<title>dst: fix races in rt6_uncached_list_del() and rt_del_uncached_list()</title>

syzbot was able to crash the kernel in rt6_uncached_list_flush_dev()
in an interesting way [1]

Crash happens in list_del_init()/INIT_LIST_HEAD() while writing
list-&gt;prev, while the prior write on list-&gt;next went well.

Issue here is that rt6_uncached_list_del() did not attempt to lock
ul-&gt;lock, as list_empty(&amp;rt-&gt;dst.rt_uncached) returned
true because the WRITE_ONCE(list-&gt;next, list) happened on the other CPU.

We might use list_del_init_careful() and list_empty_careful(),
or make sure rt6_uncached_list_del() always grabs the spinlock
whenever rt-&gt;dst.rt_uncached_list has been set.

A similar fix is neeed for IPv4.

Followup of commit 88fe14253e18 ("net: dst: add four helpers
to annotate data-races around dst-&gt;dev").

We want to gradually add explicit RCU protection to dst-&gt;dev,
including lockdep support.

Add an union to alias dst-&gt;dev_rcu and dst-&gt;dev.

Add dst_dev_net_rcu() helper.

dst-&gt;dev is read locklessly in many contexts,
and written in dst_dev_put().

Fixing all the races is going to need many changes.

We probably will have to add full RCU protection.

Add three helpers to ease this painful process.

Upstream fix ac888d58869b ("net: do not delay dst_entries_add() in
dst_release()") moved decrementing the dst count from dst_destroy to
dst_release to avoid accessing already freed data in case of netns
dismantle. However in case CONFIG_DST_CACHE is enabled and OvS+tunnels
are used, this fix is incomplete as the same issue will be seen for
cached dsts:

Remove the hidden assumption that options are allocated at the end of
the struct, and teach the compiler about them using a flexible array.

With this, we can revert the unsafe_memcpy() call we have in
tun_dst_unclone() [1], and resolve the false field-spanning write
warning caused by the memcpy() in ip_tunnel_info_opts_set().

The layout of struct ip_tunnel_info remains the same with this patch.
Before this patch, there was an implicit padding at the end of the
struct, options would be written at 'info + 1' which is after the
padding.
This will remain the same as this patch explicitly aligns 'options'.
The alignment is needed as the options are later casted to different

dst_entries_add() uses per-cpu data that might be freed at netns
dismantle from ip6_route_net_exit() calling dst_entries_destroy()

Before ip6_route_net_exit() can be called, we release all
the dsts associated with this netns, via calls to dst_release(),
which waits an rcu grace period before calling dst_destroy()

dst_entries_add() use in dst_destroy() is racy, because
dst_entries_destroy() could have been called already.

Decrementing the number of dsts must happen sooner.

Notes:

1) in CONFIG_XFRM case, dst_destroy() can call
   dst_release_immediate(child), this might also cause UAF
   if the child does not have DST_NOCOUNT set.
   IPSEC maintainers might take a look and see how to address this.

2) There is also discussion about removing this count of dst,
   which might happen in future kernels.

Since commit 52df157f17e56 ("xfrm: take refcnt of dst when creating
struct xfrm_dst bundle") dst_destroy() returns only NULL and no caller
cares about the return value.
There are no in in-tree users of dst_destroy() outside of the file.

Make dst_destroy() static and return void.
