2022-09-27docs/conf.py: Respect env variable SPHINX_IMGMATHAkira Yokosawa1-2/+14
On some distros with coarse-grained packaging policy, dvipng is installed along with latex. In such cases, math rendering will use imgmath by default. It is possible to override the choice by specifying the option string of "-D html_math_renderer='mathjax'" to sphinx-build (Sphinx >= 1.8). To provide developers an easier-to-use knob, add code for an env variable "SPHINX_IMGMATH" which overrides the automatic choice of math renderer for html docs. 2022-09-27docs/conf.py: Treat mathjax as fallback math rendererAkira Yokosawa1-1/+26
Currently, math expressions using the "math::" directive or the ":math:" role of Sphinx need the imgmath extension for proper rendering in html and epub builds. imgmath requires dvipng (and latex). Otherwise, "make htmldocs" will complain of missing commands. As a matter of fact, the mathjax extension is loaded by default since Sphinx v1.8 and it is good enough for html docs without any dependency on texlive packages. Stop loading the imgmath extension for html docs unless requirements for imgmath are met. To find out whether required commands are available, add a helper find_command(), which is a wrapper of shutil.which(). For epub docs, keep the same behavior of always loading imgmath. In some use cases[1], the backend is created while the frontend doesn't support the persistent grants feature, but later the frontend can be changed to support the feature and reconnect. In the past, 'blkback' enabled the persistent grants feature since it unconditionally checked if frontend supports the persistent grants feature for every connect ('connect_ring()') and decided whether it should use persistent grans or not. However, commit aac8a70db24b ("xen-blkback: add a parameter for disabling of persistent grants") has mistakenly changed the behavior. It made the frontend feature support check to not be repeated once it shown the 'feature_persistent' as 'false', or the frontend doesn't support persistent grants. Similar behavioral change has made on 'blkfront' by commit 74a852479c68 ("xen-blkfront: add a parameter for disabling of persistent grants"). This commit changes the behavior of the parameter to make effect for every connect, so that the previous behavior of 'blkfront' can be restored. Fix device tree schema validation error messages for the SiFive Unmatched: ' cache-sets:0:0: 1024 was expected'. The existing bindings allow for just 1024 cache-sets but the fu740 on Unmatched the has 2048 cache-sets. The ISA itself permits any arbitrary power of two, however this is not supported by dt-schema. The RTL for the IP, to which the number of cache-sets is a tunable parameter, has been released publicly so speculatively adding a small number of "reasonable" values seems unwise also. Instead, as the binding only supports two distinct controllers: add 2048 and explicitly lock it to the fu740's l2 cache while limiting 1024 to the l2 cache on the fu540.
