Device tree binding for AMS/TAOS tsl2591 ambient light sensor. This driver supports configuration via device tree and sysfs. Supported channels for raw infrared light intensity, raw combined light intensity and illuminance in lux. The driver additionally supports iio events on lower and upper thresholds. This is a very-high sensitivity light-to-digital converter that transforms light intensity into a digital signal. 2021-03-24dt-bindings: Clean-up undocumented compatible stringsRob Herring1-2/+2
Adding checks for undocumented compatible strings reveals a bunch of warnings in the DT binding examples. Fix the cases which are typos, just a mismatch between the schema and the example, or aren't documented at all. In a couple of cases, fixing the compatible revealed some schema errors which are fixed. There's a bunch of others remaining after this which have bindings, but those aren't converted to schema yet. 2020-12-19dt-bindings: Fix JSON pointersRob Herring1-1/+1
The correct syntax for JSON pointers begins with a '/' after the '#'. Without a '/', the string should be interpreted as a subschema identifier. The jsonschema module currently doesn't handle subschema identifiers and incorrectly allows JSON pointers to begin without a '/'. Let's fix this before it becomes a problem when jsonschema module is fixed. I'm not sure anyone would use this part primarily as an ALS, given the time of flight laser also present, but I'll stick with the original decision on where to put the binding. Added interrupts property as the device has a GPIO interrupt even if the driver is not currently using it. The correct form was to put a '$ref' under an 'allOf'. This behavior is now changed in the 2019-09 json-schema spec and '$ref' can be mixed with other keywords. The json-schema library doesn't yet support this, but the tooling now does a fixup for this and either way works. 2020-03-31dt-bindings: Add missing 'additionalProperties: false'Rob Herring8-0/+16
Setting 'additionalProperties: false' is frequently omitted, but is important in order to check that there aren't extra undocumented properties in a binding. Ideally, we'd just add this automatically and make this the default, but there's some cases where it doesn't work. For example, if a common schema is referenced, then properties in the common schema aren't part of what's considered for 'additionalProperties'. Also, sometimes there are bus specific properties such as 'spi-max-frequency' that go into bus child nodes, but aren't defined in the child node's schema. So let's stick with the json-schema defined default and add 'additionalProperties: false' where needed. This will be a continual review comment and game of wack-a-mole.
