This is the result of running the Coccinelle script from scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci. The script is designed to avoid scalar types (which need careful case-by-case checking), and instead replace kmalloc-family calls that allocate struct or union object instances: Single allocations: kmalloc(sizeof(TYPE), ...) are replaced with: kmalloc_obj(TYPE, ...) Array allocations: kmalloc_array(COUNT, sizeof(TYPE), ...) are replaced with: kmalloc_objs(TYPE, COUNT, ...) Flex array allocations: kmalloc(struct_size(PTR, FAM, COUNT), ...) are replaced with: kmalloc_flex(*PTR, FAM, COUNT, ...) (where TYPE may also be *VAR) The resulting allocations no longer return "void *", instead returning "TYPE *". Signed-off-by: Kees Cook

kernel.h: drop hex.h and update all hex.h users

Remove from and update all users/callers of hex.h interfaces to directly #include as part of the process of putting kernel.h on a diet. Removing hex.h from kernel.h means that 36K C source files don't have to pay the price of parsing hex.h for the roughly 120 C source files that need it. This change has been build-tested with allmodconfig on most ARCHes. Also, all users/callers of in the entire source tree have been updated if needed (if not already #included). As this warning occurs in clang's frontend before inlining occurs, it cannot know that these conditions are indentical to avoid the warning. Manually inline cxacru_upload_firmware() into cxacru_heavy_init(), as that is its only callsite, so that clang can see that bp is initialized and used under the same condition, clearing up the warning without any functional changes to the code (LLVM was already doing this inlining later). usb: atm: cxacru: fix a flaw in existing endpoint checks

Syzbot once again identified a flaw in usb endpoint checking, see [1]. This time the issue stems from a commit authored by me (2eabb655a968 ("usb: atm: cxacru: fix endpoint checking in cxacru_bind()")). While using usb_find_common_endpoints() may usually be enough to discard devices with wrong endpoints, in this case one needs more than just finding and identifying the sufficient number of endpoints of correct types - one needs to check the endpoint's address as well. Since cxacru_bind() fills URBs with CXACRU_EP_CMD address in mind, switch the endpoint verification approach to usb_check_XXX_endpoints() instead to fix incomplete ep testing.
