2021-10-24ARM: qcom: Add ARCH_MSM8916 for MSM8916 on ARM32Stephan Gerhold1-0/+10
Add a CONFIG_ARCH_MSM8916 option to enable building MSM8916 support on ARM32. Note that since ARM64 is the main supported architecture for MSM8916 this is only intended for testing and for devices where signed firmware does not allow booting ARM64 kernels. 2015-12-02ARM: use "depends on" for SoC configs instead of "if" after promptMasahiro Yamada1-1/+2
Many ARM sub-architectures use prompts followed by "if" conditional, but it is wrong. Please notice the difference between config ARCH_FOO bool "Foo SoCs" if ARCH_MULTI_V7 and config ARCH_FOO bool "Foo SoCs" depends on ARCH_MULTI_V7 These two are *not* equivalent! In the former statement, it is not ARCH_FOO, but its prompt that depends on ARCH_MULTI_V7. So, it is completely valid that ARCH_FOO is selected by another, but ARCH_MULTI_V7 is still disabled. As it is not unmet dependency, Kconfig never warns. This is probably not what you want. The former should be used only when you need to do so, and you really understand what you are doing. (In most cases, it should be wrong!) For enabling/disabling sub-architectures, the latter is always correct. As a good side effect, this commit fixes some entries over 80 columns (mach-imx, mach-integrator, mach-mbevu). 2015-03-11firmware: qcom: scm: Move the scm driver to drivers/firmwareKumar Gala1-3/+0
Architectural changes in the ARM Linux kernel tree mandate the eventual removal of the mach-* directories. Move the scm driver to drivers/firmware and the scm header to include/linux to support that removal. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@codeaurora.org>
2015-01-23ARM: qcom: Drop unnecessary selects from ARCH_QCOMStephen Boyd1-2/+0
We don't need to force gpiolib on everyone given that it isn't required to actually boot the device and the multiplatform Kconfig already selects ARCH_WANT_OPTIONAL_GPIOLIB. CLKSRC_OF is already selected by CONFIG_ARCH_MULTIPLATFORM too, so we can drop that here. Signed-off-by: Stephen Boyd <sboyd@codeaurora.org> Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@codeaurora.org>

2014-06-17ARM: use menuconfig for sub-arch menusRob Herring1-5/+1
The System Type menu is getting quite long with platforms and is inconsistent in handling of sub-arch specific options. Tidy up the menu by making platform options a menuconfig entry containing any platform specific config items. 2014-02-07ARM: qcom: Split Qualcomm support into legacy and multiplatformKumar Gala1-0/+33
Introduce a new mach-qcom that will support SoCs that intend to be multiplatform compatible while keeping mach-msm to legacy SoC/board support that will not transition over to multiplatform. As part of this, we move support for MSM8X60, MSM8960 and MSM8974 over to mach-qcom. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@codeaurora.org>
