We're going to introduce an additional intel_gt for MTL's media unit
soon. Let's provide a bit more multi-GT initialization framework in
preparation for that. The initialization will pull the list of GTs for
a platform from the device info structure. Although necessary for the
immediate MTL media enabling, this same framework will also be used
farther down the road when we enable remote tiles on xehpsdv and pvc.

So far, different views (normal, partial, rotated and remapped)
into the same object are only supported for GGTT mappings.
But with the upcoming VM_BIND feature, PPGTT will also use the
partial view mapping. Hence rename ggtt_view to more generic
gtt_view.

In case of Small BAR configurations stolen local memory can be unmappable.
Since the test does not touch the memory, passing I915_BO_ALLOC_GPU_ONLY
flag to i915_gem_object_create_region, will prevent -ENOSPC error from
_i915_gem_object_stolen_init.

Since drm-next does not have commit f0c70d41e4e8 ("drm/i915/guc: remove
runtime info printing from time stamp logging") yet, only
drm-intel-gt-next, will need to do that as part of the merge here to
build.

On some machines hole_end can be small enough to cause subtraction
overflow. On the other side (addr + 2 * min_alignment) can overflow
in case of mock tests. This patch should handle both cases.

If we encounter some monster sized local-memory page that exceeds the
maximum sg length (UINT32_MAX), ensure that don't end up with some
misaligned address in the entry that follows, leading to fireworks
later. Also ensure we have some coverage of this in the selftests.

The compact-pt layout restrictions should only apply to the ppGTT. Also
make this play nice on platforms that only have the 64K GTT restriction,
and not the compact-pt thing.

Audit all the users of dma_resv_add_excl_fence() and make sure they
reserve a shared slot also when only trying to add an exclusive fence.
This is the next step towards handling the exclusive fence like a
shared one.

On a multi-tile platform, each tile has its own registers + GGTT
space, and BAR 0 is extended to cover all of them.
Up to four GTs are supported in i915->gt[], with slot zero
shadowing the existing i915->gt0 to enable source compatibility
with legacy driver paths. A for_each_gt macro is added to iterate
over the GTs and will be used by upcoming patches that convert
various parts of the driver to be multi-gt aware.
Only the primary/root tile is initialized for now; the other
tiles will be detected and plugged in by future patches once the
necessary infrastructure is in place to handle them.

For the ttm backend we can use existing placements fpfn and lpfn to
force the allocator to place the object at the requested offset,
potentially evicting stuff if the spot is currently occupied.

vms are not getting properly closed. Rather than fixing that,
Remove the vm open count and instead rely on the vm refcount.
The vm open count existed solely to break the strong references the
vmas had on the vms. Now instead make those references weak and
ensure vmas are destroyed when the vm is destroyed.
Unfortunately if the vm destructor and the object destructor both
wants to destroy a vma, that may lead to a race in that the vm
destructor just unbinds the vma and leaves the actual vma destruction
to the object destructor. However in order for the object destructor
to ensure the vma is unbound it needs to grab the vm mutex. In order
to keep the vm mutex alive until the object destructor is done with
it, somewhat hackishly grab a vm_resv refcount that is released late
in the vma destruction process, when the vm mutex is no longer needed.

If we have to contend with non-mappable LMEM, then we need to ensure the
object fits within the mappable portion, like in the selftests, where we
later try to CPU access the pages. However if it can't then we need to
gracefully handle this, without throwing an error.
Also it looks like TTM will return -ENOMEM, in ttm_bo_mem_space() after
exhausting all possible placements.

If the user doesn't require CPU access for the buffer, then
ALLOC_GPU_ONLY should be used, in order to prioritise allocating in the
non-mappable portion of LMEM, on devices with small BAR.

- The BO_ALLOC_TOPDOWN naming here is poor, since this is pure lies on
systems that don't even have small BAR. A better name is GPU_ONLY,
which is accurate regardless of the configuration.

With small LMEM-BAR we need to be able to differentiate between the
total size of LMEM, and how much of it is CPU mappable. The end goal is
to be able to utilize the entire range, even if part of is it not CPU
accessible.

For local-memory objects we need to align the GTT addresses
to 64K, both for the ppgtt and ggtt.
We need to support vm->min_alignment > 4K, depending
on the vm itself and the type of object we are inserting.
With this in mind update the GTT selftests to take this
into account.
For compact-pt we further align and pad lmem object GTT addresses
to 2MB to ensure PDEs contain consistent page sizes as
required by the HW.

On i915_selftest@live@gt_timelines, we create many contexts in loop and
create and submit request and then destoy contexts. Destroying the context
needs to disable scheduling, wait for G2H, deregister context and wait
for G2H to destroy each context. Idling of the gt has to wait for all
this to complete which is taking ~3sec for this test.
Hence we are increasing the igt_flush_test's timeout for gt idling to
3Sec.

commit c50df701d49e ("drm/i915: Enable rpm wakeref tracking
whether runtime pm is enabled or not") enabled wakeref tracking
even for the mock device. Turns out that has somewhat significant
overhead, and on the glacial Core m3's we have in CI the vma
selftests are now exceeding the allotted time budget.
So let's disable the wakeref tracking once again for the mock
device in order to avoid blowing up the selftest runtime.

Add a cancel request selftest that results in an engine reset to cancel
the request as it is non-preemptable. Also insert a NOP request after
the cancelled request and confirm that it completes successfully.

i915_vma_unbind, v2.
We want to remove more members of i915_vma, which requires the locking to
be held more often.
Start requiring gem object lock for i915_vma_unbind, as it's one of the
callers that may unpin pages.
Some special care is needed when evicting, because the last reference to
the object may be held by the VMA, so after __i915_vma_unbind, vma may be
garbage, and we need to cache vma->obj before unlocking.

i915_gem_evict_something, v2.
Because we will start to require the obj->resv lock for unbinding,
ensure these vma eviction utility functions also take the lock.
This requires some function signature changes, to ensure that the
ww context is passed around, but is mostly straightforward.
Previously this was split up into several patches, but reworking
should allow for easier bisection.

i915_gem_evict_vm will need to be able to evict objects that are
locked by the current ctx. By testing if the current context already
locked the object, we can do this correctly. This allows us to
evict the entire vm even if we already hold some objects' locks.
Previously, this was spread over several commits, but it makes
more sense to commit the changes to i915_gem_evict_vm separately
from the changes to i915_gem_evict_something() and
i915_gem_evict_for_node().

When introducing asynchronous unbinding, the vma itself may no longer
be alive when the actual binding or unbinding takes place.
Update the gtt i915_vma_ops accordingly to take a struct i915_vma_resource
instead of a struct i915_vma for the bind_vma() and unbind_vma() ops.
Similarly change the insert_entries() op for struct i915_address_space.
Replace a couple of i915_vma_snapshot members with their newly introduced
i915_vma_resource counterparts, since they have the same lifetime.
Also make sure to avoid changing the struct i915_vma_flags (in particular
the bind flags) async. That should now only be done sync under the
vm mutex.

Introduce vma resources, sort of similar to TTM resources, needed for
asynchronous bind management. Initially we will use them to hold
completion of unbinding when we capture data from a vma, but they will
be used extensively in upcoming patches for asynchronous vma unbinding.
