2012-03-22ACPICA: Add acpi_os_physical_table_override interfaceBob Moore1-20/+97
This interface allows the host to override a table via a physical address, instead of the logical address required by acpi_os_table_override. This simplifies the host implementation. Initial implementation by Thomas Renninger. ACPICA implementation creates a single function for table overrides that attempts both a logical and a physical override. 2010-05-06ACPICA: Clarify/rename some root table descriptor fieldsBob Moore1-35/+34
Original fields were not very descriptive and led to maintenance problems. New fields should help to understand the existing code. Signed-off-by: Bob Moore <robert.moore@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Lin Ming <ming.m.lin@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Len Brown <len.brown@intel.com>
2010-01-22ACPICA: Update all ACPICA copyrights and signons to 2010Bob Moore1-1/+1
Add 2010 copyright to all module headers and signons, including the Linux header. This affects virtually every file in the ACPICA core subsystem, iASL compiler, and all utilities. 2009-03-27ACPICA: Fix AcpiWalkNamespace race condition with table unloadBob Moore1-8/+37
Added a reader/writer locking mechanism to allow multiple concurrent namespace walks (readers), but a dynamic table unload will have exclusive access to the namespace. This fixes a problem where a table unload could delete the portion of the namespace that is currently being examined by a walk. Adds a new file, utlock.c that implements the reader/writer lock mechanism.
