2019-04-05drm/nouveau: Stop using drm_crtc_force_disableDaniel Vetter1-1/+3
[ Upstream commit 934c5b32a5e43d8de2ab4f1566f91d7c3bf8cb64 ] The correct way for legacy drivers to update properties that need to do a full modeset, is to do a full modeset. Note that we don't need to call the drm_mode_config_internal helper because we're not changing any of the refcounted paramters. v2: Fixup error handling (Ville). Since the old code didn't bother I decided to just delete it instead of adding even more code for just error handling. 2015-12-11drm: Pass 'name' to drm_encoder_init()Ville Syrjälä1-1/+2
Done with coccinelle for the most part. However, it thinks '...' is part of the semantic patch, so I put an 'int DOTDOTDOT' placeholder in its place and got rid of it with sed afterwards. @@ identifier dev, encoder, funcs; @@ int drm_encoder_init(struct drm_device *dev, struct drm_encoder *encoder, const struct drm_encoder_funcs *funcs, int encoder_type + ,const char *name, int DOTDOTDOT ) { ... } @@ identifier dev, encoder, funcs; @@ int drm_encoder_init(struct drm_device *dev, struct drm_encoder *encoder, const struct drm_encoder_funcs *funcs, int encoder_type + ,const char *name, int DOTDOTDOT ); @@ expression E1, E2, E3, E4; @@ drm_encoder_init(E1, E2, E3, E4 + ,NULL ) v2: Add ', or NULL...' to @name kernel doc (Jani) Annotate the function with __printf() attribute (Jani) Signed-off-by: Ville Syrjälä <ville.syrjala@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Daniel Vetter <daniel.vetter@ffwll.ch> Link: http://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/msgid/1449670818-2966-1-git-send-email-ville.syrjala@linux.intel.com
2015-12-08drm: Move encoder->save/restore into nouveauDaniel Vetter1-2/+3
Nouveau is the only user, and atomic drivers should do state save/restoring differently. So move it into noveau. Saves me typing some kerneldoc, too ;-) v2: Move misplaced hunk into earlier nouveau patch. 2015-01-22drm/nouveau: finalise nvkm namespace switch (no binary change)Ben Skeggs1-2/+2
The namespace of NVKM is being changed to nvkm_ instead of nouveau_, which will be used for the DRM part of the driver. This is being done in order to make it very clear as to what part of the driver a given symbol belongs to, and as a minor step towards splitting the DRM driver out to be able to stand on its own (for virt). Because there's already a large amount of churn here anyway, this is as good a time as any to also switch to NVIDIA's device and chipset naming to ease collaboration with them. A comparison of objdump disassemblies proves no code changes. Signed-off-by: Ben Skeggs <bskeggs@redhat.com>
2015-01-22drm/nouveau/nvif: namespace of nvkm accessors (no binary change)Ben Skeggs1-5/+5
NVKM is having it's namespace switched to nvkm_, which will conflict with these functions (which are workarounds for the fact that as of yet, we still aren't able to split DRM and NVKM completely). A comparison of objdump disassemblies proves no code changes. Signed-off-by: Ben Skeggs <bskeggs@redhat.com>

2013-04-26drm/nv04/disp: hide all the cruft away in its own little holeBen Skeggs1-0/+843
It'd be pretty awesome if someone would care enough to port this all properly to a class interface, perhaps submitting a command stream to the core via a sw object on PFIFO (emulating how EVO works basically, and also what nvidia have done forever..).. But, this seems unlikely given how old this hardware is now, so, lets just hide it away. There's a heap of other bits and pieces laying around that are still tangled. I'll (re)move them in pieces.
