2023-06-21ARM: dts: Move .dts files to vendor sub-directoriesRob Herring1-637/+0
The arm dts directory has grown to 1559 boards which makes it a bit unwieldy to maintain and use. Past attempts stalled out due to plans to move .dts files out of the kernel tree. Doing that is no longer planned (any time soon at least), so let's go ahead and group .dts files by vendors. This move aligns arm with arm64 .dts file structure. There's no change to dtbs_install as the flat structure is maintained on install. The naming of vendor directories is roughly in this order of preference: - Matching original and current SoC vendor prefix/name (e.g. ti, qcom) - Current vendor prefix/name if still actively sold (SoCs which have been aquired) (e.g. nxp/imx) - Existing platform name for older platforms not sold/maintained by any company (e.g. gemini, nspire) The whole move was scripted with the exception of MAINTAINERS and a few makefile fixups. 2020-07-13ARM: dts: imx: default to #pwm-cells = <3> in the SoC dtsi filesUwe Kleine-König1-4/+4
The imx-pwm driver supports 3 cells and this is the more flexible setting. So use it by default and overwrite it back to two for the files that reference the PWMs with just 2 cells to minimize changes. This allows to drop explicit setting to 3 cells for the boards that already depend on this. The boards that are now using 2 cells explicitly can be converted to 3 individually. 2017-01-24ARM: dts: imx: Pass 'chosen' and 'memory' nodesFabio Estevam1-0/+8
Commit 7f107887d199 ("ARM: dts: imx: Remove skeleton.dtsi") causes boot issues when the bootloader does not create a 'chosen' node if such node is not present in the dtb. The reason for the boot failure is well explained by Javier Martinez Canillas: "the decompressor relies on a pre-existing chosen node to be available to insert the command line and merge other ATAGS info." , so pass an empty 'chosen' node to fix the boot problem. This issue has been seen in the kernelci reports with Barebox as bootloader. Also pass the 'memory' node in order to fix boot issues on the SolidRun iMX6 platforms. 2017-01-10ARM: dts: imx25.dtsi: DryIce security violation interruptMartin Kaiser1-1/+1
The DryIce block on i.MX25 chipset uses two interrupts: A normal and a security violation interrupt. Add the security violation interrupt to the list, it is optional. Signed-off-by: Martin Kaiser <martin@kaiser.cx> Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawnguo@kernel.org>
2017-01-02ARM: dts: imx: Adjust CPU nodesFabio Estevam1-2/+3
Make CPU nodes consistent throughout the i.MX dts files, which also matches the description from ePAPR spec. This also fixes the following W=1 warning in some cases: Warning (unit_address_vs_reg): Node /cpus/cpu@0 has a unit name, but no reg property Signed-off-by: Fabio Estevam <fabio.estevam@nxp.com> Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawnguo@kernel.org>
2016-11-14ARM: dts: imx: Remove skeleton.dtsiFabio Estevam1-1/+3
As explained by commit 9c0da3cc61f1233c ("ARM: dts: explicitly mark skeleton.dtsi as deprecated"), including skeleton.dtsi is deprecated. This fixes the following warning with W=1: Warning (unit_address_vs_reg): Node /memory has a reg or ranges property, but no unit name Signed-off-by: Fabio Estevam <fabio.estevam@nxp.com> Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawnguo@kernel.org>

2016-02-29ARM: dts: imx25.dtsi: change the clock information for usbPeter Chen1-4/+4
For imx25, it needs three clocks to let the controller work, the old code is wrong, and usbmisc has not included clock handling code any more. Tested-by: Fabio Estevam <fabio.estevam@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Peter Chen <peter.chen@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawnguo@kernel.org>

2015-12-22ARM: dts: imx25: add alias for pwm nodesMarc Kleine-Budde1-0/+4
This, together with the corresponding patch to pwm-imx.c, allows to order the pwm devices correctly. Signed-off-by: Marc Kleine-Budde <mkl@pengutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawnguo@kernel.org>
2015-04-27ARM: dts: imx25: Add #pwm-cells to pwm4Markus Pargmann1-0/+1
The property '#pwm-cells' is currently missing. It is not possible to use pwm4 without this property. 2015-01-20ARM: dts: imx25: Fix PWM "per" clocksFabio Estevam1-4/+4
Currently PWM functionality is broken on mx25 due to the wrong assignment of the PWM "per" clock. According to Documentation/devicetree/bindings/clock/imx25-clock.txt: pwm_ipg_per 52 ,so update the pwm "per" to use 'pwm_ipg_per' instead of 'per10' clock. With this change PWM can work fine on mx25. 2014-12-29ARM: dts: imx25: Fix the SPI1 clocksFabio Estevam1-1/+1
From Documentation/devicetree/bindings/clock/imx25-clock.txt: cspi1_ipg 78 cspi2_ipg 79 cspi3_ipg 80 , so fix the SPI1 clocks accordingly to avoid a kernel hang when trying to access SPI1.
