commit 8f905c0e7354ef261360fb7535ea079b1082c105 upstream.

syzbot reported various issues around early demux,
one being included in this changelog [1]

sk-&gt;sk_rx_dst is using RCU protection without clearly
documenting it.

And following sequences in tcp_v4_do_rcv()/tcp_v6_do_rcv()
are not following standard RCU rules.

[a]    dst_release(dst);
[b]    sk-&gt;sk_rx_dst = NULL;

They look wrong because a delete operation of RCU protected
pointer is supposed to clear the pointer before
the call_rcu()/synchronize_rcu() guarding actual memory freeing.

In some cases indeed, dst could be freed before [b] is done.

We could cheat by clearing sk_rx_dst before calling
dst_release(), but this seems the right time to stick
to standard RCU annotations and debugging facilities.

[ Upstream commit a8b897c7bcd47f4147d066e22cc01d1026d7640e ]

Kaustubh reported and diagnosed a panic in udp_lib_lookup().
The root cause is udp_abort() racing with close(). Both
racing functions acquire the socket lock, but udp{v6}_destroy_sock()
release it before performing destructive actions.

We can't easily extend the socket lock scope to avoid the race,
instead use the SOCK_DEAD flag to prevent udp_abort from doing
any action when the critical race happens.

commit 257a525fe2e49584842c504a92c27097407f778f upstream.

When the commit a6024562ffd7 ("udp: Add GRO functions to UDP socket")
added udp[46]_lib_lookup_skb to the udp_gro code path, it broke
the reuseport_select_sock() assumption that skb-&gt;data is pointing
to the transport header.

This patch follows an earlier __udp6_lib_err() fix by
passing a NULL skb to avoid calling the reuseport's bpf_prog.

<title>net: udp: fix handling of CHECKSUM_COMPLETE packets</title>

[ Upstream commit db4f1be3ca9b0ef7330763d07bf4ace83ad6f913 ]

Current handling of CHECKSUM_COMPLETE packets by the UDP stack is
incorrect for any packet that has an incorrect checksum value.

udp4/6_csum_init() will both make a call to
__skb_checksum_validate_complete() to initialize/validate the csum
field when receiving a CHECKSUM_COMPLETE packet. When this packet
fails validation, skb-&gt;csum will be overwritten with the pseudoheader
checksum so the packet can be fully validated by software, but the
skb-&gt;ip_summed value will be left as CHECKSUM_COMPLETE so that way
the stack can later warn the user about their hardware spewing bad
checksums. Unfortunately, leaving the SKB in this state can cause
problems later on in the checksum calculation.

Since the the packet is still marked as CHECKSUM_COMPLETE,
udp_csum_pull_header() will SUBTRACT the checksum of the UDP header
from skb-&gt;csum instead of adding it, leaving us with a garbage value
in that field. Once we try to copy the packet to userspace in the
udp4/6_recvmsg(), we'll make a call to skb_copy_and_csum_datagram_msg()
to checksum the packet data and add it in the garbage skb-&gt;csum value
to perform our final validation check.

Since the value we're validating is not the proper checksum, it's possible
that the folded value could come out to 0, causing us not to drop the
packet. Instead, we believe that the packet was checksummed incorrectly
by hardware since skb-&gt;ip_summed is still CHECKSUM_COMPLETE, and we attempt
to warn the user with netdev_rx_csum_fault(skb-&gt;dev);

Unfortunately, since this is the UDP path, skb-&gt;dev has been overwritten
by skb-&gt;dev_scratch and is no longer a valid pointer, so we end up
reading invalid memory.

This patch addresses this problem in two ways:
	1) Do not use the dev pointer when calling netdev_rx_csum_fault()
	   from skb_copy_and_csum_datagram_msg(). Since this gets called
	   from the UDP path where skb-&gt;dev has been overwritten, we have
	   no way of knowing if the pointer is still valid. Also for the
	   sake of consistency with the other uses of
	   netdev_rx_csum_fault(), don't attempt to call it if the
	   packet was checksummed by software.

	2) Add better CHECKSUM_COMPLETE handling to udp4/6_csum_init().
	   If we receive a packet that's CHECKSUM_COMPLETE that fails
	   verification (i.e. skb-&gt;csum_valid == 0), check who performed
	   the calculation. It's possible that the checksum was done in
	   software by the network stack earlier (such as Netfilter's
	   CONNTRACK module), and if that says the checksum is bad,
	   we can drop the packet immediately instead of waiting until
	   we try and copy it to userspace. Otherwise, we need to
	   mark the SKB as CHECKSUM_NONE, since the skb-&gt;csum field
	   no longer contains the full packet checksum after the
	   call to __skb_checksum_validate_complete().

commit 2abb7cdc0dc8 ("udp: Add support for doing checksum
unnecessary conversion") left out the early demux path for
connected sockets. As a result IP_CMSG_CHECKSUM gives wrong
values for such socket when GRO is not enabled/available.

This change addresses the issue by moving the csum conversion to a
common helper and using such helper in both the default and the
early demux rx path.

Fix more memory leaks in ip_cmsg_send() callers. Part of them were fixed
earlier in 919483096bfe.

* udp_sendmsg one was there since the beginning when linux sources were
  first added to git;
* ping_v4_sendmsg one was copy/pasted in c319b4d76b9e.

Whenever return happens in udp_sendmsg() or ping_v4_sendmsg() IP options
have to be freed if they were allocated previously.

Add label so that future callers (if any) can use it instead of kfree()
before return that is easy to forget.

[ Upstream commit 15f35d49c93f4fa9875235e7bf3e3783d2dd7a1b ]

Since UDP-Lite is always using checksum, the following path is
triggered when calculating pseudo header for it:

  udp4_csum_init() or udp6_csum_init()
    skb_checksum_init_zero_check()
      __skb_checksum_validate_complete()

The problem can appear if skb-&gt;len is less than CHECKSUM_BREAK. In
this particular case __skb_checksum_validate_complete() also invokes
__skb_checksum_complete(skb). If UDP-Lite is using partial checksum
that covers only part of a packet, the function will return bad
checksum and the packet will be dropped.

It can be fixed if we skip skb_checksum_init_zero_check() and only
set the required pseudo header checksum for UDP-Lite with partial
checksum before udp4_csum_init()/udp6_csum_init() functions return.
