2018-02-28drm/amd/powerplay: fix power over limit on FijiEric Huang1-7/+0
power containment disabled only on Fiji and compute power profile. It violates PCIe spec and may cause power supply failed. Enabling it will fix the issue, even the fix will drop performance of some compute tests. This is a followup to: drm/amd/powerplay: Fix buffer overflows with mc_reg_address Rework *_set_mc_special_registers for the other architectures to use the same logic as the first patch. This allows the last entry of the array to be filled without an error message for example. This doesn't fix any known problems, perhaps avoided by luck. When this VF stays in exclusive mode for long, other VFs will be impacted. The redundant messages causes exclusive mode timeout when they're redirected. That is a normal use case for cloud service to redirect guest log to virtual serial port. 2017-11-08drm/amd/powerplay: initialize a variable before using itNicolas Iooss1-0/+2
Function vega10_apply_state_adjust_rules() only initializes stable_pstate_sclk_dpm_percentage when data->registry_data.stable_pstate_sclk_dpm_percentage is not between 1 and 100. The variable is then used to compute stable_pstate_sclk, which therefore uses an uninitialized value. Fix this by initializing stable_pstate_sclk_dpm_percentage to data->registry_data.stable_pstate_sclk_dpm_percentage. This issue has been found while building the kernel with clang. The compiler reported a -Wsometimes-uninitialized warning.
