DRM_MODE_BLEND_PIXEL_NONE ignores an alpha channel.
Rcar-du driver supports only 3 formats with an alpha channel
(DRM_FORMAT_ARGB1555, DRM_FORMAT_ARGB8888 and DRM_FORMAT_ARGB4444). We
simply override the format passed to VSP1 for blending with the pixel
format without alpha channel.

R-Car DU driver implicitly supports DRM_MODE_BLEND_COVERAGE only.
This adds a support for DRM_MODE_BLEND_PREMULTI. As a consequence,
DRM_MODE_BLEND_PREMULTI becomes the default. If DRM_MODE_BLEND_COVERAGE
is desired, it should be set explicitly.
This behavior comes from how DRM blend mode is supported.
drm_plane_create_blend_mode_property() creates the blend mode property
with the default value of DRM_MODE_BLEND_PREMULTI. This default value
cannot be modified from the atomic driver.

The field paddr of struct drm_gem_dma_object holds a DMA address, which
might actually be a physical address. However, depending on the platform,
it can also be a bus address or a virtual address managed by an IOMMU.
Hence, rename the field to dma_addr, which is more applicable.
In order to do this renaming the following coccinelle script was used:

Rename "GEM CMA" helpers to "GEM DMA" helpers - considering the
hierarchy of APIs (mm/cma -> dma -> gem dma) calling them "GEM
DMA" seems to be more applicable.
Besides that, commit e57924d4ae80 ("drm/doc: Task to rename CMA helpers")
requests to rename the CMA helpers and implies that people seem to be
confused about the naming.
In order to do this renaming the following script was used:
```
REGEX_SYM_LOWER="[0-9a-z_\-]"
for ff in $(grep -RiHl "cma_obj" $DIRS)
do
sed -i -E "s/cma_obj/dma_obj/g" $ff
```
Only a few more manual modifications were needed, e.g. reverting the
following modifications in some DRM Kconfig files
- select CMA if HAVE_DMA_CONTIGUOUS
+ select DMA if HAVE_DMA_CONTIGUOUS
as well as manually picking the occurrences of 'CMA'/'cma' in comments and
documentation which relate to "GEM CMA", but not "FB CMA".
Also drivers/gpu/drm/Makefile was fixed up manually after renaming
drm_gem_cma_helper.c to drm_gem_dma_helper.c.

bottom of the stack, as the VSP supports arbitrary ordering of planes,
and the KMS API doesn't have such a requirement either. Lift the
restriction.
As the primary plane can now be positioned arbitrarily, enable control
of its alpha channel as well.

The rcar-du KMS driver will call drm_plane_create_zpos_property() with an
init value depending on the plane type.
Since the initial value wasn't carried over in the state, the driver had
to set it again in rcar_du_plane_reset() and rcar_du_vsp_plane_reset().
However, the helpers have been adjusted to set it properly at reset, so
this is not needed anymore.

On R-Car Gen3, the DU uses a separate IP core named VSP to perform DMA
from memory and composition of planes. The DU hardware then only handles
the video timings and the interface with the encoders. This differs from
Gen2, where the DU included a composer with DMA engines.
When sourcing from the VSP, the DU hardware performs no memory access,
and thus has no requirements on imported dma-buf memory types. The GEM
CMA helpers however still create a DMA mapping to the DU device, which
isn't used. The mapping to the VSP is done when processing the atomic
commits, in the plane .prepare_fb() handler.
When the system uses an IOMMU, the VSP device is attached to it, which
enables the VSP to use non physically contiguous memory. The DU, as it
performs no memory access, isn't connected to the IOMMU. The GEM CMA
drm_gem_cma_prime_import_sg_table() helper will in that case fail to map
non-contiguous imported dma-bufs, as the DMA mapping to the DU device
will have multiple entries in its sgtable. The prevents using non
physically contiguous memory for display.
The DRM PRIME and GEM CMA helpers are designed to create the sgtable
when the dma-buf is imported. By default, the device referenced by the
drm_device is used to create the dma-buf attachment. Drivers can use a
different device by using the drm_gem_prime_import_dev() function. While
the DU has access to the VSP device, this won't help here, as different
CRTCs use different VSP instances, connected to different IOMMU
channels. The driver doesn't know at import time which CRTC a GEM object
will be used, and thus can't select the right VSP device to pass to
drm_gem_prime_import_dev().
To support non-contiguous memory, implement a custom
.gem_prime_import_sg_table() operation that accepts all imported dma-buf
regardless of the number of scatterlist entries. The sgtable will be
mapped to the VSP at .prepare_fb() time, which will reject the
framebuffer if the VSP isn't connected to an IOMMU.

The function drm_gem_fb_prepare_fb() is a helper for atomic modesetting,
but currently located next to framebuffer helpers. Move it to GEM atomic

devm_kcalloc() is the wrong API to allocate planes, as the lifetime of
the planes is tied to the DRM device, not the device to driver
binding. drmm_kcalloc() isn't a good option either, as it would result
in the planes being freed before being unregistered during the managed
cleanup of the DRM objects. Use a plain kcalloc(), and cleanup the
planes and free the memory in the existing rcar_du_vsp_cleanup()

The DU driver handles non-visible planes (fully clipped by the display's
boundaries) by considering them as disabled. It thus disables the plane
at the hardware level when the plane is moved off-screen. However, if
the plane was previously disabled and is non-visible when it gets
enabled, the attempt to disable it crashes, as the plane wasn't
previously enabled. Fix it.

The Documentation/DMA-API-HOWTO.txt states that the dma_map_sg() function
returns the number of the created entries in the DMA address space.
However the subsequent calls to the dma_sync_sg_for_{device,cpu}() and
dma_unmap_sg must be called with the original number of the entries
passed to the dma_map_sg().
struct sg_table is a common structure used for describing a non-contiguous
memory buffer, used commonly in the DRM and graphics subsystems. It
consists of a scatterlist with memory pages and DMA addresses (sgl entry),
as well as the number of scatterlist entries: CPU pages (orig_nents entry)
and DMA mapped pages (nents entry).
It turned out that it was a common mistake to misuse nents and orig_nents
entries, calling DMA-mapping functions with a wrong number of entries or
ignoring the number of mapped entries returned by the dma_map_sg()
function.
To avoid such issues, lets use a common dma-mapping wrappers operating
directly on the struct sg_table objects and use scatterlist page
iterators where possible. This, almost always, hides references to the
nents and orig_nents entries, making the code robust, easier to follow
and copy/paste safe.
dma_map_sgtable() function returns zero or an error code, so adjust the
return value check for the vsp1_du_map_sg() function.

Having the probe helper stuff (which pretty much everyone needs) in
the drm_crtc_helper.h file (which atomic drivers should never need) is
confusing. Split them out.
To make sure I actually achieved the goal here I went through all
drivers. And indeed, all atomic drivers are now free of
drm_crtc_helper.h includes.
v2: Make it compile. There was so much compile fail on arm drivers
that I figured I'll better not include any of the acks on v1.
v3: Massive rebase because i915 has lost a lot of drmP.h includes, but
not all: Through drm_crtc_helper.h > drm_modeset_helper.h -> drmP.h
there was still one, which this patch largely removes. Which means
rolling out lots more includes all over.
This will also conflict with ongoing drmP.h cleanup by others I
expect.
v3: Rebase on top of atomic bochs.
v4: Review from Laurent for bridge/rcar/omap/shmob/core bits:
- (re)move some of the added includes, use the better include files in
other places (all suggested from Laurent adopted unchanged).
- sort alphabetically
v5: Actually try to sort them, and while at it, sort all the ones I
touch.
v6: Rebase onto i915 changes.

The DRM kernel API used to be defined in a handful of headers, pulled in
through drmP.h. It has since been split in multiple headers for the
different DRM components, and drmP.h turned into a legacy header that
just pulls in most of the DRM kernel API (and a large number of other
miscellaneous kernel headers).
In order to speed up compilation, replace inclusion of drmP.h with only
the required headers. It turns out that the rcar-du-drm driver already
includes most of the necessary headers, so the change is simple.
While at it, remove unneeded inclusion of other headers, and unneeded

The state structure for VSP-backed planes, rcar_du_vsp_plane_state,
contains sg tables that track framebuffer mapping performed in the
.prepare_fb() operation to unmap them in .cleanup_fb(). The tables are
incorrectly copied when duplicating state, which can result :
Zero-out sg_tables in original plane, effectively introducing move
