2016-08-09ARM: dts: imx6qdl: don't configure reserved pad settingsUwe Kleine-König1-12/+12
Several dts files set a bit in the SPEED field for pads RGMII_{R,T}{XC,D0,D1,D2,D3,X_CTL}, but that doesn't exist. Writing there doesn't have an effect and the bit reads as zero. Signed-off-by: Uwe Kleine-König <uwe@kleine-koenig.org> Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawnguo@kernel.org>
2016-06-16ARM: dts: imx6qdl-sabresd: Use WDOG_B pin resetFabio Estevam1-0/+17
imx6qdl-sabresd has WDOG2_B pin connected to the PMIC. Pass the 'fsl,ext-reset-output' property so that the watchdog can trigger a system POR reset via the PMIC. Signed-off-by: Fabio Estevam <fabio.estevam@nxp.com> Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawnguo@kernel.org>
2016-06-11ARM: dts: imx6qdl-sabresd: Pass the correct PCI reset polarityFabio Estevam1-1/+1
The PCI reset GPIO is active low, so represent it with the GPIO_ACTIVE_LOW flag. Even though the imx6 PCI driver will not take the polarity into account in this case, it is better to provide a correct description in device-tree. 2016-04-13ARM: dts: imx6qdl-sabresd: Pass the hannstar panel compatible stringFabio Estevam1-13/+17
It is preferred to use the panel compatible string rather than passing the LCD timings in the device tree. So pass the "hannstar,hsd100pxn1" compatible string to describe the LVDS panel on this board. Signed-off-by: Fabio Estevam <fabio.estevam@nxp.com> Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawnguo@kernel.org>
2016-02-29ARM: dts: imx: Add basic dts support for imx6qp SOCBai Ping1-0/+1
The i.MX6Quad Plus processor is an high performance SOC of i.MX6 family. It has enhanced graphics performance and increased overall memory bandwidth compared to i.MX6Q. Most of the design are same as i.MX6Quad/Dual, so code for i.MX6Quad can be resued by this chip. The revision number is identied as i.MX6Q Rev2.0, but actually it is a new chip, as we did many change to the overall architecture. This patch adds basic dtsi file support for the new i.MX6Quad Plus processor. Signed-off-by: Bai Ping <ping.bai@nxp.com> Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawnguo@kernel.org>
2016-02-29ARM: dts: imx: replace legacy wakeup property with 'wakeup-source'Sudeep Holla1-3/+3
Though the keyboard and other driver will continue to support the legacy "gpio-key,wakeup", "linux, wakeup" and "enable-sdio-wakeup" boolean property to enable the wakeup source, "wakeup-source" is the new standard binding. This patch replaces all the legacy wakeup properties with the unified "wakeup-source" property in order to avoid any futher copy-paste duplication. git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc Pull ARM DT updates from Olof Johansson: "Ladies and gentlemen, we proudly announce to you the latest branch of ARM device tree contents for the mainline kernel. Come and see, come and see! No less than twentythree thousand lines of additions! Just imagine the joy you will have of using your mainline kernel on newly supported hardware such as Rockchip Chromebooks, Freescale i.MX6UL boards or UniPhier hardware! For those of you feeling less adventurous, added hardware support on platforms such as TI DM814x and Gumstix Overo platforms might be more of your liking. We've got something for everyone here! Ahem. Cough. So, anyway... This is the usual large batch of DT updates. Lots and lots of smaller changes, some of the larger ones to point out are: - Rockchip veyron (Chromebook) support, as well as several other new boards - DRM support on Atmel AT91SAM9N12EK - USB additions on some Allwinner platforms - Mediatek MT6580 support - Freescale i.MX6UL support - cleanups for Renesas shmobile platforms - lots of added devices on LPC18xx - lots of added devices and boards on UniPhier There's also some dependent code added here, in particular some branches that are primarily merged through the clock tree" * tag 'armsoc-dt' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc: (389 commits) ARM: tegra: Add gpio-ranges property ARM: tegra: Fix AHB base address on Tegra20, Tegra30 and Tegra114 ARM: tegra: Add Tegra124 PMU support ARM: tegra: jetson-tk1: Add GK20A GPU DT node ARM: tegra: venice2: Add GK20A GPU DT node ARM: tegra: Add IOMMU node to GK20A ARM: tegra: Add CPU regulator to the Jetson TK1 device tree ARM: tegra: Add entries for cpufreq on Tegra124 ARM: tegra: Enable the DFLL on the Jetson TK1 ARM: tegra: Add the DFLL to Tegra124 device tree ARM: dts: zynq: Add devicetree entry for Xilinx Zynq reset controller. 2015-08-11ARM: dts: imx6qdl-sabresd: Allow HDMI and LVDS to work simultaneouslyFabio Estevam1-0/+7
Currently it is not possible to have HDMI and LVDS working simultaneously, because both ports try to use PLL5. Move the LVDS clock parent to PLL3_USB_OTG, so that HDMI and LVDS can be driven from independent sources. With this change the LDB pixel clock goes to 68.57 MHz, which is still within the valid range for the HSD100PXN1 LVDS panel. git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc Pull ARM SoC DT updates from Arnd Bergmann: "The DT branch adds a lot of new stuff for additional SoC and board support. The branch is the largest one and contains 513 out of the total 972 non-merge arm-soc changesets for 3.19. Most of the changes are about enabling additional on-chip devices for existing machines, but there are also an unusual number of new SoC types being added this time: - AMLogic Meson8 - ARM Realview in DT mode - Allwinner A80 - Broadcom BCM47081 - Broadcom Cygnus - Freescale LS1021A - Freescale Vybrid 500 series - Mediatek MT6592, MT8127, MT8135 - STMicroelectronics STiH410 - Samsung Exynos4415 The level of support for the above differs widely, some are just stubs with nothing more than CPU, memory and a UART, but others are fairly complete. 2014-09-16ARM: dts: imx6qdl-sabresd: Configure the pins locallyFabio Estevam1-13/+13
Passing '0x80000000' to the pin configuration means that kernel will skip the IOMUXC_SW_PAD_CTL configuration and will use whathever values come from the bootloader. Instead of relying on the bootloader setup, let's configure it in the kernel to have predictable settings. '0x1b0b0' is the default POR value for all these pins and has also been verified that the pins are using this value by manually inspecting the IOMUXC_SW_PAD_CTL registers, so no functional change has been made. 2014-09-16ARM: dts: imx6qdl-sabresd: add always on pcie regulatorLucas Stach1-0/+19
Everything in the PCI specification assumes devices to be enumerable on startup. This is only possible if they have power available. A future improvement may allow this regulator to be switched off for D3hot and D3cold power states, but there is a lot of work to do the pcie host controller side for this to work. To keep things simple always enable the regulator for now. Signed-off-by: Lucas Stach <l.stach@pengutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawn.guo@freescale.com>
2014-07-18ARM: dts: imx: remove ssi fsl, mode for audio cardsMarkus Pargmann1-1/+0
The DAI mode is and should be configured by the sound card driver as codec and ssi have to be in the right modes to communicate with each other. It is possible to operate the ssi unit or the codec in master mode, sometimes even on the same board in different configurations. With the latest changes in the fsl-ssi driver, the 'fsl, mode' property is only handled as a fallback property. If the sound card sets the DAI mode correctly, this fallback configuration is dropped. 2014-02-09ARM: dts: imx: specify the value of audmux pinctrl instead of 0x80000000Nicolin Chen1-4/+4
We must specify the value of audmux pinctrl if we want to use pinctrl_pm(). Thus change bypass value 0x80000000 to what we exactly need. This patch also seperately unset PUE bit for TXD so that IOMUX won't pull up/down the pin after turning into tristate. When we use SSI normal mode to playback monaural audio via I2S signal, there'd be a pulled curve occur to its signal at the second slot if setting PUE bit for TXD. And it will make the second channel to play a constant noise. So by keeping the signal level in the second slot, we can get a constant high level signal (-1) or a low level one (0). 2014-02-09ARM: dts: imx6: use generic node name for fixed regulatorShawn Guo1-3/+8

2014-02-09ARM: dts: imx6qdl: make pinctrl nodes board specificShawn Guo1-11/+112
Currently, all pinctrl setting nodes are defined in <soc>.dtsi, so that boards that share the same pinctrl setting do not have to define it time and time again in <board>.dts. However, along with the devices and use cases being added continuously, the pinctrl setting nodes under iomuxc becomes more than expected. This bloats device tree blob for particular board unnecessarily since only a small subset of those pinctrl setting nodes will be used by the board. It impacts not only the DTB file size but also the run-time device tree lookup efficiency. The patch moves all the pinctrl data into individual boards as needed. With the changes, the pinctrl setting nodes becomes local to particular board, and it makes no sense to continue numbering the setting for given peripheral. Thus, all the pinctrl phandler name gets updated to have only peripheral name in there. Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawn.guo@linaro.org>

2013-08-22ARM: dts: imx: share pad macro names between imx6q and imx6dlShawn Guo1-0/+19
The imx6q and imx6dl are two pin-to-pin compatible SoCs. The same board design can work with either chip plugged into the socket, e.g. sabresd and sabreauto boards. We currently define pin groups in imx6q.dtsi and imx6dl.dtsi respectively because the pad macro names are different between two chips. This brings a maintenance burden on having the same label point to the same pin group defined in two places. The patch replaces prefix MX6Q_ and MX6DL_ with MX6QDL_ for both SoCs pad macro names. Then the pin groups becomes completely common between imx6q and imx6dl and can just be moved into imx6qdl.dtsi, so that the long term maintenance of imx6q/dt pin settings becomes easier. Unfortunately, the change brings some dramatic diff stat, but it's all about DTS file, and the ultimate net diff stat is good. Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawn.guo@linaro.org>
