isofs_fh_to_dentry() and isofs_fh_to_parent() pass an attacker-
controlled block number (ifid-&gt;block or ifid-&gt;parent_block) from
the NFS file handle to isofs_export_iget(), which only rejects
block == 0 before calling isofs_iget() and ultimately sb_bread().
A crafted file handle with fh_len sufficient to pass the check
added by commit 0405d4b63d08 ("isofs: Prevent the use of too small
fid") can still drive the server to read any in-range block on the
backing device as if it were an iso_directory_record.  That earlier
fix was assigned CVE-2025-37780.

sb_bread() on an out-of-range block returns NULL cleanly via the
EIO path, so there is no memory-safety violation.  For in-range
reads of adjacent-partition data on the same block device, the
unrelated bytes end up in iso_inode_info fields that reach the NFS
client as dentry metadata.  The deployment surface (isofs exported
over NFS from loop-mounted images) is narrow and requires an
authenticated NFS peer, but the malformed-file-handle class is
reportable as hardening next to the existing CVE-2025-37780 fix.

Reject block &gt;= ISOFS_SB(sb)-&gt;s_nzones in isofs_export_iget() so
the check covers both isofs_fh_to_dentry() and isofs_fh_to_parent()
call sites with a single line.

rock_continue() reads rs-&gt;cont_extent verbatim from the Rock Ridge CE
record and passes it to sb_bread() without checking that the block
number is within the mounted ISO 9660 volume.  commit e595447e177b
("[PATCH] rock.c: handle corrupted directories") added cont_offset
and cont_size rejection for the CE continuation but did not validate
the extent block number itself.  commit f54e18f1b831 ("isofs: Fix
infinite looping over CE entries") later capped the CE chain length
at RR_MAX_CE_ENTRIES = 32 but again left the block number unchecked.

With a crafted ISO mounted via udisks2 (desktop optical auto-mount)
or via CAP_SYS_ADMIN mount, rs-&gt;cont_extent can therefore point at
an out-of-range block or at blocks belonging to an adjacent
filesystem on the same block device.  sb_bread() on an out-of-range
block returns NULL cleanly via the block layer EIO path, so there
is no memory-safety violation.  For in-range reads of adjacent-
filesystem data, the CE buffer is parsed as Rock Ridge records and
only the text of SL sub-records reaches userspace through
readlink(), which makes the info-leak channel narrow and difficult
to exploit; still, rejecting the malformed CE outright matches the
rejection shape already present in the same function for
cont_offset and cont_size.

Add an ISOFS_SB(sb)-&gt;s_nzones bounds check to rock_continue() next
to the existing offset/size rejection, printing the same
corrupted-directory-entry notice.

This was done entirely with mindless brute force, using

    git grep -l '\&lt;k[vmz]*alloc_objs*(.*, GFP_KERNEL)' |
        xargs sed -i 's/\(alloc_objs*(.*\), GFP_KERNEL)/\1)/'

to convert the new alloc_obj() users that had a simple GFP_KERNEL
argument to just drop that argument.

Note that due to the extreme simplicity of the scripting, any slightly
more complex cases spread over multiple lines would not be triggered:
they definitely exist, but this covers the vast bulk of the cases, and
the resulting diff is also then easier to check automatically.

For the same reason the 'flex' versions will be done as a separate
conversion.

This is the result of running the Coccinelle script from
scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci. The script is designed to
avoid scalar types (which need careful case-by-case checking), and
instead replace kmalloc-family calls that allocate struct or union
object instances:

Single allocations:	kmalloc(sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_obj(TYPE, ...)

Array allocations:	kmalloc_array(COUNT, sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_objs(TYPE, COUNT, ...)

Flex array allocations:	kmalloc(struct_size(PTR, FAM, COUNT), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_flex(*PTR, FAM, COUNT, ...)

(where TYPE may also be *VAR)

The resulting allocations no longer return "void *", instead returning
"TYPE *".

Linux file names are in principle limited only to PATH_MAX (which is
4096) but the code in get_rock_ridge_filename() limits them to 253
characters.

As mentioned by Jan Kara, the Rockridge standard to ECMA119/ISO9660 has
no limit of file name length, but this limits file names to the
traditional 255 NAME_MAX value.

Add the setlease file_operation to generic_ro_fops, which covers file
operations for several read-only filesystems (BEFS, EFS, ISOFS, QNX4,
QNX6, CRAMFS, FREEVXFS). Also add setlease to the directory
file_operations for these filesystems.	A future patch will change the
default behavior to reject lease attempts with -EINVAL when there is no
setlease file operation defined. Add generic_setlease to retain the
ability to set leases on these filesystems.

Pull vfs inode updates from Christian Brauner:
 "Features:

   - Hide inode-&gt;i_state behind accessors. Open-coded accesses prevent
     asserting they are done correctly. One obvious aspect is locking,
     but significantly more can be checked. For example it can be
     detected when the code is clearing flags which are already missing,
     or is setting flags when it is illegal (e.g., I_FREEING when
     -&gt;i_count &gt; 0)

   - Provide accessors for -&gt;i_state, converts all filesystems using
     coccinelle and manual conversions (btrfs, ceph, smb, f2fs, gfs2,
     overlayfs, nilfs2, xfs), and makes plain -&gt;i_state access fail to
     compile

   - Rework I_NEW handling to operate without fences, simplifying the
     code after the accessor infrastructure is in place

  Cleanups:

   - Move wait_on_inode() from writeback.h to fs.h

   - Spell out fenced -&gt;i_state accesses with explicit smp_wmb/smp_rmb
     for clarity

   - Cosmetic fixes to LRU handling

   - Push list presence check into inode_io_list_del()

   - Touch up predicts in __d_lookup_rcu()

   - ocfs2: retire ocfs2_drop_inode() and I_WILL_FREE usage

   - Assert on -&gt;i_count in iput_final()

   - Assert -&gt;i_lock held in __iget()
