2021-05-13dt-bindings: serial: Change to reference the kernel-defined serial.yamlZhen Lei1-1/+1
The /schemas/serial.yaml from dt-schema only has the property $nodename, whereas the kernel-defined /schemas/serial/serial.yaml contains more useful properties, support for more complex application scenarios. For example: 1) The property "current-speed" in fsl-lx2160a.dtsi 2) The subnode "bluetooth" in hi3660-hikey960.dts Reviewed-by: Rob Herring <robh@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Zhen Lei <thunder.leizhen@huawei.com> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20210506132049.1513-2-thunder.leizhen@huawei.com Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>

add "rockchip,rk3568-uart", "snps,dw-apb-uart" for uart nodes on a rk3568 platform to snps-dw-apb-uart.yaml. 2020-10-07dt-bindings: Add missing 'unevaluatedProperties'Rob Herring1-0/+2
This doesn't yet do anything in the tools, but make it explicit so we can check either 'unevaluatedProperties' or 'additionalProperties' is present in schemas. 'unevaluatedProperties' is appropriate when including another schema (via '$ref') and all possible properties and/or child nodes are not explicitly listed in the schema with the '$ref'. This is in preparation to add a meta-schema to check for missing 'unevaluatedProperties' or 'additionalProperties'. This has been a constant source of review issues. 2020-03-10dt-bindings: serial: snps-dw-apb-uart: add compatible property for rk3308 uartJohan Jonker1-0/+1
A test with the command below gives these errors: arch/arm64/boot/dts/rockchip/rk3308-evb.dt.yaml: serial@ff0d0000: compatible: ['rockchip,rk3308-uart', 'snps,dw-apb-uart'] is not valid under any of the given schemas arch/arm64/boot/dts/rockchip/rk3308-roc-cc.dt.yaml: serial@ff0a0000: compatible: ['rockchip,rk3308-uart', 'snps,dw-apb-uart'] is not valid under any of the given schemas The compatible property for the Rockchip rk3308 uart was somehow never added to the documention. Fix this error by adding 'rockchip,rk3308-uart' to snps-dw-apb-uart.yaml. make ARCH=arm64 dtbs_check DT_SCHEMA_FILES=Documentation/devicetree/bindings/serial/ snps-dw-apb-uart.yaml Signed-off-by: Johan Jonker <jbx6244@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Rob Herring <robh@kernel.org>
2019-01-18dt-bindings: serial: Move renesas,rzn1-uart into the snps-dw-apb-uart bindingRob Herring1-0/+5
The renesas,rzn1-uart binding only differs in compatible string from the snps-dw-apb-uart binding. Move it there, converting it to json-schema in the process.
