Commit 41ebcc0907c5 ("crush: remove forcefeed functionality") from
May 7, 2012 (linux-next), leads to the following Smatch static
checker warning:

	net/ceph/crush/mapper.c:1015 crush_do_rule()
	warn: iterator 'j' not incremented

Before commit 41ebcc0907c5 ("crush: remove forcefeed functionality"),
we had this logic:

  j = 0;
  if (osize == 0 &amp;&amp; force_pos &gt;= 0) {
      o[osize] = force_context[force_pos];
      if (recurse_to_leaf)
          c[osize] = force_context[0];
      j++; /* &lt;-- this was the only increment, now gone */
      force_pos--;
  }
  /* then crush_choose_*(..., o+osize, j, ...) */

Now, the variable j is dead code — a variable that is set
and never meaningfully varied. This patch simply removes
the dead code.

generated:

net/ceph/crush/mapper.c:466: warning: Function parameter or struct member 'work' not described in 'crush_choose_firstn'

Currently, when built with "make W=1", the following warnings are
generated:

net/ceph/crush/mapper.c:655: warning: Function parameter or struct member 'map' not described in 'crush_choose_indep'
net/ceph/crush/mapper.c:655: warning: Function parameter or struct member 'work' not described in 'crush_choose_indep'

net/ceph/crush/mapper.c:655: warning: Function parameter or struct member 'parent_r' not described in 'crush_choose_indep'
net/ceph/crush/mapper.c:655: warning: Function parameter or struct member 'choose_args' not described in 'crush_choose_indep'

These warnings are generated because the prologue comment for
crush_choose_indep() uses the kernel-doc prefix, but the actual
comment is a very brief description that is not in kernel-doc
format. Since this is a static function there is no need to fully
document the function, so replace the kernel-doc comment prefix with a
standard comment prefix to remove these warnings.

the new pseudo-keyword macro fallthrough[1]. Also, remove unnecessary
fall-through markings when it is the case.

<title>libceph: replace HTTP links with HTTPS ones</title>

Rationale:
Reduces attack surface on kernel devs opening the links for MITM
as HTTPS traffic is much harder to manipulate.

Deterministic algorithm:
For each file:
  If not .svg:
    For each line:
      If doesn't contain `\bxmlns\b`:
        For each link, `\bhttp://[^# \t\r\n]*(?:\w|/)`:
	  If neither `\bgnu\.org/license`, nor `\bmozilla\.org/MPL\b`:
            If both the HTTP and HTTPS versions
            return 200 OK and serve the same content:
              Replace HTTP with HTTPS.

It is not just a pointer to crush_work, it is the whole structure.
That is not a problem since it only contains a pointer. But it will
be a problem if new data members are added to crush_work.
