Merge series from Maud Spierings <maudspierings@gocontroll.com>: Add inital support for 2 variants of the Moduline Display controller module slot. This system is powered by the Ka-Ro Electronics tx8p-ml81 COM, which features an imx8mp SoC.
2025-03-14ASoC: sun4i-codec: add headphone dectection forMark Brown1-0/+6
Merge series from Ryan Walklin <ryan@testtoast.com>: Hi All, V3 of this patch adding headphone jack detection support to the Anbernic RGnnXX series of handhelds. V3 corrects my misunderstanding of derivation of ALSA UCM file paths, and adds recieved Reviewed-by and Tested-by tags. Thanks to those that have reviewed and fed back on previous versions. Original message below: This series adds the required device tree bindings to describe GPIOs for jack detection in the sun4i-codec driver, adds support for jack detection to the codec machine driver, and describes the hardware configuration in the RG35XX DTS. The existing speaker amplifier GPIO pin can then be used in concert with jack detection to enable userspace sound servers (via an ALSA UCM configuration) to disable the speaker route when headphones are connected. Thanks to Chris Morgan for his assistance putting this series together. 2025-03-14dt-bindings: remoteproc: Add SM8750 MPSSKrzysztof Kozlowski1-0/+17
Add remote processor PAS loader for SM8750 MPSS (modem). Device looks fully compatible with SM8650, however it lacks fifth memory region for Qlink Logging, according to downstream sources. This is a bit tricky, because updated downstream sources for newer downstream release dropped that fifth memory region as well. There might be other differences against SM8650, because the modem currently crashes after starting. 2025-03-14dt-bindings: connector: Add the GOcontroll Moduline module slot bindingsMaud Spierings1-0/+88
Add the bindings that describe a GOcontroll Moduline module slot. This slot provides all the interfaces to interface with a Moduline compatible IO module. The actual module is not reasonable to describe as it can be swapped at will, with this connector the driver will be able to probe for a module on boot. The connector consists of 2 parts, one part for interfacing with the SoC and main board, the other part has 13 IO channels for the module to interact with the outside world. The functions of these IO channels are determined by the type of module in the slot. The IO on the SoC side is as follows: - a 3v3 supply, this tends to be the logic level of the module and its microcontroller - a 5v0 supply, this can be used to power low power peripherals on the module - a 6v-8v supply, this can be used for high power peripherals on the module - a 6v-30v supply, this tends to be a dirty supply that comes from the controller supply after some circuit protection, or is the same as the 6v-8v supply. - an SPI bus which carries the communication between the SoC and the microcontroller on the module. - an I2C bus shared between the SoC and all module slots which can carry direct module-to-module communication. - a reset line - an interrupt line that indicates a clear to transmit signal - a sync line shared between the SoC and all module slots which could be used to synchronize modules for time sensitive IO spread across modules. - a SMBus alert line that is shared between the modules but is not connected to the SoC so that is ignored. A slot-number property is used to identify the physical location of a module slot. Without it, it would be impossible to identify which module to control if there are multiple of one type, to address the desired IO. 2025-03-13dt-bindings: dsp: fsl, dsp: Add resets propertyDaniel Baluta1-1/+23
Assert and deassert functionality of the DSP found on i.MX8MP is realized by combining control bits from two modules: Audio Block Control and Debug Access Port. Audio block control bits are used to Run/Stall the DSP core while the DAP bits are used for software reset the core. The original plan was to use fsl,dsp-ctrl property and to refer the audiomix bits via syscon interface. This proposal received NACK from community we shouldn't abuse the syscon interface [1]. So remove fsl,dsp-ctrl property for i.MX8MP and use reset control interface instead. Example dts node only uses runstall control now, but softreset will be added in the future when we will convert the softreset functionality to use reset controller API. 2025-03-13dt-bindings: pinctrl: add compatible for Allwinner A523/T527Andre Przywara1-0/+175
The A523 contains a pin controller similar to previous SoCs, although using 10 GPIO banks (PortB-PortK), all of them being IRQ capable. With this SoC we introduce a new style of binding, where the pinmux values for each pin group are stored in the new "allwinner, pinmux" property in the DT node, instead of requiring every driver to store a mapping between the function names and the required pinmux. Add a new binding file, since all the different variants of the old binding are making the file a bit unwieldy to handle already, and the new property would make the situation worse. 2025-03-13dt-bindings: net: rockchip-dwmac: Require rockchip, grf and rockchip,php-grfJonas Karlman1-3/+18
All Rockchip GMAC variants typically write to GRF regs to control e.g. interface mode, speed and MAC rx/tx delay. Newer SoCs such as RK3562, RK3576 and RK3588 use a mix of GRF and peripheral GRF regs. Prior to the commit b331b8ef86f0 ("dt-bindings: net: convert rockchip-dwmac to json-schema") the property rockchip, grf was listed under "Required properties". During the conversion this was lost and rockchip, grf has since then incorrectly been treated as optional and not as required. Similarly, when rockchip,php-grf was added to the schema in the commit a2b77831427c ("dt-bindings: net: rockchip-dwmac: add rk3588 gmac compatible") it also incorrectly has been treated as optional for all GMAC variants, when it should have been required for RK3588, and later also for RK3576. Update this binding to require rockchip, grf and rockchip,php-grf to properly reflect that GRF (and peripheral GRF for RK3576/RK3588) is required to control part of GMAC. This should not introduce any breakage as all Rockchip GMAC nodes have been added together with a rockchip, grf phandle (and rockchip,php-grf where required) in their initial commit. The SD/MMC block on the RZ/G3E ("R9A09G047") SoC is similar to that of the RZ/V2H, but the SD0 channel has only dedicated pins, so we must use SD_STATUS register to control voltage and power enable (internal regulator), for non-fixed voltage (SD) MMC interface. However, it is optional for fixed voltage MMC interface (eMMC). For SD1 and SD2 channels, we can either use gpio regulator or internal regulator (using SD_STATUS register) for voltage switching. Document RZ/G3E SDHI IP support with optional internal regulator for both RZ/G3E and RZ/V2H SoC. 2025-03-12dt-bindings: clk: sunxi-ng: document two Allwinner A523 CCUsAndre Przywara1-0/+103
The Allwinner A523/T527 SoCs have four CCUs, this adds the binding for the main and the PRCM R-CCU. The source clock list differs in some annoying details, and folding this into the existing Allwinner CCU clock binding document gets quite unwieldy, so create a new document for these CCUs. Add the new compatible string, along with the required input clock lists. This conditionally describes the input clock lists, to make adding support for the other two CCUs easier. Also add the DT binding headers, listing all the clocks with their ID numbers. 2025-03-11dt-bindings: mmc: mmc-slot: Make compatible property optionalDharma Balasubiramani2-1/+3
The compatible property is required for some vendor-specific device trees, such as Amlogic's meson-mx-sdio, but is unnecessary for others, like Microchip's DTS. To resolve unintended warnings for configurations that do not require it, remove compatible from the required properties in mmc-slot.yaml. Since meson-mx-sdio still requires compatible, explicitly add it to its required list in amlogic,meson-mx-sdio.yaml. Unevaluated property mmc-controller.yaml is common schema file. According to writing-schema.rst, * additionalProperties: true Rare case, used for schemas implementing common set of properties. Such schemas are supposed to be referenced by other schemas, which then use 'unevaluatedProperties: false'. Typically bus or common-part schemas. Reproduce steps: 1. Add unevaluated property 'abc' at example of fsl-imx-esdhc.yaml 2. Run make dt_binding_check DT_SCHEMA_FILES=fsl-imx-esdhc.yaml No any warning report.
