2021-03-04crypto: sun4i-ss - initialize need_fallbackCorentin Labbe1-1/+1
commit 4ec8977b921fd9d512701e009ce8082cb94b5c1c upstream. The need_fallback is never initialized and seem to be always true at runtime. So all hardware operations are always bypassed. commit 5ab6177fa02df15cd8a02a1f1fb361d2d5d8b946 upstream. Ciphers produce invalid results on BE. Key and IV need to be written in LE. 2021-03-04crypto: sun4i-ss - checking sg length is not sufficientCorentin Labbe1-2/+2
commit 7bdcd851fa7eb66e8922aa7f6cba9e2f2427a7cf upstream. The optimized cipher function need length multiple of 4 bytes. But it get sometimes odd length. This is due to SG data could be stored with an offset. So the fix is to check also if the offset is aligned with 4 bytes. 2021-03-04crypto: sun4i-ss - fix kmap usageCorentin Labbe1-44/+65
[ Upstream commit 9bc3dd24e7dccd50757db743a3635ad5b0497e6e ] With the recent kmap change, some tests which were conditional on CONFIG_DEBUG_HIGHMEM now are enabled by default. This permit to detect a problem in sun4i-ss usage of kmap. sun4i-ss uses two kmap via sg_miter (one for input, one for output), but using two kmap at the same time is hard: "the ordering has to be correct and with sg_miter that's probably hard to get right." (quoting Tlgx) So the easiest solution is to never have two sg_miter/kmap open at the same time. After each use of sg_miter, I store the current index, for being able to resume sg_miter to the right place. 2021-03-04crypto: sun4i-ss - linearize buffers content must be keptCorentin Labbe1-8/+4
[ Upstream commit 583513510a7acd2306787865bcd19ebb2f629d42 ] When running the non-optimized cipher function, SS produce partial random output. This is due to linearize buffers being reseted after each loop. For preserving stack, instead of moving them back to start of function, I move them in sun4i_ss_ctx. 2019-12-31crypto: sun4i-ss - Fix 64-bit size_t warningsHerbert Xu1-8/+14
[ Upstream commit d6e9da21ee8246b5e556b3b153401ab045adb986 ] If you try to compile this driver on a 64-bit platform then you will get warnings because it mixes size_t with unsigned int which only works on 32-bit. This patch fixes all of the warnings. 2019-07-15docs: arm: convert docs to ReST and rename to *.rstMauro Carvalho Chehab1-1/+1
Converts ARM the text files to ReST, preparing them to be an architecture book. The conversion is actually: - add blank lines and identation in order to identify paragraphs; - fix tables markups; - add some lists markups; - mark literal blocks; - adjust title markups. At its new index.rst, let's add a :orphan: while this is not linked to the main index.rst file, in order to avoid build warnings. 2019-06-27crypto: sun4i-ss - reduce stack usageArnd Bergmann1-17/+30
After the latest addition, the stack usage of sun4i_ss_cipher_poll grew beyond the warning limit when KASAN is enabled: drivers/crypto/sunxi-ss/sun4i-ss-cipher.c:118:12: error: stack frame size of 1152 bytes in function 'sun4i_ss_cipher_poll' [-Werror,-Wframe-larger-than=] static int sun4i_ss_cipher_poll(struct skcipher_request *areq) Reduce it in three ways: - split out the new code into a separate function so its stack usage can overlap that of the sun4i_ss_opti_poll() code path - mark both special cases as noinline_for_stack, which should ideally result in a tail call that frees the rest of the stack - move the buf and obuf variables into the code blocks in which they are used. The three separate functions now use 144, 640 and 304 bytes of kernel stack, respectively. 2019-01-25crypto: clarify name of WEAK_KEY request flagEric Biggers1-1/+1
CRYPTO_TFM_REQ_WEAK_KEY confuses newcomers to the crypto API because it sounds like it is requesting a weak key. Actually, it is requesting that weak keys be forbidden (for algorithms that have the notion of "weak keys"; currently only DES and XTS do). Also it is only one letter away from CRYPTO_TFM_RES_WEAK_KEY, with which it can be easily confused. (This in fact happened in the UX500 driver, though just in some debugging messages.) Therefore, make the intent clear by renaming it to CRYPTO_TFM_REQ_FORBID_WEAK_KEYS. Signed-off-by: Eric Biggers <ebiggers@google.com> Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au>

2016-04-05crypto: sun4i-ss - Replace spinlock_bh by spin_lock_irq{save|restore}Corentin LABBE1-4/+6
The current sun4i-ss driver could generate data corruption when ciphering/deciphering. It occurs randomly on end of handled data. No root cause have been found and the only way to remove it is to replace all spin_lock_bh by their irq counterparts. 2016-01-27crypto: sunxi - don't print confusing dataArnd Bergmann1-3/+2
gcc correctly warns that the printk output contains a variable that it thinks is not initialized in some cases: drivers/crypto/sunxi-ss/sun4i-ss-cipher.c: In function 'sun4i_ss_cipher_poll': drivers/crypto/sunxi-ss/sun4i-ss-cipher.c:254:76: warning: 'todo' may be used uninitialized in this function [-Wmaybe-uninitialized] drivers/crypto/sunxi-ss/sun4i-ss-cipher.c:144:15: note: 'todo' was declared here A closer look at the function reveals that the variable is always initialized at this point (ileft is guaranteed to be positive at the start), but its contents are not well-defined: Depending on some other variables, it might be either a count in words or bytes, and it could refer to either input or output. The easiest solution apparently is to remove the confusing output and let the reader figure out the state from the other variables.
