2023-09-13drm/panel: Don't store+check prepared/enabled for simple casesDouglas Anderson1-10/+0
As talked about in commit d2aacaf07395 ("drm/panel: Check for already prepared/enabled in drm_panel"), we want to remove needless code from panel drivers that was storing and double-checking the prepared/enabled state. Even if someone was relying on the double-check before, that double-check is now in the core and not needed in individual drivers. This pile of panel drivers appears to be simple to handle. Based on code inspection they seemed to be using the prepared/enabled state simply for double-checking that nothing else in the kernel called them inconsistently. Now that the core drm_panel is doing the double checking (and warning) it should be very clear that these devices don't need their own double-check. 2023-01-11drm/panel-sharp-ls060t1sx01: Drop custom DSI write macroJavier Martinez Canillas1-17/+2
There is a macro for this already in the <drm/drm_mipi_dsi.h> header, use that instead and delete the custom DSI write macro defined in the driver. 2022-07-09drm/mipi-dsi: Make remove callback return voidUwe Kleine-König1-3/+1
All implementations return 0 and the return value of mipi_dsi_drv_remove() is ignored anyhow. So change the prototype of the remove function to return no value. This way driver authors are not tempted to assume that passing an error to the upper layer is a good idea. All drivers are adapted accordingly. There is no intended change of behaviour. This reverts commit 223cce88a926 ("drm/panel: Add support for Sharp LS060T1SX01 panel"). It was pushed to drm-misc-next by accident. Added my own ack to expedit the revert.
