2016-09-13hwrng: pasemi - Use linux/io.h instead of asm/io.hPrasannaKumar Muralidharan1-1/+1
Checkpatch.pl warns about usage of asm/io.h. Use linux/io.h instead. Signed-off-by: PrasannaKumar Muralidharan <prasannatsmkumar@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au>
2016-09-07hwrng: pasemi - Migrate to managed APIPrasannaKumar Muralidharan1-30/+7
Use devm_ioremap and devm_hwrng_register instead of ioremap and hwrng_register. This removes unregistering and error handling code. Changes in v2: Remove hardcoded resource size in ioremap, use resource struct obtained by calling platform_get_resource. Removing hardcoded resource size was suggested by LABBE Corentin. 2015-09-21hwrng: Fix module autoload for OF platform driversLuis de Bethencourt1-0/+1
This platform drivers have a OF device ID table but the OF module alias information is not created so module autoloading won't work. Signed-off-by: Luis de Bethencourt <luisbg@osg.samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au>
2015-03-16char: constify of_device_id arrayFabian Frederick1-1/+1
of_device_id is always used as const. (See driver.of_match_table and open firmware functions) Signed-off-by: Fabian Frederick <fabf@skynet.be> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
2014-10-20char: hw_random: drop owner assignment from platform_driversWolfram Sang1-1/+0
A platform_driver does not need to set an owner, it will be populated by the driver core. Signed-off-by: Wolfram Sang <wsa@the-dreams.de>

Powerpc is a mess of implicit includes by prom.h. Add the necessary explicit includes to drivers in preparation of prom.h cleanup. Signed-off-by: Rob Herring <rob.herring@calxeda.com> Acked-by: Grant Likely <grant.likely@linaro.org>
2013-01-04Drivers: char: remove __dev* attributes.Greg Kroah-Hartman1-1/+1
CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As a result, the __dev* markings need to be removed. This change removes the use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitdata, __devinitconst, and __devexit from these drivers. Based on patches originally written by Bill Pemberton, but redone by me in order to handle some of the coding style issues better, by hand. module_platform_driver() This patch converts the drivers in drivers/char/hw_random/* to use the module_platform_driver() macro which makes the code smaller and a bit simpler. Cc: David S. 2011-02-28dt/powerpc: Eliminate users of of_platform_{,un}register_driverGrant Likely1-5/+4
Get rid of old users of of_platform_driver in arch/powerpc. Most of_platform_driver users can be converted to use the platform_bus directly. Signed-off-by: Grant Likely <grant.likely@secretlab.ca>
2010-08-06of/device: Replace struct of_device with struct platform_deviceGrant Likely1-2/+2
of_device is just an alias for platform_device, so remove it entirely. Also replace to_of_device() with to_platform_device() and update comment blocks. This patch was initially generated from the following semantic patch, and then edited by hand to pick up the bits that coccinelle didn't catch. @@ @@ -struct of_device +struct platform_device Signed-off-by: Grant Likely <grant.likely@secretlab.ca> Reviewed-by: David S. 2010-05-22of: Remove duplicate fields from of_platform_driverGrant Likely1-2/+5
.name, .match_table and .owner are duplicated in both of_platform_driver and device_driver. This patch is a removes the extra copies from struct of_platform_driver and converts all users to the device_driver members. This patch is a pretty mechanical change. The usage model doesn't change and if any drivers have been missed, or if anything has been fixed up incorrectly, then it will fail with a compile time error, and the fixup will be trivial. This patch looks big and scary because it touches so many files, but it should be pretty safe. 2010-05-19of: Always use 'struct device.of_node' to get device node pointer.Grant Likely1-1/+1
The following structure elements duplicate the information in 'struct device.of_node' and so are being eliminated. This patch makes all readers of these elements use device.of_node instead. (struct of_device *)->node (struct dev_archdata *)->prom_node (sparc) (struct dev_archdata *)->of_node (powerpc & microblaze) Signed-off-by: Grant Likely <grant.likely@secretlab.ca>
