Before sending the data via the mailbox to the hardware, to ensure
that the data accessed by the hardware is the most up-to-date,
a write barrier should be added before writing to the mailbox register.
The current memory barrier is placed after writing to the register,
the barrier order should be modified to be before writing to the register.

The hibernate resume sequence involves loading a resume kernel that is just
used for loading the hibernate image before shifting back to the existing
kernel.
During that hibernate resume sequence the resume kernel may have loaded
the ccp driver. If this happens the resume kernel will also have called
PSP_CMD_TEE_RING_INIT but it will never have called
PSP_CMD_TEE_RING_DESTROY.
This is problematic because the existing kernel needs to re-initialize the
ring. One could argue that the existing kernel should call destroy
as part of restore() but there is no guarantee that the resume kernel did
or didn't load the ccp driver. There is also no callback opportunity for
the resume kernel to destroy before handing back control to the existing
kernel.
Similar problems could potentially exist with the use of kdump and
crash handling. I actually reproduced this issue like this:
1) rmmod ccp
2) hibernate the system
3) resume the system
4) modprobe ccp
The resume kernel will have loaded ccp but never destroyed and then when
I try to modprobe it fails.
Because of these possible cases add a flow that checks the error code from
the PSP_CMD_TEE_RING_INIT call and tries to call PSP_CMD_TEE_RING_DESTROY
if it failed. If this succeeds then call PSP_CMD_TEE_RING_INIT again.

The starfive_aes_aead_do_one_req() function allocates rctx->adata with
kzalloc() but fails to free it if sg_copy_to_buffer() or
starfive_aes_hw_init() fails, which lead to memory leaks.
Since rctx->adata is unconditionally freed after the write_adata
operations, ensure consistent cleanup by freeing the allocation in these
earlier error paths as well.
Compile tested only. Issue found using a prototype static analysis tool
and code review.

When commit 0e1a4d427f58 ("crypto: caam: Unembed net_dev structure in
dpaa2") converted embedded net_device to dynamically allocated pointers,
it added cleanup in dpaa2_dpseci_disable() but missed adding cleanup in
dpaa2_dpseci_free() for error paths.
This causes memory leaks when dpaa2_dpseci_dpio_setup() fails during probe
due to DPIO devices not being ready yet. The kernel's deferred probe
mechanism handles the retry successfully, but the netdevs allocated during
the failed probe attempt are never freed, resulting in kmemleak reports
showing multiple leaked netdev-related allocations all traced back to
dpaa2_caam_probe().
Fix this by preserving the CPU mask of allocated netdevs during setup and
using it for cleanup in dpaa2_dpseci_free(). This approach ensures that
only the CPUs that actually had netdevs allocated will be cleaned up,
avoiding potential issues with CPU hotplug scenarios.

Modify the behavior of implicit SEV initialization in some of the
SEV ioctls to do both SEV initialization and shutdown and add
implicit SNP initialization and shutdown to some of the SNP ioctls
so that the change of SEV/SNP platform initialization not being
done during PSP driver probe time does not break userspace tools
such as sevtool, etc.
Prior to this patch, SEV has always been initialized before these
ioctls as SEV initialization is done as part of PSP module probe,
but now with SEV initialization being moved to KVM module load instead
of PSP driver probe, the implied SEV INIT actually makes sense and gets
used and additionally to maintain SEV platform state consistency
before and after the ioctl SEV shutdown needs to be done after the
firmware call.
It is important to do SEV Shutdown here with the SEV/SNP initialization
moving to KVM, an implicit SEV INIT here as part of the SEV ioctls not
followed with SEV Shutdown will cause SEV to remain in INIT state and
then a future SNP INIT in KVM module load will fail.
Also ensure that for these SEV ioctls both implicit SNP and SEV INIT is
done followed by both SEV and SNP shutdown as RMP table must be
initialized before calling SEV INIT if SNP host support is enabled.
Similarly, prior to this patch, SNP has always been initialized before
these ioctls as SNP initialization is done as part of PSP module probe,
therefore, to keep a consistent behavior, SNP init needs to be done
here implicitly as part of these ioctls followed with SNP shutdown
before returning from the ioctl to maintain the consistent platform
state before and after the ioctl.

In the shared queue design, multiple tfms use same qp, and one qp
need to corresponds to multiple qp_ctx. So use tag to obtain the
req virtual address. Build a one-to-one relationship between tfm
and qp_ctx. finaly remove the old get_tag operation.

When VM boots with one virtio-crypto PCI device and builtin backend,
run openssl benchmark command with multiple processes, such as
openssl speed -evp aes-128-cbc -engine afalg -seconds 10 -multi 32
openssl processes will hangup and there is error reported like this:
virtio_crypto virtio0: dataq.0:id 3 is not a head!
It seems that the data virtqueue need protection when it is handled
for virtio done notification. If the spinlock protection is added
in virtcrypto_done_task(), openssl benchmark with multiple processes
works well.

The existing allocation of scatterlists in omap_crypto_copy_sg_lists()
was allocating an array of scatterlist pointers, not scatterlist objects,
resulting in a 4x too small allocation.
Use sizeof(*new_sg) to get the correct object size.

OTX_CPT_UCODE_NAME_LENGTH limits the microcode name to 64 bytes. If a
user writes a string of exactly 64 characters, the original code used
'strlen(buf) > 64' to check the length, but then strscpy() copies only
63 characters before adding a NUL terminator, silently truncating the
copied string.
Fix this off-by-one error by using 'count' directly for the length check
to ensure long names are rejected early and copied without truncation.

The local variable 'i' is initialized with -EINVAL, but the for loop
immediately overwrites it and -EINVAL is never returned.
If no empty compression mode can be found, the function would return the
out-of-bounds index IAA_COMP_MODES_MAX, which would cause an invalid
array access in add_iaa_compression_mode().
Fix both issues by returning either a valid index or -EINVAL.

The restarting message from PF to VF is sent twice during AER error
handling: once from adf_error_detected() and again from
adf_disable_sriov().
This causes userspace subservices to shutdown unexpectedly when they
receive a duplicate restarting message after already being restarted.
Avoid calling adf_pf2vf_notify_restarting() and
adf_pf2vf_wait_for_restarting_complete() from adf_error_detected() so
that the restarting msg is sent only once from PF to VF.

The save_iaa_wq() function unconditionally returns 0, even when an error
is encountered. This prevents the error code from being propagated to the
caller.
Fix this by returning the 'ret' variable, which holds the actual status
of the operations within the function.

increases the device reference count, but fails to call put_device()
to balance the reference count and lead to a device reference leak.
Add put_device() calls in both the error path and success path to
properly balance the reference count.
Found via static analysis.

When disabling SR-IOV, clear the configuration of each VF
in the hardware. Do not exit the configuration clearing process
due to the failure of a single VF. Additionally, Clear the VF
configurations before decrementing the PM counter.

Before the device reset, although the driver has set the queue
status to intercept doorbells sent by the task process, the reset
thread is isolated from the user-mode task process, so the task process
may still send doorbells. Therefore, before the reset, the queue is
directly invalidated, and the device directly discards the doorbells
sent by the process.

during entropy evaluation, if the generated samples fail
any statistical test, then, all of the bits will be discarded,
and a second set of samples will be generated and tested.
the entropy delay interval should be doubled before performing the
retry.
also, ctrlpriv->rng4_sh_init and inst_handles both reads RNG DRNG
status register, but only inst_handles is updated before every retry.
so only check inst_handles and removing ctrlpriv->rng4_sh_init

payload_size field of the request header is incorrectly calculated using
sizeof(req). Since 'req' is a pointer (struct hsti_request *), sizeof(req)
returns the size of the pointer itself (e.g., 8 bytes on a 64-bit system),
rather than the size of the structure it points to. This leads to an
incorrect payload size being sent to the Platform Security Processor (PSP),
potentially causing the HSTI query command to fail.
Fix this by using sizeof(*req) to correctly calculate the size of the
struct hsti_request.

Using the number of bytes in the request as DMA timeout is really
inconsistent, as large requests could possibly set a timeout of
hundreds of seconds.
Remove the per-channel timeout field and use a single, static DMA
timeout of 3 seconds for all requests.

Since SEV or SNP may already be initialized in the previous kernel,
attempting to initialize them again in the kdump kernel can result
in SNP initialization failures, which in turn lead to IOMMU
initialization failures. Moreover, SNP/SEV guests are not run under a
kdump kernel, so there is no need to initialize SEV or SNP during
kdump boot.
Skip SNP and SEV INIT if doing kdump boot.

As noted in the kernel documentation [1], open-coded multiplication in
allocator arguments is discouraged because it can lead to integer overflow.
Use kcalloc() to gain built-in overflow protection, making memory
allocation safer when calculating allocation size compared to explicit
multiplication. Similarly, use size_add() instead of explicit addition
for 'uobj_chunk_num + sobj_chunk_num'.

The clock obtained via devm_clk_get_enabled() is automatically managed
by devres and will be disabled and freed on driver detach. Manually
calling clk_disable_unprepare() in error path and remove function
causes double free.
Remove the manual clock cleanup in both aspeed_acry_probe()'s error
path and aspeed_acry_remove().

When the initialization of qm->debug.acc_diff_reg fails,
the probe process does not exit. However, after qm->debug.qm_diff_regs is
freed, it is not set to NULL. This can lead to a double free when the
remove process attempts to free it again. Therefore, qm->debug.qm_diff_regs
should be set to NULL after it is freed.

When the device resumes from a suspended state, it will revert to its
initial state and requires re-enabling. Currently, the address prefetch
function is not re-enabled after device resuming. Move the address prefetch
enable to the initialization process. In this way, the address prefetch
can be enabled when the device resumes by calling the initialization
process.

In otx2_cpt_dl_custom_egrp_create(), strscpy() is called with the length
of the source string rather than the size of the destination buffer.
This is fine as long as the destination buffer is larger than the source
string, but we should still use the destination buffer size instead to
call strscpy() as intended. And since 'tmp_buf' is a fixed-size buffer,
we can safely omit the size argument and let strscpy() infer it using
sizeof().

and uses this memory for dma (does dma_map_single()). It assumes
that kmalloc/kzalloc will return 128-byte aligned address. But
kmalloc/kzalloc returns 8-byte aligned address after below changes:
"9382bc44b5f5 arm64: allow kmalloc() caches aligned to the
smaller cache_line_size()
Memory allocated are used for following purpose:
- Input data or scatter list address - 8-Byte alignment
- Output data or gather list address - 8-Byte alignment
- Completion address - 32-Byte alignment.
This patch ensures all addresses are aligned as mentioned above.

Repeated loading and unloading of a device specific QAT driver, for
example qat_4xxx, in a tight loop can lead to a crash due to a
use-after-free scenario. This occurs when a power management (PM)
interrupt triggers just before the device-specific driver (e.g.,
qat_4xxx.ko) is unloaded, while the core driver (intel_qat.ko) remains
loaded.
Since the driver uses a shared workqueue (`qat_misc_wq`) across all
devices and owned by intel_qat.ko, a deferred routine from the
device-specific driver may still be pending in the queue. If this
routine executes after the driver is unloaded, it can dereference freed
memory, resulting in a page fault and kernel crash like the following:

To prevent this, flush the misc workqueue during device shutdown to
ensure that all pending work items are completed before the driver is
unloaded.
Note: This approach may slightly increase shutdown latency if the
workqueue contains jobs from other devices, but it ensures correctness
and stability.

Since the CAAM on these SoCs is managed by another ARM core, called the
SECO (Security Controller) on iMX8QM and Secure Enclave on iMX8ULP, which
also reserves access to register page 0 suspend operations cannot touch
this page.
This is similar to when running OPTEE, where OPTEE will reserve page 0.
Track this situation using a new state variable no_page0, reflecting if
page 0 is reserved elsewhere, either by other management cores in SoC or
by OPTEE.
Replace the optee_en check in suspend/resume with the new check.
optee_en cannot go away as it's needed elsewhere to gate OPTEE specific
situations.
