2012-08-17ARM: mxs: use auxdata to pass flexcan_switch function hookShawn Guo1-0/+44
There are some efforts going on to have flexcan_switch function implemented in flexcan driver, so that this platform function hook can be saved for device tree boot. But due to the mx28evk board design oddness that two flexcan transceivers share one switch gpio, we have to come up a separate and generic gpio-switch driver to handle all these gpio switch use cases. 2012-08-17ARM: mxs: tx28: reset fec phy for device tree bootShawn Guo1-1/+81
For non-DT boot, function tx28_add_fec0 configures all ENET0 pins into gpio mode for resetting fec phy, and then reconfigures those pins into ENET function after that. For DT boot, all the pin configuration is done by pinctrl subsystem. Ideally, when gpio_request gets called, GPIO subsystem should call pinctrl to configure pins into gpio mode automatically, and have pins freed up from pinctrl subsystem when gpio_free is called. But right now, this cooperation between gpio and pinctrl hasn't been available. As the result, we have to explicitly call pinctrl_get_select and pinctrl_put for device tree boot. The non-DT boot reads the mac from OTP and pass it to fec driver via platform data. arch/arm/mach-mxs/module-tx28.c includes "../devices-mx28.h". That's a bit odd, because that header can be found in the same directory. This only works because arch/arm/mach-mxs/include should be in the header search path for this file. Nevertheless, this file can simply include "device-mx28.h" (just as the four other files including that header do). 2012-05-12gpio/mxs: get rid of the use of cpu_is_xxxShawn Guo3-24/+14
It removes the use of cpu_is_xxx from gpio-mxs driver and instead use platform_device_id to identify the device. Accordingly, mxs platform code is changed to register gpio device with different names, and the registeration are done in soc specific initialization functions now, so postcore_initcall(mxs_add_mxs_gpio) gets removed. 2012-05-08ARM: mxs: enable pinctrl dummy statesShawn Guo8-0/+25
The mxs pinctrl driver will only support DT probe. That said, the mxs device drivers can only get pinctrl state from pinctrl subsystem when the drivers get probed from device tree. Before converting the whole mxs platform support over to device tree, we need to enable pinctrl dummy states for those non-DT board files to ensure the pinctrl API adopted by mxs device drivers will work for both DT and non-DT probe. Instead of calling pinctrl_provide_dummies() directly in every board file, the patch introduces soc specific calls mx23_soc_init() and mx28_soc_init() for boards' .init_machine hook to invoke, so that any soc specific setup for non-DT boot only can be added there.
