vfs: do bulk POLL* -> EPOLL* replacement

NOTE! On almost all architectures, the EPOLL* constants have the same values as the POLL* constants do. But they keyword here is "almost". For various bad reasons they aren't the same, and epoll() doesn't actually work quite correctly in some cases due to this on Sparc et al. Pull poll annotations from Al Viro: "This introduces a __bitwise type for POLL### bitmap, and propagates the annotations through the tree. Most of that stuff is as simple as 'make ->poll() instances return __poll_t and do the same to local variables used to hold the future return value'. Some of the obvious brainos found in process are fixed (e.g. POLLIN misspelled as POLL_IN). At that point the amount of sparse warnings is low and most of them are for genuine bugs - e.g. ->poll() instance deciding to return -EINVAL instead of a bitmap. I hadn't touched those in this series - it's large enough as it is. Another problem it has caught was eventpoll() ABI mess; select.c and eventpoll.c assumed that corresponding POLL### and EPOLL### were equal. That's true for some, but not all of them - EPOLL### are arch-independent, but POLL### are not. The last commit in this series separates userland POLL### values from the (now arch-independent) kernel-side ones, converting between them in the few places where they are copied to/from userland. AFAICS, this is the least disruptive fix preserving poll(2) ABI and making epoll() work on all architectures. As it is, it's simply broken on sparc - try to give it EPOLLWRNORM and it will trigger only on what would've triggered EPOLLWRBAND on other architectures. EPOLLWRBAND and EPOLLRDHUP, OTOH, are never triggered at all on sparc. ALSA: rawmidi: Avoid racy info ioctl via ctl device

The rawmidi also allows to obtaining the information via ioctl of ctl API. It means that user can issue an ioctl to the rawmidi device even when it's being removed as long as the control device is present. Although the code has some protection via the global register_mutex, its range is limited to the search of the corresponding rawmidi object, and the mutex is already unlocked at accessing the rawmidi object. This may lead to a use-after-free. For avoiding it, this patch widens the application of register_mutex to the whole snd_rawmidi_info_select() function. We have another mutex per rawmidi object, but this operation isn't very hot path, so it shouldn't matter from the performance POV. Cc: Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai

sched/wait: Rename wait_queue_t => wait_queue_entry_t

Rename: wait_queue_t => wait_queue_entry_t 'wait_queue_t' was always a slight misnomer: its name implies that it's a "queue", but in reality it's a queue *entry*. The 'real' queue is the wait queue head, which had to carry the name. Start sorting this out by renaming it to 'wait_queue_entry_t'. This also allows the real structure name 'struct __wait_queue' to lose its double underscore and become 'struct wait_queue_entry', which is the more canonical nomenclature for such data types. ALSA: seq: Allow the modular sequencer registration

Many drivers bind the sequencer stuff in off-load by another driver module, so that it's loaded only on demand. In the current code, this mechanism doesn't work when the driver is built-in while the sequencer is module. We check with IS_REACHABLE() and enable only when the sequencer is in the same level of build. However, this is basically a overshoot. The binder code (snd-seq-device) is an individual module from the sequencer core (snd-seq), and we just have to make the former a built-in while keeping the latter a module for allowing the scenario like the above. This patch achieves that by rewriting Kconfig slightly. Now, a driver that provides the manual sequencer device binding should select CONFIG_SND_SEQ_DEVICE in a way as select SND_SEQ_DEVICE if SND_SEQUENCER != n Note that the "!=n" is needed here to avoid the influence of the sequencer core is module while the driver is built-in. Also, since rawmidi.o may be linked with snd_seq_device.o when built-in, we have to shuffle the code to make the linker happy. (the kernel linker isn't smart enough yet to handle such a case.) That is, snd_seq_device.c is moved to sound/core from sound/core/seq, as well as Makefile. Last but not least, the patch replaces the code using IS_REACHABLE() with IS_ENABLED(), since now the condition meets always when enabled. Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai
