2021-06-14dt-bindings: mmc: Clean-up examples to match documented bindingsRob Herring1-18/+2
The "sdhci" compatible is not documented though used as a fallback in a few cases. It is also not supported by a Linux driver. Just remove the example as part of ridding examples of undocumented bindings. The "brcm,bcm43xx-fmac" compatible is also not documented. Update the example to use one of the correct ones, "brcm,bcm4329-fmac", instead and use a device class based nodename. 2021-06-14dt-bindings: mmc: add no-mmc-hs400 flagLucas Stach1-0/+5
HS400 requires a data strobe line in addition to the usual MMC signal lines. If a board design neglects to wire up this signal, HS400 mode is not available, even if both the controller and the eMMC are claiming to support this mode. Add a DT flag to allow boards to disable the HS400 support in this case. 2021-06-14dt-bindings: mmc: sdhci-am654: Remove duplicate ti,j721e-sdhci-4bitSuman Anna1-1/+0
The commit 7c7905df68c5 ("dt-bindings: mmc: sdhci-am654: fix compatible for j7200") switched the compatible property from a regular enum to an more appropriate combinatorial oneOf convention, and in the process has introduced a duplicate ti,j721e-sdhci-4bit. This generated the following warning on J721E boards that use the ti,j721e-sdhci-4bit for two nodes: "mmc@4fb0000: compatible: More than one condition true in oneOf schema" "mmc@4f98000: compatible: More than one condition true in oneOf schema" Remove the duplicate to fix this. When voltage-ranges property is not present the driver assumes that it is 3.3v (3.2v..3.4v). But at the same time it disallows polling. 2021-02-04dt-bindings: Fix errors in 'if' schemasRob Herring1-1/+1
Properties in if/then schemas weren't getting checked by the meta-schemas. Enabling meta-schema checks finds several errors. The use of an 'items' schema (as opposed to the list form) is wrong in some cases as it applies to all entries. 'contains' is the correct schema to use in the case of multiple entries. 2021-01-12dt-bindings: Add missing array size constraintsRob Herring1-0/+2
DT properties which can have multiple entries need to specify what the entries are and define how many entries there can be. In the case of only a single entry, just 'maxItems: 1' is sufficient. Add the missing entry constraints. These were found with a modified meta-schema. Unfortunately, there are a few cases where the size constraints are not defined such as common bindings, so the meta-schema can't be part of the normal checks. 2020-10-07dt-bindings: Add missing 'unevaluatedProperties'Rob Herring8-0/+16
This doesn't yet do anything in the tools, but make it explicit so we can check either 'unevaluatedProperties' or 'additionalProperties' is present in schemas. 'unevaluatedProperties' is appropriate when including another schema (via '$ref') and all possible properties and/or child nodes are not explicitly listed in the schema with the '$ref'. This is in preparation to add a meta-schema to check for missing 'unevaluatedProperties' or 'additionalProperties'. This has been a constant source of review issues.
