2018-07-24drm/amd/display: On dce100, set clocks to 0 on suspendDavid Francis1-3/+16
[Why] When a dce100 asic was suspended, the clocks were not set to 0. Upon resume, the new clock was compared to the existing clock, they were found to be the same, and so the clock was not set. This resulted in a pernicious blackscreen. [How] In atomic commit, check to see if there are any active pipes. SMU can future lower voltages in long idle case when all display is off. If all display output is turned off via DPMS, send display_count = 0 after all output are turned off. otherwise send display_count msg before turning on display to make sure SMU exit S0i2 state. before is not neccessary as we are out of S0i2 when driver execute code, but send message before anyways for correctness. Until now new context would start as empty, then populated with exsisting pipes + new. Now we start with duplication of existing context and then add/delete from the context pipes as needed. This allows to do a per stream resource population, start discarding dc_validation_set and by this brings DC closer to to DRM. v2: Add some fixes and rebase. PPLib is now calling into DC to get vrefresh and min_vblank_time, but since full bandwidth calcs are missing for those generations, the pplib structures were never being filled. 2017-09-27drm/amd/display: decouple per-crtc-plane modelAlex Deucher1-0/+2
Current design has per-crtc-plane model. As a result, for asic's that support underlay, are unable to expose it to user space for modesetting. To enable this, the drm driver intialisation now runs for number of surfaces instead of stream/crtc. This patch plumbs surface capabilities to drm framework so that it can be effectively used by user space.
