When building for the UM arch and neither INDIRECT_IOMEM=y, nor HAS_IOMEM=y is selected, it will fall back to the implementations from asm-generic/io.h for IO memcpy. But these fall-back functions just do a memcpy. So, instead of depending on UML, add dependency on 'HAS_IOMEM || INDIRECT_IOMEM'. Use "select" to ensure that the required kconfig symbols are set as expected. Drop HOSTAUDIO since it is now equivalent to UML_SOUND. Set CONFIG_SOUND=m in ARCH=um defconfig files to maintain the status quo of the default configs. Allow SOUND with UML regardless of HAS_IOMEM. Otherwise there is a kconfig warning for unmet dependencies. (This was not an issue when SOUND was defined in arch/um/drivers/Kconfig. I have done 50 randconfig builds and didn't find any issues.) ALSA: Enable build with UML

In order to facilitate testing using KUnit allow ALSA to build with UML, it's not super useful at runtime but that's a user problem rather than an actual dependency. The apparent reason for the dependency was the widespread use of iomem APIs in ALSA drivers, earlier patches in this series have provided stubs for these APIs so that there are no build time issues even without individual drivers having IOMEM dependencies added. mfd: remove ucb1400 support

The ucb1400 MFD driver and its gpio and touchscreen child drivers were only used on a few PXA machines that were unused for a while and are now removed. Removing these leaves the AC97 support as ALSA specific, no other drivers are now connected through this interface. ASoC: Updates for v4.15 The biggest thing this release has been the conversion of the AC98 bus to the driver model, that's been a long time coming so thanks to Robert Jarzmik for his dedication there. Due to there being some AC97 MFD there's a few fairly large changes in input and the MFD layer, mainly to the wm97xx driver. There's also some drivers/drm changes to support the new AMD Stoney platform, these are shared with the DRM subsystem and should be being merged via both. Within the subsystem the overwhelming bulk of the changes is in the Intel drivers which continue to need lots of cleanups and fixes, this release they've also gained support for their open source firmware. There's also some large changs in the core as Morimoto-san continues to mirror operations into the component level in preparation for conversion of drivers to that. - The AC97 bus has finally caught up with the driver model thanks to some dedicated and persistent work from Robert Jarzmik. - Continued work from Morimoto-san on moving us towards being able to use components for everything. - Lots of cleanups for the Intel platform code, including support for their open source audio firmware. - Support for scaling MCLK with sample rate in simple-card. - Support for AMD Stoney platform.

sound: Retire OSS

Since no complaints have been raised after disabling the build of OSS (Open Sound System) by the commit 31cbee6a5611 ("sound: Disable the build of OSS drivers"), let's finally drop the whole code and documentation. Some glue codes are still left intact since sound/oss/dmasound stuff remains -- which is an independent implementation solely for m68k, and it's not covered by ALSA yet. Also, a couple of API header files (linux/sound.h and linux/soundcard.h) are kept remaining as well, since the OSS API itself is still supported by ALSA OSS emulation, and applications can refer to these. Where we're at it, some help texts in the top-level Kconfig are adjusted, too (who still needs to specify I/O port in kbuild nowadays?). Reviewed-by: Jaroslav Kysela Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai
