected but not bound to
any CRTC (e.g. after hot-plug before the next atomic commit), causing a
kernel crash when writing to the sdp_message debugfs node.
The function also ignores the user-provided size argument and always
passes 36 bytes to copy_from_user(), reading past the user buffer when
size < 36.
Fix both issues by:
- Returning -ENODEV when connector->base.state or state->crtc is NULL

commit f0f3981c43b32cadfe373d636d9e9ca522bb3702 upstream.
[Why & How]
During HDCP 2.x repeater authentication over HDMI, the driver reads the
sink's RxStatus register and extracts a 10-bit message size field (max
value 1023). This value is used as the read length for the ReceiverID
list without being clamped to the size of the destination buffer
rx_id_list[177]. A malicious HDMI repeater could advertise a message
size larger than the buffer, causing an out-of-bounds write during the
I2C read.
Clamp the read length in mod_hdcp_read_rx_id_list() to the size of the
rx_id_list buffer, matching the approach already used in the DP branch.

gpio_bitshift is a uint8_t read directly from the VBIOS GPIO pin table.
If the value is >= 32, the expression "1 << gpio_bitshift" triggers
undefined behaviour in C (shift count exceeds type width). On x86 the

commit cd86529ec61474a38c3837fb7823790a7c3f8cce upstream.
[Why&How]
The bounds check in bios_get_image() computes 'offset + size' using
unsigned 32-bit arithmetic before comparing against bios_size. If a
VBIOS image contains a near-UINT32_MAX offset the addition wraps to a
small value, the comparison passes, and the function returns a wild
pointer past the VBIOS mapping.
Additionally, the comparison uses '<' (strict), which incorrectly
rejects the valid exact-fit case where offset + size == bios_size.
Fix both issues by restructuring the check to avoid the addition
entirely: first reject if offset alone exceeds bios_size, then check
size against the remaining space (bios_size - offset). This eliminates
the overflow and correctly permits exact-fit accesses.

dma_resv_wait_timeout()
commit 459d75523b71c0ec254d153d8850d0b7008af396 upstream.
dma_resv_wait_timeout() returns a positive 'remaining jiffies' value
on success, 0 on timeout, and -errno on failure.
panfrost_ioctl_wait_bo() returns this 'long' result from an int-typed
ioctl handler, so positive values reach userspace as bogus errors.
Explicitly set ret to 0 on the success path.

[ Upstream commit fe2b84f9228e2a0903221a4d0d8c350b018e9c0c ]
This commit fixes amdgpu to work on the Radeon HD 7870 XT
which has never worked with the Linux open source drivers before.
Some boards have "harvested" chips, meaning that some parts of
the chip are disabled and fused, and it's sold for cheaper and
under a different marketing name.
On a harvested chip, any of the following can be disabled:
- CUs (Compute Units)
- RBs (Render Backend, aka. ROP)
- Memory channels (ie. the chip has a lower bandwidth)
- TCCs (ie. less L2 cache)
Handle chips with harvested TCCs by patching the registers
that configure how TCCs are mapped.
If some TCCs are disabled, we need to make sure that
the disabled TCCs are not used, and the remaining TCCs
are used optimally.
TCP_CHAN_STEER_LO/HI control which TCC is used by TCP channels.
TCP_ADDR_CONFIG.NUM_TCC_BANKS controls how many channels are used.
Note that the TCC configuration is highly relevant to performance.
Suboptimal configuration (eg. CHAN_STEER=0) can significantly
reduce gaming performance.
For optimal performance:
- Rely on the CHAN_STEER from the golden registers table,
only skip disabled TCCs but keep the mapping order.
- Limit NUM_TCC_BANKS to number of active TCCs to avoid thrashing,
which performs better than using the same TCC twice.
v2:
- Also consider CGTS_USER_TCC_DISABLE for disabled TCCs.

There are two known cases where MCLK DPM can causes issues:
Radeon R9 M380 found in iMac computers from 2015.
The SMU in this GPU just hangs as soon as we send it the
PPSMC_MSG_MCLKDPM_Enable command, even when MCLK switching is
disabled, and even when we only populate one MCLK DPM level.
Apply workaround to all devices with the same subsystem ID.
Radeon R7 260X due to old memory controller microcode.
We only flash the MC ucode when it isn't set up by the VBIOS,
therefore there is no way to make sure that it has the correct
ucode version.
I verified that this patch fixes the SMU hang on the R9 M380
which would previously fail to boot. This also fixes the UVD
initialization error on that GPU which happened because the
SMU couldn't ungate the UVD after it hung.

The AFBC framebuffer size validation calculates the minimum required
buffer size by adding the AFBC payload size to the framebuffer offset.
This addition is performed without checking for integer overflow.
If the addition oveflows, the size check may incorrectly succed and
allow userspace to provide an undersized drm_gem_object, potentially
leading to out-of-bounds memory access.
Add usage of check_add_overflow() to safely compute the minimum
required size and reject the framebuffer if an overflow is detected.
This makes the AFBC size validation more robust against malformed.

commit 78d2e624fa073c14970aa097adcf3ea31c157a66 upstream.
sdma_v4_0_ring_emit_fence() contains two BUG_ON(addr & 0x3) assertions
that verify fence writeback addresses are dword-aligned. These
assertions can be reached from unprivileged userspace via crafted
DRM_IOCTL_AMDGPU_CS submissions, causing a fatal kernel panic in a
scheduler worker thread.
Replace both BUG_ON() calls with WARN_ON() to log the condition without
crashing the kernel. A misaligned fence address at this point indicates
a driver bug, but crashing the kernel is never the correct response when
the assertion is reachable from userspace.
The CS IOCTL path is the correct place to filter invalid submissions;
the ring emission callback is too late to do anything about it.

drm_gem_fb_init_with_funcs()
commit 3d4c2268bd7243c3780fe32bf24ff876da272acf upstream.
drm_gem_fb_init_with_funcs() computes sub-sampled plane dimensions
using plain integer division:
unsigned int width = mode_cmd->width / (i ? info->hsub : 1);
unsigned int height = mode_cmd->height / (i ? info->vsub : 1);
However, the ioctl-level framebuffer_check() in drm_framebuffer.c uses
drm_format_info_plane_width/height() which round up dimensions via
DIV_ROUND_UP(). This inconsistency corrupts the subsequent GEM object
size check for certain pixel format and dimension combinations.
For example, with NV12 (vsub=2) and a 1-pixel-tall framebuffer the
GEM size validation path sees height=0 instead of height=1. The
expression (height - 1) then wraps to UINT_MAX as an unsigned int,
causing min_size to overflow and wrap back to a small value. A tiny
GEM object therefore passes the size guard, yet when the GPU accesses
the chroma plane it will read or write memory beyond the object's
bounds.
Fix by replacing the open-coded divisions with drm_format_info_plane_width()
and drm_format_info_plane_height(), which use DIV_ROUND_UP() and match
the calculation already used in framebuffer_check().

commit 095a8b0ad3c3b5cdc3850d961adb8a8f735220bb upstream.
RDNA4 (GFX 12) hardware removes the GDS, GWS, and OA on-chip memory
resources. The gfx_v12_0 initialisation code correctly leaves
adev->gds.gds_size, adev->gds.gws_size, and adev->gds.oa_size at
zero to reflect this.
amdgpu_ttm_init() unconditionally calls amdgpu_ttm_init_on_chip() for
each of these resources regardless of size. When the size is zero,
amdgpu_ttm_init_on_chip() forwards the call to ttm_range_man_init(),
which calls drm_mm_init(mm, 0, 0). drm_mm_init() immediately fires
DRM_MM_BUG_ON(start + size <= start) -- trivially true when size is
zero -- crashing the kernel during modprobe of amdgpu on an RX 9070 XT.
Guard against this by returning 0 early from
amdgpu_ttm_init_on_chip() when size_in_page is zero. This skips TTM
resource manager registration for hardware resources that are absent,
without affecting any other GPU type.
DRM_MM_BUG_ON() only asserts if CONFIG_DRM_DEBUG_MM is enabled in
the kernel config. This is apparently rarely enabled as these chips
have been in the market for over a year and this issue was only reported
now.

This patch is for linux-5.10.y only. It is functionally equivalent to
upstream commit 7db038d9790e ("drm/amd/display: Do not add

[ Upstream commit 4c71fd099513bfa8acab529b626e1f0097b76061 ]
A use-after-free / refcount underflow is possible when the heartbeat
worker and intel_engine_park_heartbeat() race to release the same
engine->heartbeat.systole request.
The heartbeat worker reads engine->heartbeat.systole and calls
i915_request_put() on it when the request is complete, but clears
the pointer in a separate, non-atomic step. Concurrently, a request
retirement on another CPU can drop the engine wakeref to zero, triggering
__engine_park() -> intel_engine_park_heartbeat(). If the heartbeat
timer is pending at that point, cancel_delayed_work() returns true and
intel_engine_park_heartbeat() reads the stale non-NULL systole pointer
and calls i915_request_put() on it again, causing a refcount underflow:

Fix this by replacing the non-atomic pointer read + separate clear with
xchg() in both racing paths. xchg() is a single indivisible hardware
instruction that atomically reads the old pointer and writes NULL. This
guarantees only one of the two concurrent callers obtains the non-NULL
pointer and performs the put, the other gets NULL and skips it.

concurrent DRM_IOCTL_VC4_GEM_MADVISE calls that modify the field under
the same lock. Add the missing locking to prevent the data race.

When vc4_save_hang_state() encounters an early return condition, it
returns without freeing the previously allocated `kernel_state`,
leaking memory.
Add the missing kfree() calls by consolidating the early return paths
into a single place.
