bridge->encoder
Because the existence of 'bridge->encoder' has already been checked before
the ptn3460_bridge_attach() function get called, and drm_bridge_attach()
will quit with a negative error code returned if it fails for some reasons.
Hence, it is guaranteed that the .encoder member of the drm_bridge instance
is not NULL when the ptn3460_bridge_attach() function get called.
Remove the redundant checking codes "if (!bridge->encoder) { ... }".

The i2c_master_send/recv() functions return negative error codes or
they return "len" on success. So the error handling here can be written
as just normal checks for "if (ret < 0) return ret;". No need to
complicate things.
Btw, in this code the "len" parameter can never be zero, but even if
it were, then I feel like this would still be the best way to write it.

The i2c_master_send/recv() functions return negative error codes or the
number of bytes that were able to be sent/received. This code has
two problems. 1) Instead of checking if all the bytes were sent or
received, it checks that at least one byte was sent or received.
2) If there was a partial send/receive then we should return a negative
error code but this code returns success.

After commit b8a1a4cd5a98 ("i2c: Provide a temporary .probe_new()
call-back type"), all drivers being converted to .probe_new() and then
03c835f498b5 ("i2c: Switch .probe() to not take an id parameter") convert
back to (the new) .probe() to be able to eventually drop .probe_new() from
struct i2c_driver.

The value returned by an i2c driver's remove function is mostly ignored.
(Only an error message is printed if the value is non-zero that the
error is ignored.)
So change the prototype of the remove function to return no value. This
way driver authors are not tempted to assume that passing an error to
the upper layer is a good idea. All drivers are adapted accordingly.
There is no intended change of behaviour, all callbacks were prepared to
return 0 before.

Prepare the bridge driver for use in a chained setup.
- Replacing direct use of drm_panel with drm_panel_bridge support.
- Make the connector creation optional
Note: the bridge panel will use the connector type from the panel.

Most bridge drivers create a DRM connector to model the connector at the
output of the bridge. This model is historical and has worked pretty
well so far, but causes several issues:
- It prevents supporting more complex display pipelines where DRM
connector operations are split over multiple components. For instance a
pipeline with a bridge connected to the DDC signals to read EDID data,
and another one connected to the HPD signal to detect connection and
disconnection, will not be possible to support through this model.
- It requires every bridge driver to implement similar connector
handling code, resulting in code duplication.
- It assumes that a bridge will either be wired to a connector or to
another bridge, but doesn't support bridges that can be used in both
positions very well (although there is some ad-hoc support for this in
the analogix_dp bridge driver).
In order to solve these issues, ownership of the connector should be
moved to the display controller driver (where it can be implemented
using helpers provided by the core).
Extend the bridge API to allow disabling connector creation in bridge
drivers as a first step towards the new model. The new flags argument to
the bridge .attach() operation allows instructing the bridge driver to
skip creating a connector. Unconditionally set the new flags argument to
0 for now to keep the existing behaviour, and modify all existing bridge
drivers to return an error when connector creation is not requested as
they don't support this feature yet.
The change is based on the following semantic patch, with manual review

We are about to add a drm_bridge_state that inherits from
drm_private_state which is defined in drm_atomic.h. Problem is,
drm_atomic.h includes drm_crtc.h which in turn includes drm_bridge.h,
leading to "drm_private_state has incomplete type" error.
Let's force all users of the drm_bridge API to explicitly include
drm_bridge.h.

Having the probe helper stuff (which pretty much everyone needs) in
the drm_crtc_helper.h file (which atomic drivers should never need) is
confusing. Split them out.
To make sure I actually achieved the goal here I went through all
drivers. And indeed, all atomic drivers are now free of
drm_crtc_helper.h includes.
v2: Make it compile. There was so much compile fail on arm drivers
that I figured I'll better not include any of the acks on v1.
v3: Massive rebase because i915 has lost a lot of drmP.h includes, but
not all: Through drm_crtc_helper.h > drm_modeset_helper.h -> drmP.h
there was still one, which this patch largely removes. Which means
rolling out lots more includes all over.
This will also conflict with ongoing drmP.h cleanup by others I
expect.

v4: Review from Laurent for bridge/rcar/omap/shmob/core bits:
- (re)move some of the added includes, use the better include files in
other places (all suggested from Laurent adopted unchanged).

It's dead code, the core handles all this directly now.
The only special case is nouveau and tda988x which used one function
for both legacy modeset code and -nv50 atomic world instead of 2
vtables. But amounts to exactly the same.

Similar to the previous commit, convert drivers open coding OF graph
parsing to use drm_of_find_panel_or_bridge instead.
This changes some error messages to debug messages (in the graph core).
Graph connections are often "no connects" depending on the particular
board, so we want to avoid spurious messages. Plus the kernel is not a
DT validator.

Many drivers (21 to be exact) create connectors that are always
connected (for instance to an LVDS or DSI panel). Instead of forcing
them to implement a dummy .detect() handler, make the callback optional
and consider the connector as always connected in that case.

We have a 1:1 relationship between connectors and encoders, and the driver
is relying on the atomic helpers: we can drop the custom ->best_encoder(),
and let the core call drm_atomic_helper_best_encoder() for us.

The platform_no_drv_owner.cocci coccinelle script generates the
following warning:
drivers/gpu/drm/bridge/nxp-ptn3460.c:403:3-8: No need to set .owner here. The core will do it.
Remove .owner field if calls are used which set it automatically. Patch
generated by scripts/coccinelle/api/platform_no_drv_owner.cocci.

Use vendor prefixes for Kconfig symbols and filenames. This should make
it easier to identify the various bridge drivers and to organize the
directory.
