2012-05-12sparc32: remove sun4c trapsSam Ravnborg1-2/+0
We used to runtime patch the trap table for srmmu. With the removal of sun4c support this is no longer required. With the sun4c trap removed we can remove all the referenced trap handling which is sun4c specific. This also allows us to get rid of the nosun4c.c file that contained only dummy functions/data. 2012-05-12sparc32: drop sun4c supportSam Ravnborg1-4/+0
Machines with sun4c support are very rare these days, and noone is using them for any practical purposes. The sun4c support has been know broken for quite some time too. So rather than trying to keep it up-to-date, lets get rid of it. This allows us to do some very welcome cleanup of sparc32 support. Updated the former sun4c specifc nmi (which was also used for sun4m UP) to be a generic UP NMI. Signed-off-by: Sam Ravnborg <sam@ravnborg.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2011-11-18sparc: Kill custom io_remap_pfn_range().David S. Miller1-1/+0
To handle the large physical addresses, just make a simple wrapper around remap_pfn_range() like MIPS does. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

2009-08-18sparc,leon: Introduce the sparc-leon CPU type.Konrad Eisele1-0/+1
Add sparc_leon enum, M_LEON|M_LEON3_SOC machine. Add compilation of leon.c in mm and kernel if CONFIG_SPARC_LEON is defined. Add sparc_leon dependent initialization to switch statements + head.S. 2008-12-04sparc,sparc64: unify mm/Sam Ravnborg1-1/+5
- move all sparc64/mm/ files to arch/sparc/mm/ - commonly named files are named _64.c - add files to sparc/mm/Makefile preserving link order - delete now unused sparc64/mm/Makefile - sparc64 now finds mm/ in sparc Signed-off-by: Sam Ravnborg <sam@ravnborg.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2008-12-04sparc: prepare mm/ for unificationSam Ravnborg1-8/+12
- rename files where sparc64 has similar files to _32.c - Restructure Makefile - Sneak in -Werror as we have for sparc64 Signed-off-by: Sam Ravnborg <sam@ravnborg.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2008-09-01sparc: remove CONFIG_SUN4Adrian Bunk1-7/+2
While doing some easy cleanups on the sparc code I noticed that the CONFIG_SUN4 code seems to be worse than the rest - there were some "I don't know how it should work, but the current code definitely cannot work." places. And while I have seen people running Linux on machines like a SPARCstation 5 a few years ago I don't recall having seen sun4 machines, even less ones running Linux. 2008-05-20sparc: remove CVS keywordsAdrian Bunk1-1/+0
This patch removes the CVS keywords that weren't updated for a long time from comments. Signed-off-by: Adrian Bunk <bunk@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
