By reading the touchscreen configuration from the settings that the maXTouch chip is actually using, we can remove some platform data. The matrix size is not used for anything, and results in some rather confusing code to re-read it because it may change when configuration is downloaded, so don't print it out. S5PV210 is going to get DT support, so we can remove the camera bits from the only board using camera on S5PV210. This allows to clean the exynos4-is driver by dropping code for non-dt platforms. This patch can be dropped if a patch removing the whole board file is applied first. 2014-05-19Input: atmel_mxt_ts - remove unnecessary platform dataNick Dyer1-5/+0
It is not necessary to download these values to the maXTouch chip on every probe, since they are stored in NVRAM. It makes life difficult when tuning the device to keep them in sync with the config array/file, and requires a new kernel build for minor tweaks. These parameters only represent a tiny subset of the available configuration options, tracking all of these options in platform data would be a endless task. In addition, different versions of maXTouch chips may have these values in different places or may not even have them at all. Having these values also makes life more complex for device tree and other platforms where having to define a static configuration isn't helpful. This patch modifies the platform data of max8998 to use arrays for specifying predefined voltages of buck1 and buck2 instead of separate field for each voltage. This allows to simplify the code a bit and will help in adding support for Device Tree, which will be introduced in further patch. Newer Exynos4 SoC are equipped with a local camera ISP that controls external raw image sensor directly. Such sensors can be connected through FIMC-LITEn (and MIPI-CSISn) IPs to the ISP, which then feeds image data to the FIMCn IP. Thus there can be two busses associated with an image source (sensor). Rename struct s5p_fimc_isp_info describing external image sensor (video decoder) to struct fimc_source_info to avoid confusion. bus_type is split into fimc_bus_type and sensor_bus_type. The bus type enumeration is extended to include both FIMC Writeback input types. The bus_type enumeration and the data structure name in the board files are modified according to the above changes. Now that the only field in struct sys_timer is .init, delete the struct, and replace the machine descriptor .timer field with the initialization function itself. Samsung Exynos platforms use the DesignWare Core USB2 IP from Synopsys so it's a bit unfair to have the driver work for Samsung platforms only. In short, the big rework is in preparation to make the driver more reusable. Another big rework in this pull request came from Ido, where he's removing the redundant pointer for the endpoint descriptor from the controller driver's own endpoint representation. The same pointer is available through the generic struct usb_ep structure. Also on this pull request is the conversion of a few extra controller drivers to the new style registration, which allows multiple controllers to be available on the same platform and helps remove global pointers from those drivers. Together with those big changes, there's the usual fixes and cleanups to gadget drivers. Nothing major.
