2012-02-13ARM: ux500: export System-on-Chip information ux500 via sysfsLee Jones1-0/+2
Here we make use of the new System-On-Chip bus driver to export vital SoC information out to userspace via sysfs. This patch provides a data structure of strings to populate the base nodes found in: /sys/devices/soc[0|1|2|...]/[family|machine|revision|soc_id]. It also adds one more node as requested by ST-Ericsson. 'process' depicts the way in which the silicon was manufactured. 2012-02-13ARM: ux500: pass parent pointer to each platform deviceLee Jones1-4/+4
This patch provides a means for any device within ux500 platform code to allocate its own parent. This is particularly prudent with the introduction of /sys/devices/socX, as a device can now proclaim to be integral part of an SoC, rather than a more generic platform device. 2010-12-08ux500: Add eMMC support in U5500.Per Forlin1-0/+3
U5500 now boots from sdi0 (onboard eMMC). Change machine type to U5500. Adjust uart and sdi0 clock rates for u5500. All necessary clocks must be enabled before Linux starts because there is no clock tree support in u5500 yet. This patch adds support for checking if the digital baseband (DB) System-on-Chip (aka "cpu) ASIC hardware version is 1.0, 1.1 or 2.0. We print the result in the bootlog, the functions are then used for runtime decisions based on hardware version.
