2025-08-11drm/amdgpu: Save and restore switch stateLijo Lazar1-5/+80
During a DPC error kernel waits for the link to be active before notifying downstream devices. On certain platforms with Broadcom switch in synthetiic mode, switch responds with values even though the link is not fully ready. The config space restoration done by pcie port driver for SWUS/DS of dGPU is thus not effective as the switch is still doing internal enumeration. As a workaround, save state of SWUS/DS device in driver. Add additional check to see if link is active and restore the values during DPC error callbacks. 2025-08-04drm/amdgpu: Effective health check before resetCe Sun1-18/+8
Move amdgpu_device_health_check into amdgpu_device_gpu_recover to ensure that if the device is present can be checked before reset The reason is: 1.During the dpc event, the device where the dpc event occurs is not present on the bus 2.When both dpc event and ATHUB event occur simultaneously, the dpc thread holds the reset domain lock when detecting error, and the gpu recover thread acquires the hive lock. The device is simultaneously in the states of amdgpu_ras_in_recovery and occurs_dpc,so gpu recover thread will not go to amdgpu_device_health_check.It waits for the reset domain lock held by the dpc thread, but dpc thread has not released the reset domain lock.In the dpc callback slot_reset,to obtain the hive lock, the hive lock is held by the gpu recover thread at this time.So a deadlock occurred Signed-off-by: Ce Sun <cesun102@amd.com> Reviewed-by: Tao Zhou <tao.zhou1@amd.com> Signed-off-by: Alex Deucher <alexander.deucher@amd.com>

2025-07-16drm/amdgpu: make compute timeouts consistentAlex Deucher1-10/+2
For kernel compute queues, align the timeout with other kernel queues (10 sec). This had previously been set higher for OpenCL when it used kernel queues, but now OpenCL uses KFD user queues which don't have a timeout limitation. This also aligns with SR-IOV which already used a shorter timeout. Additionally the longer timeout negatively impacts the user experience with kernel queues for interactive applications. 2025-06-17drm: Create a task info option for wedge eventsAndré Almeida1-1/+1
When a device get wedged, it might be caused by a guilty application. For userspace, knowing which task was involved can be useful for some situations, like for implementing a policy, logs or for giving a chance for the compositor to let the user know what task was involved in the problem. This is an optional argument, when the task info is not available, the PID and TASK string won't appear in the event string. Sometimes just the PID isn't enough giving that the task might be already dead by the time userspace will try to check what was this PID's name, so to make the life easier also notify what's the task's name in the user event. 2025-05-08drm/amdgpu: fix pm notifier handlingAlex Deucher1-13/+5
Set the s3/s0ix and s4 flags in the pm notifier so that we can skip the resource evictions properly in pm prepare based on whether we are suspending or hibernating. 2025-05-08drm/amdgpu: Implement unrecoverable error message handling for VFsEllen Pan1-0/+5
This notification may arrive in VF mailbox while polling for response from another event. This patches covers the following scenarios: - If VF is already in RMA state, then do not attempt to contact the host. Host will ignore the VF after sending the notification. - If the notification is detected during polling, then set the RMA status, and return error to caller. - If the notification arrives by interrupt, then set the RMA status and queue a reset. This reset will fail and VF will stop runtime services.
