2019-08-16ia64: remove support for the SGI SN2 platformChristoph Hellwig1-114/+0
The SGI SN2 (early Altix) is a very non-standard IA64 platform that was at the very high end of even IA64 hardware, and has been discontinued a long time ago. Remove it because there no upstream users left, and it has magic hooks all over the kernel. 2019-04-03ia64/tlb: Eradicate tlb_migrate_finish() callbackPeter Zijlstra1-2/+0
Only ia64-sn2 uses this as an optimization, and there it is of questionable correctness due to the mm_users==1 test. Remove it entirely. No change in behavior intended. 2018-10-01dma-mapping: make the get_required_mask method available unconditionallyChristoph Hellwig1-2/+0
This save some duplication for ia64, and makes the interface more general. In the long run we want each dma_map_ops instance to fill this out, but this will take a little more prep work. Signed-off-by: Christoph Hellwig <hch@lst.de> Acked-by: Benjamin Herrenschmidt <benh@kernel.crashing.org>
2012-07-25[IA64] Rename platform_name to ia64_platform_nameFengguang Wu1-1/+1
The macro name is too generic and conflicts with snd_soc_dai_link.platform_name, which triggers lots of build errors. Signed-off-by: Fengguang Wu <fengguang.wu@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Tony Luck <tony.luck@intel.com>

2009-01-15[IA64] SN specific version of dma_get_required_mask()John Keller1-0/+2
Create a platform specific version of dma_get_required_mask() for ia64 SN Altix. All SN Altix platforms support 64 bit DMA addressing regardless of the size of system memory. Create an ia64 machvec for dma_get_required_mask, with the SN version unconditionally returning DMA_64BIT_MASK. Signed-off-by: John Keller <jpk@sgi.com> Signed-off-by: Tony Luck <tony.luck@intel.com>
2009-01-06remove dma operations in struct ia64_machine_vectorFUJITA Tomonori1-24/+0
We don't need dma operation hooks in struct ia64_machine_vector now. This also removes unused ia64_mv_dma_* typedefs. Signed-off-by: FUJITA Tomonori <fujita.tomonori@lab.ntt.co.jp> Acked-by: Tony Luck <tony.luck@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Ingo Molnar <mingo@elte.hu>
2009-01-06set up dma_ops appropriatelyFUJITA Tomonori1-1/+2
This patch introduces a global pointer, dma_ops, which points to an appropriate dma_mapping_ops that the kernel should use. This is a common way to handle multiple dma_mapping_ops (X86, POWER, and SPARC). dma_ops is set in platform_dma_init. We also set it by hand where machvec_init is callev via subsys_initcall. - IA64_DIG_VTD uses vtd_dma_ops. - IA64_HP_ZX1 uses sba_dma_ops. - IA64_HP_ZX1_SWIOTLB uses hwsw_dma_ops. - IA64_SGI_SN2 uses sn_dma_ops. - The rest use swiotlb_dma_ops. 2008-08-01[IA64] Move include/asm-ia64 to arch/ia64/include/asmTony Luck1-0/+139
After moving the the include files there were a few clean-ups: 1) Some files used #include <asm-ia64/xyz.h>, changed to <asm/xyz.h> 2) Some comments alerted maintainers to look at various header files to make matching updates if certain code were to be changed. Updated these comments to use the new include paths. 3) Some header files mentioned their own names in initial comments. Just deleted these self references.
