2011-08-29[media] omap3isp: ccdc: Use generic frame sync event instead of private ↵Sakari Ailus1-4/+5
HS_VS event The ccdc block in the omap3isp produces events whenever it starts receiving a new frame. A private HS_VS event was used for this previously. Now, the generic V4L2_EVENT_FRAME_SYNC event is being used for the purpose. This patch also provides the frame sequence number to user space. 2011-03-22[media] v4l: Add a media_device pointer to the v4l2_device structureLaurent Pinchart1-5/+12
The pointer will later be used to register/unregister media entities when registering/unregistering a v4l2_subdev or a video_device. With the introduction of media devices, device drivers need to store a pointer to a driver-specific structure in the device's drvdata. v4l2_device can't claim ownership of the drvdata anymore. To maintain compatibility with drivers that rely on v4l2_device storing a pointer to itself in the device's drvdata, v4l2_device_register() will keep doing so if the drvdata is NULL. 2010-10-23[media] Support for Elgato Video CaptureAdrian Taylor1-1/+2
This patch allows this device successfully to show video, at least from its composite input. I have no information about the true hardware contents of this device and so this patch is based solely on fiddling with things until it worked. The chip appears to be em2860, and the closest device with equivalent inputs is the Typhoon DVD Maker. Copying the settings for that device appears to do the trick. That's what this patch does.
