Now that the SPDX tag is in all USB files, that identifies the license in a specific and legally-defined manner. So the extra GPL text wording can be removed as it is no longer needed at all. This is done on a quest to remove the 700+ different ways that files in the kernel describe the GPL license text. And there's unneeded stuff like the address (sometimes incorrect) for the FSF which is never needed. No copyright headers or other non-license-description text was removed. It's good to have SPDX identifiers in all files to make it easier to audit the kernel tree for correct licenses. Update the drivers/usb/ and include/linux/usb* files with the correct SPDX license identifier based on the license text in the file itself. The SPDX identifier is a legally binding shorthand, which can be used instead of the full boiler plate text. Use the calc_num_ports callback to ignore unused endpoints. The driver binds to any interface with at least one bulk-in and one bulk-out endpoint, but some devices can have three or more endpoints of which only either the first or second pair of endpoints is needed. This avoids allocating resources for unused endpoints, and specifically a port is no longer registered for the unused first endpoint pair when there are more than three endpoints. Allow subdrivers to modify the port-endpoint mapping by passing the endpoint descriptors to calc_num_ports. The callback can now also be used to verify that the required endpoints exists and abort probing otherwise. This will allow us to get rid of a few hacks in subdrivers that are already modifying the port-endpoint mapping (or aborting probe due to missing endpoints), but only after the port structures have been setup. The code expects the loop to end with "retries" set to zero but, because it is a post-op, it will end set to -1. I have fixed this by moving the decrement inside the loop.
