2015-03-05mips: fix up obsolete cpu function usage.Rusty Russell1-5/+5
Thanks to spatch, plus manual removal of "&*". Then a sweep for for_each_cpu_mask => for_each_cpu. 2014-11-24MIPS: Remove useless parenthesesRalf Baechle1-3/+2
Based on the spatch @@ expression e; @@ - return (e); + return e; with heavy hand editing because some of the changes are either whitespace or identation only or result in excessivly long lines. Signed-off-by: Ralf Baechle <ralf@linux-mips.org>
2013-05-08MIPS: IP27: Remove pfn_t.Ralf Baechle1-1/+1
In the Linux kernel traditionally pfns are represented by an unsigned long. However a few bits of the SGI IP27 platform code that were ported from IRIX are using pfn_t for historic reasons. This is conflicting with KVM's use of pfn_t. Signed-off-by: Ralf Baechle <ralf@linux-mips.org>

2010-02-27MIPS: Nuke trailing blank linesRalf Baechle1-1/+0
Recent git versions now warn about those and they've always been a bit of an annoyance. Signed-off-by: Ralf Baechle <ralf@linux-mips.org>
2008-07-24PAGE_ALIGN(): correctly handle 64-bit values on 32-bit architecturesAndrea Righi1-0/+1
On 32-bit architectures PAGE_ALIGN() truncates 64-bit values to the 32-bit boundary. For example: u64 val = PAGE_ALIGN(size); always returns a value < 4GB even if size is greater than 4GB. The problem resides in PAGE_MASK definition (from include/asm-x86/page.h for example): #define PAGE_SHIFT 12 #define PAGE_SIZE (_AC(1,UL) << PAGE_SHIFT) #define PAGE_MASK (~(PAGE_SIZE-1)) ... #define PAGE_ALIGN(addr) (((addr)+PAGE_SIZE-1)&PAGE_MASK) The "~" is performed on a 32-bit value, so everything in "and" with PAGE_MASK greater than 4GB will be truncated to the 32-bit boundary. Using the ALIGN() macro seems to be the right way, because it uses typeof(addr) for the mask. Also move the PAGE_ALIGN() definitions out of include/asm-*/page.h in include/linux/mm.h. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
