2010-07-09powerpc: Removing dead CONFIG_SMP_750Christoph Egger1-15/+0
CONFIG_SMP_750 doesn't exist in Kconfig, therefore removing all references for it from the source code. Signed-off-by: Christoph Egger <siccegge@cs.fau.de> Signed-off-by: Benjamin Herrenschmidt <benh@kernel.crashing.org>
2009-08-20powerpc/mm: Rework & cleanup page table freeing code pathBenjamin Herrenschmidt1-0/+3
That patch used to just add a hook to page table flushing but pulling that string brought out a whole bunch of issues, so it now does that and more: - We now make the RCU batching of page freeing SMP only, as I believe it was intended initially. We make a few more things compile to nothing on !CONFIG_SMP - Some macros are turned into functions, though that forced me to out of line a few stuffs due to unsolvable include depenencies, however it's probably better that way anyway, it's not -that- critical code path. - 32-bit didn't call pte_free_finish() on tlb_flush() which means that it wouldn't push out the batch to RCU for delayed freeing when a bunch of page tables have been freed, they would just stay in there until the batch gets full. 64-bit BookE will use that hook to maintain the virtually linear page tables or the indirect entries in the TLB when using the HW loader. 2008-12-21powerpc/mm: Add SMP support to no-hash TLB handlingBenjamin Herrenschmidt1-0/+4
This commit moves the whole no-hash TLB handling out of line into a new tlb_nohash.c file, and implements some basic SMP support using IPIs and/or broadcast tlbivax instructions. Note that I'm using local invalidations for D->I cache coherency. At worst, if another processor is trying to execute the same and has the old entry in its TLB, it will just take a fault and re-do the TLB flush locally (it won't re-do the cache flush in any case). 2008-12-16powerpc/mm: Rename tlb_32.c and tlb_64.c to tlb_hash32.c and tlb_hash64.cBenjamin Herrenschmidt1-0/+190
This renames the files to clarify the fact that they are used by the hash based family of CPUs (the 603 being an exception in that family but is still handled by that code). This paves the way for the new tlb_nohash.c coming via a subsequent commit.
