ida_alloc() and ida_free() should be preferred to the deprecated ida_simple_get() and ida_simple_remove(). Note that the upper limit of ida_simple_get() is exclusive, but the one of ida_alloc_range()/ida_alloc_max() is inclusive. So a -1 has been added when needed. As there will be more USB4 devices that support NVM firmware upgrade from various vendors, it makes sense to split out the Intel specific NVM image handling from the generic code. This moves the Intel specific NVM handling into a new structure that will be matched by the device type and the vendor ID. Do this for both routers and retimers. thunderbolt: Split NVM read/write generic functions out from usb4.c

We do this for Thunderbolt 2/3 devices through DMA port, USB4 devices and retimers pretty much the same way. Only the actual block read/write is different. This allows userspace to have a shorter period of time that the device is unusable and to call it at a more convenient time.
