2020-12-30drm/aspeed: Fix Kconfig warning & subsequent build errorsRandy Dunlap1-0/+1
[ Upstream commit bf296b35489b46780b73b74ad984d06750ed5479 ] Kernel test robot reported build errors (undefined references) that didn't make much sense. After reproducing them, there is also a Kconfig warning that is the root cause of the build errors, so fix that Kconfig problem. Fixes this Kconfig warning: WARNING: unmet direct dependencies detected for CMA Depends on [n]: MMU [=n] Selected by [m]: - DRM_ASPEED_GFX [=m] && HAS_IOMEM [=y] && DRM [=m] && OF [=y] && (COMPILE_TEST [=y] || ARCH_ASPEED) && HAVE_DMA_CONTIGUOUS [=y] and these dependent build errors: (.text+0x10c8c): undefined reference to `start_isolate_page_range' microblaze-linux-ld: (.text+0x10f14): undefined reference to `test_pages_isolated' microblaze-linux-ld: (.text+0x10fd0): undefined reference to `undo_isolate_page_range' Fixes: 76356a966e33 ("drm: aspeed: Clean up Kconfig options") Reported-by: kernel test robot <lkp@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Randy Dunlap <rdunlap@infradead.org> Reviewed-by: Joel Stanley <joel@jms.id.au> Cc: Joel Stanley <joel@jms.id.au> Cc: Andrew Jeffery <andrew@aj.id.au> Cc: Daniel Vetter <daniel.vetter@ffwll.ch> Cc: Michal Simek <monstr@monstr.eu> Cc: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Cc: Mike Rapoport <rppt@linux.ibm.com> Cc: linux-mm@kvack.org Cc: linux-aspeed@lists.ozlabs.org Cc: linux-arm-kernel@lists.infradead.org Cc: David Airlie <airlied@linux.ie> Cc: dri-devel@lists.freedesktop.org Signed-off-by: Joel Stanley <joel@jms.id.au> Link: https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/msgid/20201011230131.4922-1-rdunlap@infradead.org Signed-off-by: Joel Stanley <joel@jms.id.au> Signed-off-by: Sasha Levin <sashal@kernel.org>
2019-08-14drm/aspeed: gfc_crtc: Make structure aspeed_gfx_funcs constantNishka Dasgupta1-1/+1
The static structure aspeed_gfx_funcs, of type drm_simple_display_pipe_funcs, is used only as an argument to drm_simple_display_pipe_init(), which does not modify it. Hence make it constant to protect it from unintended modification. Issue found with Coccinelle. 2019-06-21drm/prime: Actually remove DRIVER_PRIME everywhereDaniel Vetter1-2/+1
Split out to make the functional changes stick out more. All places where DRIVER_PRIME was used have been removed in previous patches already. v2: amdgpu gained DRIVER_SYNCOBJ_TIMELINE. v3: amdgpu lost DRIVER_SYNCOBJ_TIMELINE. v4: Don't add a space in i915_drv.c (Sam) v5: Add note that previous patches removed all the DRIVER_PRIME users already (Emil). v6: Fixupe ingenic (new driver) while applying. 2019-04-16drm: aspeed: Clean up Kconfig optionsJoel Stanley1-3/+3
The GFX IP is inside of the ASPEED BMC SoC so there is little use enabling it on a kernel that does not support ASPEED. When building with COMPILE_TEST the architecture many not have CMA support, so to avoid breaking the build we only select these options if the architecture supports the contiguous allocator. I suspect the DRM_PANEL came from a cut/paste error. 2019-04-04drm: Add ASPEED GFX driverJoel Stanley6-0/+673
This driver is for the ASPEED BMC SoC's GFX display hardware. This driver runs on the ARM based BMC systems, unlike the ast driver which runs on a host CPU and is is for a PCI graphics device.
