[ Upstream commit bfa858f220ab8c950dd3e1310fee61950d0ecdae ]

To be able to constify instances of struct ctl_tables it is necessary to
remove ways through which non-const versions are exposed from the
sysctl core.
One of these is the ctl_table_arg member of struct ctl_table_header.

Constify this reference as a prerequisite for the full constification of
struct ctl_table instances.
No functional change.

<title>net: mpls: initialize rtm_tos in mpls_getroute()</title>

<content type='text'>
[ Upstream commit 295dd295e2137e10e9a5b1891d97e0f08de76f03 ]

mpls_getroute() builds the RTM_NEWROUTE reply to an RTM_GETROUTE
request by filling a struct rtmsg allocated from an skb whose data
area is not zeroed (alloc_skb(NLMSG_GOODSIZE, ...)). It sets every
field of the header except rtm_tos:

	r = nlmsg_data(nlh);
	r-&gt;rtm_family	 = AF_MPLS;
	r-&gt;rtm_dst_len	= 20;
	r-&gt;rtm_src_len	= 0;
	r-&gt;rtm_table	= RT_TABLE_MAIN;
	r-&gt;rtm_type	= RTN_UNICAST;
	r-&gt;rtm_scope	= RT_SCOPE_UNIVERSE;
	r-&gt;rtm_protocol = rt-&gt;rt_protocol;
	r-&gt;rtm_flags	= 0;

struct rtmsg has no padding, so the one uninitialised byte rtm_tos
(offset 3) is copied straight to user space on recvmsg(), leaking a
byte of uninitialised heap memory. This is in contrast to
mpls_dump_route(), which fills the very same header and does set
rtm_tos = 0.

Initialize rtm_tos to 0, matching mpls_dump_route().

Reproduced with KMSAN by adding an MPLS route and issuing a
non-RTM_F_FIB_MATCH RTM_GETROUTE for its label:

[ Upstream commit 56d96fededd61192cd7cc8d2b0f36adfd59036c3 ]

On CONFIG_INET=n builds, mpls_valid_fib_dump_req() walks the parsed
attribute table itself instead of calling ip_valid_fib_dump_req(). The
RTA_OIF arm passes tb[RTA_OIF] to nla_get_u32() without checking it is
present, so an RTM_GETROUTE dump for AF_MPLS with strict checking and no
RTA_OIF hits a NULL dereference.

RTM_GETROUTE is RTNL_KIND_GET, which rtnetlink_rcv_msg() permits without
CAP_NET_ADMIN, so an unprivileged user can trigger it.

Since introduced, mpls_init() has been ignoring the returned
value of rtnl_register_module(), which could fail silently.

Handling the error allows users to view a module as an all-or-nothing
thing in terms of the rtnetlink functionality. This prevents syzkaller
from reporting spurious errors from its tests, where OOM often occurs
and module is automatically loaded.

Let's handle the errors by rtnl_register_many().

First iteration of this patch made mpls_hlen signed and changed
test to error out to "mpls_hlen &lt;= 0 || ..".

 &gt; I was thinking about adding a debug check in skb_inner_network_header()
 &gt; if inner_network_header is zero (that would mean it is not 'set' yet),
 &gt; but this would trigger even after your patch.

So add new skb_inner_network_header_was_set() helper and use that.

The syzbot reproducer injects data via packet socket. The skb that gets
allocated and passed down the stack has -&gt;protocol set to NSH (0x894f)
and gso_type set to SKB_GSO_UDP | SKB_GSO_DODGY.

This gets passed to skb_mac_gso_segment(), which sees NSH as ptype to
find a callback for. nsh_gso_segment() retrieves next type:

        proto = tun_p_to_eth_p(nsh_hdr(skb)-&gt;np);

... which is MPLS (TUN_P_MPLS_UC). It updates skb-&gt;protocol and then
calls mpls_gso_segment(). Inner offsets are all 0, so mpls_gso_segment()
ends up with a negative header size.

In case more callers rely on silent handling of such large may_pull values
we could also 'legalize' this behaviour, either replacing the debug check
with (len &gt; INT_MAX) test or removing it and instead adding a comment
before existing

 if (unlikely(len &gt; skb-&gt;len))
    return SKB_DROP_REASON_PKT_TOO_SMALL;

test in pskb_may_pull_reason(), saying that this check also implicitly
takes care of callers that miscompute header sizes.

Move from register_net_sysctl to register_net_sysctl_sz for all the
networking related files. Do this while making sure to mirror the NULL
assignments with a table_size of zero for the unprivileged users.

We need to move to the new function in preparation for when we change
SIZE_MAX to ARRAY_SIZE() in the register_net_sysctl macro. Failing to do
so would erroneously allow ARRAY_SIZE() to be called on a pointer. We
hold off the SIZE_MAX to ARRAY_SIZE change until we have migrated all
the relevant net sysctl registering functions to register_net_sysctl_sz
in subsequent commits.

An additional size function was added to the following files in order to
calculate the size of an array that is defined in another file:
    include/net/ipv6.h
    net/ipv6/icmp.c
    net/ipv6/route.c
    net/ipv6/sysctl_net_ipv6.c
