2024-01-26drm/radeon/r100: Fix integer overflow issues in r100_cs_track_check()Nikita Zhandarovich1-2/+2
[ Upstream commit b5c5baa458faa5430c445acd9a17481274d77ccf ] It may be possible, albeit unlikely, to encounter integer overflow during the multiplication of several unsigned int variables, the result being assigned to a variable 'size' of wider type. Prevent this potential behaviour by converting one of the multiples to unsigned long. Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with static analysis tool SVACE. [ Upstream commit 39c960bbf9d9ea862398759e75736cfb68c3446f ] While improbable, there may be a chance of hitting integer overflow when the result of radeon_get_ib_value() gets shifted left. 2023-09-19drm/radeon: Use RMW accessors for changing LNKCTLIlpo Järvinen2-53/+20
[ Upstream commit 7189576e8a829130192b33c5b64e8a475369c776 ] Don't assume that only the driver would be accessing LNKCTL. ASPM policy changes can trigger write to LNKCTL outside of driver's control. And in the case of upstream bridge, the driver does not even own the device it's changing the registers for. Use RMW capability accessors which do proper locking to avoid losing concurrent updates to the register value. 2023-07-27drm/radeon: fix possible division-by-zero errorsNikita Zhandarovich3-6/+18
[ Upstream commit 1becc57cd1a905e2aa0e1eca60d2a37744525c4a ] Function rv740_get_decoded_reference_divider() may return 0 due to unpredictable reference divider value calculated in radeon_atom_get_clock_dividers(). This will lead to division-by-zero error once that value is used as a divider in calculating 'clk_s'. While unlikely, this issue should nonetheless be prevented so add a sanity check for such cases by testing 'decoded_ref' value against 0. Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with static analysis tool SVACE. v2: minor coding style fixes (Alex) In practice this should actually happen as the vbios should be properly populated. 2023-07-27radeon: avoid double free in ci_dpm_init()Nikita Zhandarovich1-8/+20
[ Upstream commit 20c3dffdccbd494e0dd631d1660aeecbff6775f2 ] Several calls to ci_dpm_fini() will attempt to free resources that either have been freed before or haven't been allocated yet. This may lead to undefined or dangerous behaviour. For instance, if r600_parse_extended_power_table() fails, it might call r600_free_extended_power_table() as will ci_dpm_fini() later during error handling. Fix this by only freeing pointers to objects previously allocated. Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with static analysis tool SVACE. 2023-03-11drm/radeon: Fix eDP for single-display iMac11,2Mark Hawrylak1-2/+3
commit 05eacc198c68cbb35a7281ce4011f8899ee1cfb8 upstream. Apple iMac11,2 (mid 2010) also with Radeon HD-4670 that has the same issue as iMac10,1 (late 2009) where the internal eDP panel stays dark on driver load. This patch treats iMac11,2 the same as iMac10,1, so the eDP panel stays active. Additional steps: Kernel boot parameter radeon.nomodeset=0 required to keep the eDP panel active. 2022-01-27drm/radeon/radeon_kms: Fix a NULL pointer dereference in ↵Zhou Qingyang1-16/+20
radeon_driver_open_kms() [ Upstream commit ab50cb9df8896b39aae65c537a30de2c79c19735 ] In radeon_driver_open_kms(), radeon_vm_bo_add() is assigned to vm->ib_bo_va and passes and used in radeon_vm_bo_set_addr(). In radeon_vm_bo_set_addr(), there is a dereference of vm->ib_bo_va, which could lead to a NULL pointer dereference on failure of radeon_vm_bo_add(). Fix this bug by adding a check of vm->ib_bo_va. This bug was found by a static analyzer. The analysis employs differential checking to identify inconsistent security operations (e.g., checks or kfrees) between two code paths and confirms that the inconsistent operations are not recovered in the current function or the callers, so they constitute bugs. Note that, as a bug found by static analysis, it can be a false positive or hard to trigger. Multiple researchers have cross-reviewed the bug. Builds with CONFIG_DRM_RADEON=m show no new warnings, and our static analyzer no longer warns about this code. 2021-09-30treewide: Change list_sort to use const pointersSami Tolvanen1-2/+2
[ Upstream commit 4f0f586bf0c898233d8f316f471a21db2abd522d ] list_sort() internally casts the comparison function passed to it to a different type with constant struct list_head pointers, and uses this pointer to call the functions, which trips indirect call Control-Flow Integrity (CFI) checking. Instead of removing the consts, this change defines the list_cmp_func_t type and changes the comparison function types of all list_sort() callers to use const pointers, thus avoiding type mismatches. 2021-07-19drm/radeon: Call radeon_suspend_kms() in radeon_pci_shutdown() for Loongson64Tiezhu Yang1-4/+4
commit c1bfd74bfef77bcefc88d12eaf8996c0dfd51331 upstream. On the Loongson64 platform used with Radeon GPU, shutdown or reboot failed when console=tty is in the boot cmdline. radeon_suspend_kms() puts the hw in the suspend state, especially set fb state as FBINFO_STATE_SUSPENDED: if (fbcon) { console_lock(); radeon_fbdev_set_suspend(rdev, 1); console_unlock(); } Then avoid to do any more fb operations in the related functions: if (p->state != FBINFO_STATE_RUNNING) return; So call radeon_suspend_kms() in radeon_pci_shutdown() for Loongson64 to fix this issue, it looks like some kind of workaround like powerpc. This issue doesn't happen when one monitor is 4K 60Hz (pixelclock 594MHz) and another one is 4K 30Hz (pixelclock 297MHz). The issue is gone after setting "power_dpm_force_performance_level" to "high". Following the indication, we found that the issue occurs when sclk is too low.
