2014-09-03video: fix composite video connector compatible stringTomi Valkeinen1-2/+2
The quite-recently-added analog-tv-connector bindings say that the compatible string for composite video connector is "composite-connector". That string is also used in the omap3-n900.dts file. However, the connector driver uses "composite-video-connector", so this has never worked. While changing the driver's compatible string to "composite-connector" would be safer, as published DT bindings should not be changed, I'd rather fix the bindings in this case for two reasons: * composite-connector is a bit too generic name, as it doesn't even hint at video. * it's clear that this has never worked, which means no one has used those bindings, which should make it safe to change this. git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc Pull ARM SoC cleanups from Olof Johansson: "This merge window brings a good size of cleanups on various platforms. Among the bigger ones: - Removal of Samsung s5pc100 and s5p64xx platforms. Both of these have lacked active support for quite a while, and after asking around nobody showed interest in keeping them around. If needed, they could be resurrected in the future but it's more likely that we would prefer reintroduction of them as DT and multiplatform-enabled platforms instead. - OMAP4 controller code register define diet. They defined a lot of registers that were never actually used, etc. - Move of some of the Tegra platform code (PMC, APBIO, fuse, powergate) to drivers/soc so it can be shared with 64-bit code. This also converts them over to traditional driver models where possible. - Removal of legacy gpio-samsung driver, since the last users have been removed (moved to pinctrl) Plus a bunch of smaller changes for various platforms that sort of dissapear in the diffstat for the above. clps711x cleanups, shmobile header file refactoring/moves for multiplatform friendliness, some misc cleanups, etc" * tag 'cleanup-for-3.17' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc: (117 commits) drivers: CCI: Correct use of ! and & video: clcd-versatile: Depend on ARM video: fix up versatile CLCD helper move MAINTAINERS: Add sdhci-st file to ARCH/STI architecture ARM: EXYNOS: Fix build breakge with PM_SLEEP=n MAINTAINERS: Remove Kirkwood ARM: tegra: Convert PMC to a driver soc/tegra: fuse: Set up in early initcall ARM: tegra: Always lock the CPU reset vector ARM: tegra: Setup CPU hotplug in a pure initcall soc/tegra: Implement runtime check for Tegra SoCs soc/tegra: fuse: fix dummy functions soc/tegra: fuse: move APB DMA into Tegra20 fuse driver soc/tegra: Add efuse and apbmisc bindings soc/tegra: Add efuse driver for Tegra ARM: tegra: move fuse exports to soc/tegra/fuse.h ARM: tegra: export apb dma readl/writel ARM: tegra: Use a function to get the chip ID ARM: tegra: Sort includes alphabetically ARM: tegra: Move includes to include/soc/tegra ...

2014-08-03drm/exynos: hdmi: enable exynos 4210 and 4x12 soc supportMarek Szyprowski1-2/+3
Configuration sets for Exynos 4210 and 4x12 SoC were already defined in Exynos HDMI and Mixed drivers, but they lacked proper linking to device tree 'compatible' values. This patch fixes this issue adding support for following compatible values: samsung,exynos4210-mixer, samsung,exynos4212-mixer and samsung,exynos4210-hdmi. 2014-06-01drm/exynos: use regmap interface to set hdmiphy control bit in pmuRahul Sharma1-0/+2
Exynos drm hdmi driver used to get dummy hdmiphy clock to control the PMU bit for hdmiphy. This bit needs to be set before setting any resolution to hdmi hardware. This was handled using dummy hdmiphy clock which is removed here. PMU is already defined as system controller for exynos SoCs. Hdmi driver is modified to control the phy enable bit inside PMU using regmap interfaces. Devicetree binding document for hdmi is also updated. 2014-06-01drm/exynos: dp: support hotplug detection via GPIOAndrew Bresticker1-0/+4
Certain bridge chips use a GPIO to indicate the cable status instead of the I_DP_HPD pin. This adds an optional device-tree property, "samsung,hpd-gpio", to the exynos-dp controller which indicates that the specified GPIO should be used for hotplug detection. The GPIO is then set up as an edge-triggered interrupt where the rising edge indicates hotplug-in and the falling edge indicates hotplug-out. There are also a few commits that have changes to arch/arm/mach-at91 and arch/avr32, which have been acked by the maintainers" * tag 'fbdev-3.13' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/tomba/linux: (143 commits) fb: reorder the lock sequence to fix potential dead lock fbdev: shmobile-lcdcfb: Convert to clk_prepare/unprepare fbdev: shmobile-hdmi: Convert to clk_prepare/unprepare omapdss: Add new panel driver for Topolly td028ttec1 LCD. video: exynos_mipi_dsi: Unlock the mutex before returning video: da8xx-fb: remove unwanted define video: Remove unnecessary semicolons simplefb: use write-combined remapping simplefb: fix unmapping fb during destruction OMAPDSS: connector-dvi: fix releasing i2c_adapter OMAPDSS: DSI: fix perf measuring ifdefs framebuffer: Use fb_<level> framebuffer: Add fb_<level> convenience logging macros efifb: prevent null-deref when iterating dmi_list fbdev: fix error return code in metronomefb_probe() video: xilinxfb: Fix for "Use standard variable name convention" OMAPDSS: Fix de_level in videomode_to_omap_video_timings() video: xilinxfb: Simplify error path video: xilinxfb: Use devm_kzalloc instead of kzalloc video: xilinxfb: Use standard variable name convention ...
2013-11-13backlight: lp855x_bl: support new LP8555 deviceMilo Kim1-1/+28
LP8555 is one of the LP855x family devices. This device needs pre_init_device() and post_init_device() driver structure. It's same as LP8557, so the device configuration code is shared with LP8557. Backlight outputs are generated from dual DC-DC boost converters. It's configurable EPROM settings which are defined in the platform data. Driver documentation and device tree bindings are updated. git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc Pull ARM SoC DT updates from Olof Johansson: "Most of this branch consists of updates, additions and general churn of the device tree source files in the kernel (arch/arm/boot/dts). Besides that, there are a few things to point out: - Lots of platform conversion on OMAP2+, with removal of old board files for various platforms. - Final conversion of a bunch of ux500 (ST-Ericsson) platforms as well - Some updates to pinctrl and other subsystems. Most of these are for DT-enablement of the various platforms and acks have been collected" * tag 'dt-for-linus' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc: (385 commits) ARM: dts: bcm11351: Use GIC/IRQ defines for sdio interrupts ARM: dts: bcm: Add missing UARTs for bcm11351 (bcm281xx) ARM: dts: bcm281xx: Add card detect GPIO ARM: dts: rename ARCH_BCM to ARCH_BCM_MOBILE (dt) ARM: bcm281xx: Add device node for the GPIO controller ARM: mvebu: Add Netgear ReadyNAS 104 board ARM: tegra: fix Tegra114 IOMMU register address ARM: kirkwood: add support for OpenBlocks A7 platform ARM: dts: omap4-panda: add DPI pinmuxing ARM: dts: AM33xx: Add RNG node ARM: dts: AM33XX: Add hwspinlock node ARM: dts: OMAP5: Add hwspinlock node ARM: dts: OMAP4: Add hwspinlock node ARM: dts: use 'status' property for PCIe nodes ARM: dts: sirf: add missed address-cells and size-cells for prima2 I2C ARM: dts: sirf: add missed cell, cs and dma channel for SPI nodes ARM: dts: sirf: add missed graphics2d iobg in atlas6 dts ARM: dts: sirf: add missed chhifbg node in prima2 and atlas6 dts ARM: dts: sirf: add missed memcontrol-monitor node in prima2 and atlas6 dts ARM: mvebu: Add the core-divider clock to Armada 370/XP ...
