2021-11-03clk: ingenic: Fix bugs with divided dividersPaul Cercueil1-3/+3
Two fixes in one: - In the "impose hardware constraints" block, the "logical" divider value (aka. not translated to the hardware) was clamped to fit in the register area, but this totally ignored the fact that the divider value can itself have a fixed divider. - The code that made sure that the divider value returned by the function was a multiple of its own fixed divider could result in a wrong value being calculated, because it was rounded down instead of rounded up. 2021-06-28clk: Support bypassing dividersPaul Cercueil1-11/+22
When a clock is declared as both CGU_CLK_DIV and CGU_CLK_MUX, the CGU code expects the mux to be applied first, the divider second. On the JZ4760, and maybe on some other SoCs, some clocks also have a mux setting and a divider, but the divider is not applied to all parents selectable from the mux. This could be solved by creating two clocks, one with CGU_CLK_DIV and one with CGU_CLK_MUX, but that would increase the number of clocks. Instead, add a 8-bit mask to CGU_CLK_DIV clocks. If the bit corresponding to the parent clock's index is set, the divider is bypassed. 2020-12-20clk: ingenic: Fix divider calculation with div tablesPaul Cercueil1-4/+10
The previous code assumed that a higher hardware value always resulted in a bigger divider, which is correct for the regular clocks, but is an invalid assumption when a divider table is provided for the clock. Perfect example of this is the PLL0_HALF clock, which applies a /2 divider with the hardware value 0, and a /1 divider otherwise. 2020-10-14clk: ingenic: Respect CLK_SET_RATE_PARENT in .round_ratePaul Cercueil1-0/+2
Clocks that don't have a divider are in our case all marked with the CLK_SET_RATE_PARENT flag. In this case, the .round_rate implementation should modify the value pointed to by parent_rate, in order to propagate the rate change to the parent, as explained in the documentation of clk_set_rate(). 2020-05-29clk: Ingenic: Adjust cgu code to make it compatible with X1830.周琰杰 (Zhou Yanjie)1-3/+13
The PLL of X1830 Soc from Ingenic has been greatly changed, the bypass control is placed in another register, so now two registers may needed to control the PLL. To this end, a new "bypass_reg" was introduced. In addition, when calculating rate, the PLL of X1830 introduced an extra 2x multiplier, so a new "rate_multiplier" was introduced. And adjust the code in jz47xx-cgu.c and x1000-cgu.c, make it to be compatible with the new cgu code. git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/clk/linux Pull clk updates from Stephen Boyd: "This round of clk driver and framework updates is heavy on the driver update side. The two main highlights in the core framework are the addition of an bulk clk_get API that handles optional clks and an extra debugfs file that tells the developer about the current parent of a clk. The driver updates are dominated by i.MX in the diffstat, but that is mostly because that SoC has started converting to the clk_hw style of clk registration. The next big update is in the Amlogic meson clk driver that gained some support for audio, cpu, and temperature clks while fixing some PLL issues. Finally, the biggest thing that stands out is the conversion of a large part of the Allwinner sunxi-ng driver to the new clk parent scheme that uses less strings and more pointer comparisons to match clk parents and children up. In general, it looks like we have a lot of little fixes and tweaks here and there to clk data along with the normal addition of a handful of new drivers and a couple new core framework features. 2019-06-07clk: ingenic: Add support for divider tablesPaul Cercueil1-6/+35
Some clocks provided on Ingenic SoCs have dividers, whose hardware value as written in the register cannot be expressed as an affine function to the actual divider value. For instance, for the CPU clock on the JZ4770, the dividers are coded as follows: ------------------ | Bits | Div | ------------------ | 0 0 0 | 1 | | 0 0 1 | 2 | | 0 1 0 | 3 | | 0 1 1 | 4 | | 1 0 0 | 6 | | 1 0 1 | 8 | | 1 1 0 | 12 | ------------------ To support this setup, we introduce a new field in the ingenic_cgu_div_info structure that allows to specify the divider table. 2019-02-22clk: ingenic: Fix round_rate misbehaving with non-integer dividersPaul Cercueil1-5/+5
Take a parent rate of 180 MHz, and a requested rate of 4.285715 MHz. This results in a theorical divider of 41.999993 which is then rounded up to 42. The .round_rate function would then return (180 MHz / 42) as the clock, rounded down, so 4.285714 MHz. Calling clk_set_rate on 4.285714 MHz would round the rate again, and give a theorical divider of 42,0000028, now rounded up to 43, and the rate returned would be (180 MHz / 43) which is 4.186046 MHz, aka. not what we requested. 2017-11-03Update MIPS email addressesPaul Burton1-1/+1
MIPS will soon not be a part of Imagination Technologies, and as such many @imgtec.com email addresses will no longer be valid. This patch updates the addresses for those who: - Have 10 or more patches in mainline authored using an @imgtec.com email address, or any patches dated within the past year. - Are still with Imagination but leaving as part of the MIPS business unit, as determined from an internal email address list. - Haven't already updated their email address (ie. JamesH) or expressed a desire to be excluded (ie. Maciej). - Acked v2 or earlier of this patch, which leaves Deng-Cheng, Matt & myself. New addresses are of the form firstname.lastname@mips.com, and all verified against an internal email address list. An entry is added to .mailmap for each person such that get_maintainer.pl will report the new addresses rather than @imgtec.com addresses which will soon be dead. Instances of the affected addresses throughout the tree are then mechanically replaced with the new @mips.com address. 2016-05-13clk: ingenic: Allow divider value to be dividedHarvey Hunt1-1/+10
The JZ4780's MSC clock divider registers multiply the clock divider by 2. This means that MMC devices run at half their expected speed. Add the ability to divide the clock divider in order to solve this. 2015-06-21clk: ingenic: add driver for Ingenic SoC CGU clocksPaul Burton1-0/+711
This driver supports the CGU clocks for Ingenic SoCs. It is generic enough to be usable across at least the JZ4740 to the JZ4780, and will be made use of on such devices in subsequent commits. This patch by itself only adds the SoC-agnostic infrastructure that forms the bulk of the CGU driver for the aforementioned further commits to make use of.
