<title>selftests: gpio: gpio-aggregator: add a test case for _sysfs prefix reservation</title>

The kernel doc for gpio-aggregator configfs interface, which was recently
added, states that users should not be able to create an aggregator with a
name prefixed by "_sysfs" via configfs. However, it was found that this
guard does not function as expected (thanks to Dan Carpenter for
identifying and fixing the issue).

Add a test case to verify the guard.

Add a set of tests for gpio-aggregator module. This test covers both
pre-existing new_device/delete_device interface and new configfs-based
interface.

Since upstream commit 8bd76b3d3f3a ("gpio: sim: lock up configfs that an
instantiated device depends on"), rmdir for an active virtual devices
been prohibited.

Update gpio-sim selftest to align with the change.

With the removal of the ARCH_NR_GPIOS, the number of available GPIOs
is effectively unlimited, causing the gpio-mockup module load failure
test that overflowed the number of GPIOs to unexpectedly succeed, and
so fail.

The test is no longer relevant so remove it.
Promote the "no lines defined" test so there is still one load
failure test in the basic set.

Pull gpio updates from Bartosz Golaszewski:
"We have two new drivers, some improvements to the core code, lots of
different updates to existing GPIO drivers and some dt-bindings on
  top.

There's nothing controversial in here and almost everything has been
in next for more than a week (95% a lot longer than this). The only
thing that has spent less time in next is a new driver so no risk of
  regressions.

The single merge pulls in changes that remove all usage of global GPIO
  numbers from arch/arm/mach-omap.

  Core GPIO library:
   - remove unused symbols
   - don't spam the kernel log with messages about hogs
   - remove old sysfs API cruft
   - improve handling of GPIO masks

  New drivers:
   - add a driver for the BlueField-3 GPIO controller
   - add GPIO support for the TPS65219 PMIC

  Driver improvements:
   - extend the gpio-aggregator driver to support ramp-up/ramp-down
     delay
   - remove unnecessary CONFIG_OF guards from gpio-aggregator
   - readability improvements in gpio-tangier
   - switch i2c drivers back to using probe() now that it's been
converted in the i2c subsystem to not taking the id parameter
   - remove unused inclusions of of_gpio.h in several drivers
   - make pm ops static in gpio-davinci and fix a comment
   - use more devres in drivers to shrink and simplify the code
   - add missing include in gpio-sa1100
   - add HAS_IOPORT KConfig dependency where needed
   - add permissions checks before accessing pins in gpio-tegra186
   - convert the gpio-zynq driver to using immutable irqchips
   - preserve output settings set by the bootloader in gpio-mpc8xxx

  Selftests:
   - tweak the variable naming in script tests

  Device tree updates:
   - convert gpio-mmio and gpio-stmpe to YAML
   - add parsing of GPIO hogs to gpio-vf610
   - add bindings for the Cirrus EP93xx GPIO controller
   - add gpio-line-names property to the gpio-pca9570 bindings
   - extend the binding for x-powers,axp209 with another block"

According to Mirsad the gpio-sim.sh test appears to FAIL in a wrong way
due to missing initialisation of shell variables:

 4.2. Bias settings work correctly
cat: /sys/devices/platform/gpio-sim.0/gpiochip18/sim_gpio0/value: No such file or directory
./gpio-sim.sh: line 393: test: =: unary operator expected
 bias setting does not work
 GPIO gpio-sim test FAIL

After this change the test passed:

 4.2. Bias settings work correctly
 GPIO gpio-sim test PASS

His testing environment is AlmaLinux 8.7 on Lenovo desktop box with
the latest Linux kernel based on v6.2:

  Linux 6.2.0-mglru-kmlk-andy-09238-gd2980d8d8265 x86_64

Use $(KHDR_INCLUDES) as lookup path for kernel headers. This prevents
building against kernel headers from the build environment in scenarios
where kernel headers are installed into a specific output directory
(O=...).

The latest version of grep claims the egrep is now obsolete so the build
now contains warnings that look like:
egrep: warning: egrep is obsolescent; using grep -E
fix this up by moving the related file to use "grep -E" instead.

  sed -i "s/egrep/grep -E/g" `grep egrep -rwl tools/testing/selftests/gpio`

Here are the steps to install the latest grep:

  wget http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/grep/grep-3.8.tar.gz
  tar xf grep-3.8.tar.gz
  cd grep-3.8 &amp;&amp; ./configure &amp;&amp; make
  sudo make install

When building selftests out of the kernel tree the gpio.h the include
path is incorrect and the build falls back to the system includes
which may be outdated.

Add the KHDR_INCLUDES to the CFLAGS to include the gpio.h from the
build tree.
